Courage & Faith

Yesterday I dropped my youngest off for his first youth group camp.  One of his best buddies joined him and they were so excited and maybe just a little nervous.  Before he left, I managed to sneak this card into his Bible as a little surprise...

I played along with the latest Freshly Made Sketches sketch for the design. Coastal Cabana, Lemon Lime Twist, Crushed and Blueberry Bushel are some of my favorite go-to colors for boy cards. I love the bright and bold colors with the white sentiment on Basic Black.
This is one of Owen's favorite Bible versus and one of the very first ones he memorized in his early days of kids church.  He is going to have an amazing few days I cannot wait to hear all about his time at camp!

Lovely & Sweet Thoughts

We made it through Monday and are on to Tuesday, which means it's time for an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge!

Nature's Sweetness DSP was the star of the show for this sketch.  I pulled in two patterns and added a punched circle of Petal Pink for the main sketch.  The beautiful almond tree branch was also die cut from the DSP and colored in soft shades of Soft Sea Foam, Petal Pink and Pecan Pie.

A simple So Sorry sentiment and a few Brushed Brass Butterflies completed this simple, yet elegant sympathy card.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Stay Tuned...

Stay tuned for an important message...

It's time for an all new Monday Montage Blog Hop!

The Tune In bundle immediately made me think of the old television at my grandma's house and how me and my cousins would fight over who had to get up to change the channel.  Anyone else remember those fights?!?

I pulled out some retro colors of Old Olive, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Pretty Peacock for this card.  The Country Woods DSP was the perfect paper for the television, complete with some gold Textured Metallic rabbit ears!

I had to add little bit of gold to the project in memory of the mirrored wall in my parents old house...it had gold streaks throughout and I thought it was the most beautiful thing ever when I was little!  The Metallic Gems help to pull all of the little bits of gold together in this nostalgic card.

Let's hop on over to see what my friend Cheryl has to share with us!

Iconic Christmas In July

This weeks TGIF Challenges Theme Challenge is perfect for a Christmas in July creation!  I created some simple cards with the Online Exclusive Iconic Imagery Bundle, focusing on the wintery images.

I love the tree pattern from the Iconic Celebrations DSP.  I layered the DSP on a piece of Mossy Meadow, which was adhered to a Basic Beige card front.  Celebrate was stamped in Mossy Meadows on Basic Beige and die cut with the large label from the Iconic Dies.  The Season was heat embossed in white on Mossy Meadow and die cut with another fun label.  Some cute greenery, holly berries and sprigs were added for the perfect touch of traditional Christmas colors.

The Misty Moonlight snowflake pattern of DSP came in as a close second favorite!  I love the crisp, coolness of this paper!  I kept the same layout and simply swapped out colors.  The pretty little snowflakes were embossed in white on Mossy Meadow for the "coolest" added touch!

Are you ready to start making Christmas cards yet?  It feels a little early for me, but you can never have too many Christmas cards, right?!?

Keeping Tabs on Country Flowers

It's been a week of triple digit heat where I live, which means I spent a lot more tie-in my craft room where I was nice and cool!  The extra crafty time allowed me to play along with the latest TGIF Challenges Sketch.

Country Flowers and Keeping Tabs paired up to create this card.  If you follow along with me on a regular basis, you'll know I love my Basic White cardstock!  I ventured out and used Very Vanilla this time, which I love with the pop of color from the flowers!

I stamped the floral image to create the background.  Isn't it pretty!  The flowers in the Gray Granite bucket were colored in Berry Burst, Peach Pie, Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock.  The Adhesive Backed Pearl Trio and the Black & Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon were the perfect embellishments. The Keeping Tabs stamp set and coordinating die were meant for this sketch!

I can't wait to see all of the creations inspired by this week's sketch!

Citrus Hello - Around the World on Wednesday

Welcome to the July edition of Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop!

This month we are casing a team member and adding the fun twist of Scrabble to the mix.  I had the honor of casing Teri of Alaska Stamper, who also happens to be an amazing Artisan Design Team member!  It was so great to meet Teri in person last March in Houston.  I hope we get to see each other in person again someday!

We both started with the word Artisan with our scrabble tiles and built from there.  Our tiles are to tell you all a little about ourselves and our love of stamping.  How fun is this?

This is Teri's card that I cased. I love the black and white images with the blue background...it's simply beautiful!

For my card, I swapped out the apples for oranges.  I stamped the oranges in Tuxedo Black Memento and colored in the background with the Boho Blue Stampin' Blends.  I followed the same layout as Teri's beautiful card and stamped a simple little Hello for the sentiment.

Teri happens to be up next in the hop!  Let's jump on over and see what she has to share with us!

Hi Friend

It's time for a new Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge!  Aren't these colors fun?!?

I had some fun with the Friends For Life bundle with this color challenge!

After die-cutting the heart, I randomly stamped HI in Petunia Pop, Daffodil Delight and Summer Splash.  I added one Tuxedo Black Memento HI to coordinate with the die-cut "friend".

There was a little too much empty space on the other side of the heart.  I filled it with a cheerful flower created with the Translucent Florals Dies.  The center of the flower was filled with single Iridescent Faceted Gem. A sweet and simple card that is guaranteed to brighten a friends day!

Life is Sweet

It's time for another Monday Montage Blog Hop!  Hop along and see what everyone has to share with you!

I'm still catching up after being on vacation, so I turned to the June 2024 Life is Sweet Paper Pumpkin kit and it did not disappoint. These alternatives were so much fun to create!

With the exception of the Shy Shamrock Thanks, all products were from the kit.  I just used all of the products a bit differently than the kit samples. Which are you favorite?

Keep on hopping to see what my friend Charlet has created!

Legendary Birthday

Yesterday was all about the Red, White and Blue...this weeks TGIF Challenges Color Challenge is all about the Red, White and Black!

We just spent a week at the Hard Rock Hotel in beautiful Puerto Vallarta.   The hotel was filled with so much legendary rock star memorabilia, which was the inspiration behind today's card!

I forgot how much fun the Legendary Ride and coordinating dies are!  The color possibilities are endless when building the awesome motorcycle!

I stamped the flame with VersaMark and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  This is always such a fun added element to a card! The Metal Plate 3D embossing folder was a must-use for this card and the Smoky Slate Pearls were the perfect embellishment.

I hope you have fun with this color challenge and share what YOU were inspired to create!
