4th of July ~ Wreath of Roses

Happy Tuesday stampin' friends!  The girls over at SSINK are kicking off the 4th of July festivities a few days early.  Be sure to check out the rest of the INKspiring 4th of July creations from our awesome design team.

I saw a wreath a few weeks ago in a home décor store and fell in love with, but wasn't willing to pay $50 for it when I knew I could make it myself!   Knowing that we had a vacation coming up, I thought this would be the perfect project to take along with me.  I cut out a bazillion roses (not that many, but it sure felt like it!) and I spent a better part of our vacation travel time curling all of the roses.  (Those of you who know me know that I hate to travel and almost always bring some sort of crafting project with me to occupy my time.)  Once we got to our beach house, I got to work gluing all of the rosettes together and adding them to the wreath.  This went MUCH quicker than I thought it would!

The supplies are simple for this project...
Real Red, Night of Navy, Whisper White and Silver Glimmer Paper
Stars Framelits, Spiral Flower Original
Foam Wreath, Hot Glue

I am so happy with how this turned out and can't wait to hang it on my front door at home.  I may even make a couple of other mini projects with the left over rosettes I have...or I may just play on the beach and enjoy the {cooler} sunny weather!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Stamping!

  3. STUNNING! I don't blame you for not purchasing the wreath and deciding to make it yourself. It is much more rewarding!

  4. I saw this exact wreath at Pier One Imports, and decided not to get it. It was a $50 wreath that was supposed to be on sale! This is SO clever!

  6. How did you make the curled paper roses? Yours seem to have a heart shape to them.
