Watercolor Inspiration ~ HSS260

Happy Tuesday stamping friends!

It may have been the first day of Spring yesterday, but it sure didn't feel like it in my neck of the woods...our temps were still below freezing in the early morning hours.  BRRRR!

It's a good thing we have a pretty inspiration challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments to make it feel more like Spring!
I was drawn to wood plank and flowers in this photo and had to create another wood background!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Soft Sky, Smoky Slate, Watercolor
Ink ~ Smoky Slate, Soft Sky, Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Island Indigo, Old Olive
Stamp Sets ~ Watercolor Words, Jar of Love
Other Supplies ~ Woodgrain EF, Subtles Enamel Shapes, Whisper White Bakers Twine

Thank so much for stopping by today!

Watercolor Love

Happy Sunday stampers...I hope you all had a nice weekend and enjoyed your extra hour of sleep :-)
This weekend was one full of emotions for me.  Last Sunday, members of our fire family lost their beautiful babies at 24 weeks.  A tiny baby boy and a tiny baby girl were taken far too soon from their parents...a devastating loss for their family.
I attended the funeral over the weekend, which was heartbreaking and beautiful all at the same time.  It was a beautiful sunny day, which helped lift the spirts of so many.  It was a blessing to see the church filled with so many of the fire department family members.  It is always amazing to see that group pull together in times of need and offer up so much love and support.
There are never enough words to express your feelings in a time like this, but a few simple words go a long way.
My family delivered dinner to our dear friends tonight and I tucked this card in the bag with their meal.  A very simple card with one simple word...love.

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Watercolor Paper
Ink ~ Blushing Bride, Soft Sky, Smoky Slate
Stamp Set ~ Watercolor Words
Other Supplies ~ White Embossing Powder

My heart aches for the loss of these beautiful babies and it is so hard to understand why they were taken from this earth, but I pray that everyone can find comfort in knowing they are wrapped in God's arms.

Sending so much love to all of you tonight!

CASE of Love

Hello Wednesday!!

The girls over at SSINK are CASEing a fellow design team member today...love this!  It was so much fun going through all of our posts and seeing all of the awesomeness that our team creates!
I settled on this fun card that Melissa ~ The Stamp Doc made for our color challenge last month.  I love the simple, but wonky layout she use for her card!

Merryreindeer
I kept my card even more simple with fewer layers, but kept the general layout of the card.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, It's My Party DSP, Neutrals DSP, Blushing Bride
Ink ~ Blushing Bride, Smoky Slate
Stamp Sets ~ Watercolor Words, Balloon Celebration
Other Supplies ~ Sweetheart Punch

Sweet, simple little love note to send off for Valentines Day...perfect!

Be sure to head on over to SSINK to see who CASE'd who...you'll love what you see!

Watercolour Weekend

I got to sneak away for a little girls weekend with my momma, my BFF and her momma for some fun in Spokane.  We braved the crowds at The Farm Chicks Show, did a little shopping, ate some yummy Ethiopian food and walked along the water at Riverfront Park.  I ran along the river and through the park this morning and it was beautiful and totally inspiring!
So inspiring, that I had to come home and play with a little bit of watercoloring. The awesome team over at TGIF Challenges is playing with watercolor this week too, so I'm joining in with their fun!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Basic Black, Watercolor Paper
Ink ~ VersaMark, Wisteria Wonder, So Saffron, Pool Party
Stamp Set ~ Watercolor Words
Other Supplies ~ White Embossing Powder, Metallic Sequin Assortment

Pretty simple card, but the watercolors make it so pretty!

Time to head home...back to reality!

Have a happy Sunday and Happy Stamping!!
