Hip Hip Hooray

Hip Hip Hooray and Happy Birthday!

February is a busy birthday month...I have so many friends and family who celebrate their birthday this month, so I've been busy creating lots of birthday cards lately.

I love the fun and funky party hat from the Silhouettes & Script Hostess stamp set...it is one of my favorite hostess stamp sets!  Be sure to head on over to Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration today to see more INKspiring creations with other hostess sets!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White
Ink ~ Melon Mambo, Mint Macaron, Crushed Curry, Basic Black
Stamp Set ~ Silhouettes & Script
Other Supplies ~ It's My Party Washi Tape, It's My Party Enamel Dots, Basic Black/Mint Macaron Thick Bakers Twine

Have you heard about Shannon West's #IMBRINGINGBIRTHDAYSBACK movement yet?  It is taking off like wild fire and I LOVE it!  She started the year out by asking her friends and family to send her their birthday and address so she could send them a hand stamped birthday card.  After seeing it re-posted by another fellow demonstrator, I jumped on the band wagon and have quite the list of cards to send out throughout the year!  Who doesn't love to get happy mail, especially on their birthday?!?!?

Be sure to check back tomorrow for some fun Valentine treats I made for my boys this week.

Happy Stamping!

Hello, Have a Sunny Day

It's Monday...and I've got a serious case of the Monday "blah's", especially now that I'm really back to reality after being on vacation with all of my favorite Stampin' people!  But I am counting my blessings and feeling extremely grateful that I was able to attend Convention and spend time with so many amazing friends!
I have one last swap to share with you today.  This was for the group of stampers who participated in the 2014 Convention Display Boards.  We decided we love swapping so much last year that we had to do it again this year and let me tell you...all of the swaps I received were amazing!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Calypso Coral, Gold Glimmer Paper, Neutrals DSP Stack
Ink ~ Crushed Curry, Pool Party
Stamp Sets ~ Silhouettes & Script, Watercolor Wash
Other Supplies ~ Circle Framelits, Greetings Thinlits, Metallics Sequins Assortment, Gold Metallic Thread

So, I had to finish assembling these swaps in Salt Lake City and as I was getting ready to put on the finishing touches, I realized my sequins were missing.  Myself and all of my roommates looked high and low, but never did find them. So, sorry to all of my fellow swappers...your card was a little more naked than this :(

Ok, now it really is back to reality...time to work!  But work means money and money means new stamps from the Holiday Catalog!  Be sure to check back tomorrow for a little sneak peek :-)

Happy Stamping!

Shoebox Swappin' in SLC

Good morning from beautiful Salt Lake City!  I escaped the smoky skies of home (please pray for all of the firefighters working to put out the fire and for the families whose homes are at stake!) and had an uneventful flight where I met my SLC BFF Wendy.  Oh how I've missed her and was SO happy to spend the morning with her!  (And very grateful she ran me around so I didn't have to walk everywhere!)
Later in the afternoon, I met some of my roomies at the bus stop and the fun times began!  Kim, Donna and Cynthia were the first to arrive, closely followed by Heidi.  We chatted and crafted away the afternoon, then had a great dinner at Red Rock Brewery.  Kim and Donna waited up for Diana to arrive and now our house is complete!  I can't wait to get a run in with the girls this morning and explore downtown SLC!
Since we don't have much going on this morning, we are going to do a little shoebox swap this morning and this is what I brought for everyone to make.  I love the Silhouettes & Script {hostess} stamp set!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Everyday Chic DSP
Ink ~ Calypso Coral, Old Olive
Stamp Set ~ Silhouettes & Script
Other Supplies ~ Silver Metallic Thread, Silver Sequin Trim, Everyday Chic Washi Tape

Super simple card, but the washi and bits of silver dress it up!  Hope the girls love it as much as I do!

I'm also sharing the gifts I made for everyone staying in the house too...nothing fancy, but still fun!
The first is a little tiny bucket of jelly beans...because we need little sweet treats while we are stamping, right?!?!

The second part of their gift is a small journal that I embellished for them.  I thought this sentiment was perfect since we are all here doing what we love and what makes us happy!

I can't wait to see more of my stampin' friends as the week goes on!  This is always my favorite girls trip each year!  And we are going to have to make this year the best one yet since Convention will be changed up a bit after this year ;)

Happy Stampin' and see you soon!

Hello Sunny Day Picnic ~ FM216

It's finally Friday and it's shaping up to be another beautiful weekend....perfect for a sunny summer picnic, which just so happens to be the theme this week at Friday Mashup.
We are creating summer picnic cards and mashing things up by adding a sunshine/sunburst.  While I don't really have any picnic images, the Cucumber Crush DSP reminds me of a table cloth and cherries are always a favorite treat at our family picnics!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Cucumber Crush, Whisper White, Watermelon Wonder, Crushed Curry, Pool Party, Cherry on Top DSP
Ink ~ Crushed Curry
Stamp Set ~ Silhouettes & Script
Other Supplies ~ Tree Builder Punch, Banner Framelits, Decorative Dots Embossing Folder, Greetings Thinlits, Rhinestone Basic Jewels

I can't wait to pack up our cooler tomorrow and head out for a summer picnic at the pool.  Hope you get a chance to picnic this summer too!

Happy Stamping!

Hip Hip Horray...Happy Birthday

Happy Monday Stylin' Stampin' friends!  I hope you all had a fabulous 4th of July weekend...I know my family did!  I'm not ready for another week of work, but it does help that we are stating the week off with an all new SSINK Color Challenge.
I finally got my 2015-2017 In Color DSP stack...I love the new patterns in these DSP stacks!  The script pattern goes together so well with the Silhouettes & Script {Hostess} Stamp set.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Crumb Cake, Whisper White, 2015-2017 In Color DSP Stack {Watermelon Wonder}
Ink ~ Bermuda Bay, Watermelon Wonder
Stamp Set ~ Silhouettes & Script {Hostess}
Other Supplies ~ Bermuda Bay Bakers Twine, Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim, Natural Chevron Trim, Cherry on Top Washi Tape, Note Tag Punch

We have a big combined birthday party for all of our summer birthday friends this coming weekend and this card will be perfect for one of the birthday girls!

Be sure to check out the rest of the design team color challenges and don't forget to play along!

Happy Stamping!
