What Would You Do Without a Sentiment?

Happy Friday and welcome to an all new TGIF What Would You Do Challenge.  This week we were challenged to create a card without a sentiment.  Seems easy enough, right?  WRONG!  To create a card without a sentiment is, well, challenging!

I decided to go with some big, bold Artistically Inked flowers to cover the card front.  The two large blooms were stamped in Calypso Coral, with So Saffron centers.  The smaller flowers were stamped in Pale Papaya, with Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent leaves.

Some bits of gold were added with the Artistic Dies leaves cut from Distressed Gold and a few Seasonal Sequins.
Did you notice the marbled background?  This was created with the marbled image from the stamp set, stamped several times across the card stock.  I LOVE how it turned out.  Some texture was added with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder.

This all ended up coming together in the end.  Now the real question...will I add a sentiment at a later time?!?  Only the recipient will know!

Join along in this fun and challenging challenge!  I can't wait to see all of the sentiment-less creations!

Happy Stampin!

Bewitching Treats

When I made my  If You've Got It, Haunt It card earlier this week, I stamped a few sets of the witches hats and boots to use at a later time.  It turns out it wasn't too much later before I had the itch to create another Bewitching project.
I've had the Mini Pocket Envelope Dies for a while, just waiting to be used.  These little envelopes are great for gifting gift cards, but it also happened to be the perfect size for a treat size Halloween bag of M&M's.

I started out with just the witches hat and boots, but something felt like it was missing.  After going through my stash, I discovered some "spiderwebs" in the Wonderful Snowflakes! Perfect for the cute little spider to hang out in! The Happy Halloween sentiment comes from the September Spooky Treats Paper Pumpkin kit.

See below for the quick and easy way to turn your Wonderful Snowflakes into spooky spiderwebs!
To create the spiderweb, I snipped off the ends of the snowflakes and colored the backside (non-shiny side)with the Dark Basic Black Stampin' Blend.  How fun is this?!?!

If You've Got it, Haunt it!

Hi stampers! Welcome to another awesome Monday Montage blog hop!

Fall is officially here, but it sure hasn't felt like it!  We had a weekend full sunshine and warmth and I'll take every moment of it that I can!

While the weather may not feel fall-like yet, that isn't stopping me from inking up the adorable Bewitching stamp set!
My intent was to place the 3 hats, all upright, across the front of the card.  But I didn't like the way they looked, so upside down one of them went!  If you've got it, haunt it, right?!?!
The images were colored in Stampin' Blends shades of Fresh Freesia, Parakeet Party and Pumpkin Pie.  The hats were punched out with the coordinating Witch Hat Builder and one set of the boots and socks were fussy cut.

The creepy-cute little spider filled in a little space in the upper right corner and a single black Classic Matt Dot was the only embellishment needed.  The fun sentiment comes from the Best Witches stamp set, which was meant to be paired up with these fun witch hats and boots!

Wishing you all a fantastic week!

Full of {Colorful} Love

Most of my mornings consist of a little stamping before I head in to work and this morning I decided to play along with the latest Global Design Project Color Challenge.  How fun are these colors?!? Rumor has it they will be selecting one person from this months challenge to be a Guest Designer for the next color challenge...so exciting!

I just recently added the Full of Color stamp set to my collection during the 24 hour stamp sale and these colors seem perfect! After coloring the flowers in leaves in shades of Flirty Flamingo, Parakeet Party and Shaded Spruce, I fussy cut the image.  I was going to go with a super clean and simple card and just pop the image up on a Basic White card front.  Then the creativity bug bit me and I decided to add a Stylish Shapes circle with strips of color coordinated paper.  This was a quick and easy way to add another pop of color!

Some days I am even lucky enough to sneak in a little evening stamp time as well and this evening just happened to be one of those days!

Using the scraps I still had out on my desk, I created a fun paper stripe background for the other adorable Full of Love floral image. I love the added stitched look from Rectangle Stitched and Stylish Shapes Dies!

