Sun, Sand and Sailing

Welcome back to another Monday Montage blog hop!  Be sure to make your way through all ten posts...you won't want to miss one single project from this awesome group!

I don't know about you, but I am done with the cold, dreary, gray sky days.  I am ready for some sun, sand and sailing!  Just a few more months and I'll be making that dream a reality on the beaches of Florida.  But for now, I'll have to make due with some warm weather beach creations to help me get through the rest of the winter months.

First up is a card that makes me feel like I've got my toes in the sand, watching the ocean waves and breathing the fresh salt water air...

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Smoky Slate, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White, Smoky Slate Core'dinations, Fresh Prints DSP
Ink ~ Smoky Slate, Coastal Cabana, Sahara Sand
Stamp Sets ~ Hardwood, By the Seashore, MDS Anchors Away
Other Supplies ~ Silhouette e-cutter, Silver Bakers Twine, Woodgrain Embossing Folder

I used my e-cutter to cut out the "Life is Better" sentiment...I LOVE that machine!

My next card makes me feel like I'm on a sailboat, feeling the wind in my hair and sun on my face...and would work for a great Valentine's card for a guy!
I cut a heart out on the front of the card and popped up a bright Real Red heart on the inside...

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Real Red, Pacific Point, High Tides DSP, Fresh Prints DSP
Ink ~ Smokey Slate, Versa Mark
Stamp Sets ~ Hardwood, Hello, Sailor
Other Supplies ~ Banners Framelits, Hearts Framelits, Starburst Framelits, Silver Bakers Twine, White Embossing Powder

I am counting down the days until we hop on a plane and head for warmer weather, sunshine and sand!  I hope you all start warming up soon too!

Next up in the hop is Cathy and I promise her post will WOW you once again.  Or if you prefer to hop backwards, you can head on back to the amazing creation by Amy ...she inspires me each and every week!  Either way, just make sure you make the whole loop and don't miss any of us.  And don't forget to leave us some love on our blogs...we love hearing from you!

Thanks for hopping along with us today!

  4. I love both these "beachy" style cards. Awesome. The butcher's cord against the smokey slate coordinations card stock is the perfect touch in the first card. It really does make you feel like sun and surf. TFS.

    1. Thank you! The knot on the card is a sailor knot...here is a link to a good tutorial: http://www.free-macrame-patterns.com/sailors-knot.html
