Celebrating 44 Years of Love

44 years ago my parents said I do...but their story didn't start there.  They started dating in the 7th grade!  You don't hear many love stories like theirs these days, which makes me love them even more.  They have set an amazing example not only for myself and my husband, but for our boys too.  It's so crazy to think that our twins could meet someone now and end up spending the rest of their life with them...
And can we just take a moment to say how CUTE my parents were in this picture?!?!  It has ALWAYS been one of my very favorites of them!
My parents just recently returned from a long trip to the Oregon Coast, their happy place, for an early anniversary celebration.  It seemed fitting to create them a peaceful ocean card for their anniversary.  And this sentiment could not fit them any better.  I am so grateful for the examples they have set and the light that their love shines!
This card was inspired by the sample in the upcoming 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.  I love the burst of sun over the water.  I sponged over the stamped images to create a softer look for the sun, water and sand.  Adding the lighthouse and birds in black created a fun silhouette look.

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake
Ink ~ Memento, Balmy Blue, Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral, Petal Pink, Crumb Cake
Stamp Set ~ High Tide
Other Supplies ~ Seaside Embossing Folder

Its looking like we might have kind of a cloudy day of weather, which hopefully means a little extra stamping time for me!  I've got lots of projects that I need to work on...both in my craft room and in my yard.  My craft room is sounding like a lot more fun than yard work!

Happy Saturday and Happy Stamping!

Forever & Always, By Your Side

Today my husband and I are celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary.  Our marriage has been one crazy adventure after another and I wouldn't trade a single moment of it!
I always envisioned us taking a trip back to Mexico for our 15th anniversary, but that was before we were blessed with 3 boys who have a big love for baseball.  Maybe we can shoot for that trip for our 25th...but for now, we will enjoy baseball season and dream of the beach with this anniversary card I made for my hubby.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Sahara Sand, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White
Ink ~ Sahara Sand, Bermuda Bay, Blueberry Bushel, Poppy Parade, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Early Espresso, Pool Party, Balmy Blue, Memento
Stamp Sets ~ Beach Happy, Itty Bitty Greetings, Waterfront, High Tide

I love being able to combine multiple stamp sets to make a card!  This one includes some of my very favorites...because I'm a warm, sunny beach girl at heart!

Wishing you all a happy Wednesday!

Happy Stamping!

Shine Your Light ~ Monday Montage

Welcome back to Monday Montage!!!  We are back with another fabulous hop!  Make sure you click on the links below so you don't miss any of the creations...you are sure to love them all!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  As always, it went by way too fast for me, but we made it a good one.  We spent all day Saturday at the baseball fields and caught up on a few chores around the house and yard on Sunday.  I'm so thankful for nice weather...finally!

My parents are down on the Oregon Coast for a few days to celebrate their anniversary.  They keep posting pictures, which has me longing for some time on the beach.  We will be going at the end of July, which seems like SO FAR away!  So...since I can't be at the beach now, I decided to create my own! I pulled out one of my favorites, High Tide, and added some cute little starfish from the new Under the Sea Framlits to create the perfect beach scene.

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Ink ~ Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate, Gray Granite, Old Olive, Pool Party, Balmy Blue, Mango Melody, Night of Navy, Blueberry Bushel, Tuxedo Black
Stamp Set ~ High Tide
Other Supplies ~ Tranquil Textures Sprinkles, Under the Sea Framelits

Who else needs a beach trip now?!?  I know I am counting down the days until we get to go.  There is just something about the beach that just washes away all of my stress and worries...it's my happy place!

Next stop on the hop is Cathy...I can't wait to see what she has for us this week! Or if you want to hop backwards, you can hop on back to the amazing Amy...I just love her style!

Thanks you for stopping by today!

Happy Stamping!

High Tide or Low Tide ~ HSS Inspiration Challenge # 269

Happy Tuesday stampin' friends!  I hope everyone is surviving the heatwave that seems to be making it's way across the US!

My family is enjoying a break from the heat while we vacation at the Oregon Coast.  It's been a very nice 70 degrees here the past few days, while it's 100+ at home.  I told my husband I'm not going home!

Today's Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge is rather fitting for me this week!  While the water is not nearly as warm as I would like it to be, the sun and the same are just right for me!

I created my own little seascape with the High Tide stamp set and some simple sponging to create a pretty sunset over the ocean.

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White
Ink ~ Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay, Crumb Cake, Soft Sky, Pool Party, Peekaboo Peach, Powder Pink, Calypso Coral, Basic Black
Stamp Set ~ High Tide, Hardwood
Other Supplies ~ Burlap Ribbon, Seasonal Layers Thinlits

Being at the beach is my happy place!  I look forward to coming here every summer and considered it an extra win when we get to come more than once a year!

Be sure to check out the rest of the beautiful design team creations and join along in the fun!

Happy Stamping!

Just Breathe ~ Monday Montage 96

Welcome back to Monday Montage!!!  We are back with another fabulous hop!  Make sure you click on the links below so you don't miss any of the creations...you are sure to love them all!

Training at my new job ended a little over a week ago and I am happily enjoying summer break with my kiddos!  My family all adjusted so well to my new work schedule and we are ALL loving my new job!  The person I was hired to replace retired after many years with the school district and I couldn't be more happy for her.  She was looking forward to taking a trip to the Oregon Coast and not having to worry about coming back anytime soon.  I can't wait for that day myself!  I am very grateful for the time we had together to train and hope I can go back to work in August and be able to do a good job of filling her shoes.