Any day is a good day to stamp and it's an even better day when you start AND end your day with stamping!

Ringed with Thoughtfulness

It's time for an all new sketch challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments!  I hope you'll all join along in the fun!

I was super short on time, so I was grateful for a clean and simple sketch.
I immediately thought of the tree ring from Ringed with Nature stamp set when I saw this sketch.  I stamped a few of the flowers in some festive fall shades of Merry Merlot, So Saffron, Old Olive and Cajun Craze, fussy cutting each flower.

The So Saffron Gingham Cottage DSP seemed like a fitting background.  I love this DSP and have been using it on nearly every card I make right now! I also used Very Vanilla to stamp on rather than Basic White.  Very Vanilla always has a bit more of a fall feel to me...how about you?

A few Amber Gems from the Leave Label & Amber Gem Pack and a bit of Linen Thread were the final fall touches to this simple Thinking of You greeting.

Wishing you all a terrific Tuesday!

Stepping Things Up - Control Freaks Blog Hop

Hello stampers and welcome to another Control Freaks Blog Hop!  This month we are stepping things up with our projects. Did you just arrive from the amazing creation from Melissa Davies of Rubber Funatics or are you just getting started?  Either way, make sure you don't miss a single stop along the way!

I decided to make my focus on the beautiful Perfectly Penciled DSP for my projects today.  I always love any black and white DSP and this pack of paper does not disappoint!

For my first card, I keep things simple with nothing but paper, stamps and ink...and maybe some embossing powder too!  Charming Sentiments stamp set was perfect to go along with each different design.

Next up is another pattern of Perfectly Penciled with a little pop of color.  I die-cut
circle from the center of DSP and colored the flowers with Calypso Coral and Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends.  I wanted a bit more color, so I filled in the remaining white space with Pool Party Stampin' Blends.  The colored circle was then layered on a Basic Black circled, carefully lined up to match the black and white flowers behind.

Next up is the big step up...lot of color for the flowers, followed by lots of fussy cutting!  These beautiful blooms were popped up with a few Dimensionals on top of a Basic White background with just the right amount of splatter.  Some separated threads of Parakeet Party Metallic Woven Thread were tucked behind the sentiment, along with a few Fine Sparkle Adhesive-backed Gems scattered around the floral image as a finishing touch.
It's always fun to start simple and step things up!

Check out Cindy Elam of Hearts Delight Cards to see how she stepped things up too!
Thanks for hopping along with all of us!

A Little Birdie Told Me...

A sweet little songbird told me there was a fun Theme Challenge over at TGIF Challenges this week.  My favorite person in the big brown truck just recently delivered a box that included the Sweet Songbirds bundle...perfect for today's challenge!

The birch tree pattern of Happy Forest Friends was meant for this sweet little birdie perched in a nest!  I stamped the branch in Soft Suede, adding some Old Olive leaves and Calypso Coral flowers. I broke out the paper snips and fussy cut the branch, along with a Crumb Cake nest.

I stamped the sweet songbird in So Saffron with a Pumpkin Pie beak...so cute!  No fussy cutting for the birdie though...there's a punch for that!  The Songbird Builder Punch is so much fun!

A layer of the Calypso Coral Happy Forest Friends helped to bring out the flowers and a Sahara Sand card base tied everything together!

Join along in the fun!  I can't wait to see all of the little birdies everyone creates!

Fussy Cutting and Shaking Things Up

Hello stampers and happy Wednesday! We've made it to the middle of the week...we can totally make it to the weekend!

I returned to my old job this school year at our district office, which means shorter days that allow for MORE stamp time in the mornings and afternoons.  This makes me one happy stamper!  I was able to play along with one of this months Stampin' Up! Official fussy cutting challenges.  In addition to fussy cutting, they challenged us to create a shaker card as well!

