Textured Birthday Blooms

It's Friday and you all know what that means...a new TGIF Challenges!  This week we have a gorgeous Inspiration Challenge for you!

I'm still playing with the Textured Florals stamp set with a sweet little birdie from Winterly Tree Tops stamp set.
I stamped the florals in shades of Moody Mauve, Petal Pink and Calypso Coral, with a little pop of Crushed Curry.  And I can't forget the Mossy Meadow greenery!

I colored the bird with Stampin' Blends in shades of Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie and just a touch of Peach Pie. The Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder added some beautiful texture.

What will you be inspired to create today? Share it with us!

Happy Stamping!

Textured Floral Birthday

Where do you start when you make a card? With a sketch?  With a color combo?  With an inspiration photo?  There are so many creative ways to get started on a project!

For this card, I started by pulling a variety of ink pads using the Color Theory wheel found on page 132 of the Annual Catalog.  If you haven't used this as a color combination resource yet, be sure to check it out!

I stamped the floral images in Moody Mauve, Berry Burst and Blackberry Bliss.  Mossy Meadow and Shaded Spruce were used for the leaves and I added a touch of Pretty Peacock and Basic Beige.

This pattern of Perennial Lavender DSP was the perfect background for all of the rich floral colors.

Inspiration for today's card came from the latest Global Design Project Case the Designer Challenge.  I cased the layout of Ann's beautiful card.

Where will you find your creative inspiration today?

Happy Stamping!