The card I am sharing today is the card I made for Judy, thanking her for sharing her years of wisdom with me.  I love this sentiment and it seems perfect for a retirement card!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White
Ink ~ Smoky Slate, Real Red, Marina Mist, Soft Suede, Crushed Curry, Basic Black, Old Olive
Stamp Set ~ High Tide, Colorful Seasons
Other Supplies ~ Seasonal Layers Thinlits

Next stop on the hop is Cathy...I can't wait to see what she has for us this week! Or if you want to hop backwards, you can hop on back to the amazing Amy...I just love her style!

Thanks for hopping along with us today!

The Light You Shine

Happy Monday stampin' friends!

It's the Monday after spring break, so my house is kind of dragging this morning!  After having a week without our crazy school mornings, I think I am looking forward to summer break more so than my kids are!  At least the last two months of the school year always seem to go by so fast, so summer will be here before we know it.

At least I had a fun new SSINK sketch to help get my day off to a good start!
My hubby and I are celebrating our 13th anniversary today and this card was created for him.  Finding the right sentiment for an anniversary card for a guy is not the easiest task, but I love this sentiment from the High Tide stamp set and it seemed to work well with the images from the Wherever You Go stamp set.  I love it when you can use more than one stamp set together!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink ~ Basic Black, Crushed Curry, Marina Mist, Smoky Slate
Stamp Sets ~ Wherever You Go, High Tide
Other Supplies ~ Burlap Ribbon, Black Baker Twine, Tags and Labels Framelits

Be sure to head on over to SSINK and see the rest of the fun creations from our design team and see what you are INKspired to create today!

#tgifc96 Designer Spotlight Bibi Cameron

Happy Friday friends and welcome to a new TGIF Challenge!
No automatic alt text available.
Today we are spotlighting Bibi Cameron and all of her awesomeness!.

Image may contain: 1 person
I didn't have the opportunity to be on a part of the TGIF design team with Bibi, but she provided so much inspiration while she was a part of the team!  She has amazing talent that inspires everyone!
This sentiment seemed to be very fitting as we wish Bibi well in her next creative adventure!  This card was inspired by one of her creations...
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Sahara Sand, Whisper White
Ink ~ Real Red, Smoky Slate, Basic Black, Marina Mist, Sahara Sand, Old Olive, Night of Navy
Stamp Sets ~ High Tide, Gorgeous Grunge
Other Supplies ~ Night of Navy Bakers Twine

The added banner using the stamp from Gorgeous Grunge was the brilliant idea I cased from one of Bibi's creations found HERE.

Be sure to check out how our design team spotlighted Bibi!  Then it's your turn to show us how you were inspired!

Happy Stamping!

Be Still, I've Got This

Hi stampers...welcome back!  It's been a while since I've had a week full of posts and I have to admit, it feels good to be creating as much as I have been.  My job has finally mellowed out after almost 2 years of crazy chaos and I am loving it!

I'm using the beautiful High Tide stamp set again today for a card that could be used as a Sympathy or Thinking of You card, which is what our focus is over at SSINK today.  I need to have more of these cards on hand as you never know when you might need one!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Watercolor Paper
Ink ~ Mint Macaron, Smoky Slate, Sahara Sand, Soft Sky, So Saffron
Stamp Sets ~ High Tide, Sending Thoughts
Other Supplies ~ Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Burlap Ribbon

I love creating the wood plank background with this lighthouse stamp.  You've seen it in one of my creations before and I am sure you'll see it again!

Thanks for stopping by again today!  Be sure to check back tomorrow morning for the SSINK blog hop!

Happy Stamping!

Shine Your Light

Happy Wednesday stampers!  How is your week going so far?  We're half way through...that's always a good thing!  And can you believe it's already February 1st?!?  That is just plain craziness right there!  But I will take the time flying by if it can get us to spring sooner!  We got hit with another winter storm yesterday, leaving us with about 6" of snow...gross.  I am ready for this winter to be over.
While I pout over the snow on the ground, I will daydream of my favorite beach and nearby lighthouse, which inspired today's card.  And after looking at it, I think the gray wintery weather must have inspired the colors ;-)
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Basic Gray, Whisper White, Night of Navy
Ink ~ Smoky Slate, Basic Gray, Night of Navy
Stamp Set ~ High Tide
Other Supplies ~ Night of Navy Bakers Twine

You can't see in the picture, but I used the Wink of Stella over the beams of light and it is SO PRETTY in person!  This card went out to a very special friend who has made a big impact on my life lately.  There is nothing little about the light she shines on everyone around her!

Happy Stamping!

I always seem to be short on masculine birthday cards, so I decided to use the beautiful new High Tide stamp set and create a card for my father-in-law's upcoming birthday.  I absolutely LOVE the lighthouse image in this set...it is amazing!

I created the plank background by inking up some watercolor paper with Soft Suede ink then running it through the Big Shot in the Woodgrain embossing folder while it was still a bit damp.

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Night of Navy, Whisper White, Watercolor Paper
Ink ~ Basic Black, Real Red, Smoky Slate, Marina Mist, Old Olive, Sahara Sand, Soft Suede, VersaMark