You all know by now that fussy cutting is one of my FAVORITE things to do.  I love sitting down with a cute piece of DSP, snipping out all of the fun images.  But it's been a minute since I've made a shaker card!  I decided to keep things pretty simple and made a little snow globe shaker.

Using the Stylish Shapes Dies, I die cut a circle from a piece of Basic White then embossed it with the Whimsical Woodland 3D embossing folder.  I fussy cut some of the cute Storybook Gnomes DSP forest critters and used one of the snowflake patterns as the background.  I filled the shaker with some Effervescent Elements and some of the blue For Everything Fancy Sequins.

A simple Soft Suede base was added to the snow globe with a sweet and simple sentiment and bow.  No other embellishments were needed!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday and the rest of your week is amazing!

Happy Stamping!

Autumn is Coming ~ Monday Montage

It's time for another fabulous Monday Montage Blog Hop! We've got a hop full of beautiful creations that are sure to inspire you!

Temperatures have started to drop in the evenings and the mornings have a crisp fall feel to them...that means it's time to break out the fall stamps, such as the beautiful Fond of Autumn.  I had so much fun creating one card, I had to create a second using totally different colors and DSP.

Which one is your favorite?!?

I started out with softer colors pulled from the Textured Chic DSP for the first card.   I used Stampin' Blends in shades of Petal Pink, Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen, Calypso Coral, So Saffron and Soft Suede to color the large floral image from the stamp set.
I love that there is a die that cuts the large image into several individual images so you can break them up and rearrange them!  Thanks to this brilliant die design, I was able to tuck the pieces behind the sentiment, just how I wanted them!  I finished the card up with a Linen Thread bow and a few Seasonal Sequins.

Next up is more of a farmhouse style...I think this is my favorite!
I chose the same layout with the DSP and placement of the die-cut pieces, but colored them in brighter shades of Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Soft Suede.  This card was fished off with White bakers twin and more of the Season Sequins.

It's always so much fun to see how much you can change the look of a card just by changing out the DSP and colors!

Be sure to keep on hopping and check out my friend Cathy of Sugar Shack Designs!
Or if you want to hop on back, you'll find yourself at my friend Wendy of Wickedly Wonderful Creations!

Sweet Sunflowers Inspiration

Happy Tuesday stampers and welcome to a beautiful-fall Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge.  Fall has not yet made an appearance where I live, but it will be here soon!

We spent the long weekend enjoying our last official week of summer break.  It was packed full of family, friends and county fair fun!  I didn't get nearly as much stamping done as I had hoped, but I wouldn't trade our family time together for anything!  Thankfully, the August Sweet Sunflower Paper Pumpkin kit was perfect for this inspiration challenge!

Using the Stitched Rectangle Dies, I die-cut the front of one of the card bases and layered it on top of the backside of the card base.  These were both adhered to a Blackberry Bliss card base.  I stamped the sunflower image on the pre-cut sunflower pieces in Crushed Curry and Soft Suede, then added some additional flowers and cute little bumble bees.

The sentiment was stamped in Blackberry Bliss on another pre-cut piece from this beautiful Paper Pumpkin kit to go along with the Blackberry Bliss strip, which was also included in the kit.  Do you spy the subtle honeycomb pieces too?  I love these!

I love how quickly this card came together!  I hope you will join along in the creative fun and share your creation with us!

Colorful Happy Place

Happy Friday stampin' friends!  Sorry for the delay in getting this post up...I kind of forgot to finish my post.  Oops!

It's time for an all new TGIF Challenges and we have a colorful one for you this week!  The new In Colors are so bright and cheerful...I love them all!

Since I still had This Birthday Piggy sitting out on my desk, I reached for the adorable piggy sleeping in the mud and made him a cute little wagon of flowers to rest in.  I, once again, used my Stampin' Blends to color the stamped image, then added some die-cut flowers to match.

Strips of the 2022-2024 In-Color DSP created the perfect happy place for this piggy to stay!

Join along in our colorful fun this week and share your projects with us!

Have a fabulous weekend!

Happy Stamping!
