Warm Hello

It's time for a fun new sketch over at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  There are so many creative possibilities with this sketch!

As I get closer to the end of my summer break, I find myself longing for a trip to the beach.  Sadly, it's going to have to wait a few months.  But thanks to the Circle Saying's stamp set, I can at least create the beach!

Lemon Lolly, Boho Blue and Basic White are quickly becoming one of my favorite color combos.  So clean and fresh!

I stamped the ocean waves in Memento on Basic White, then colored with Stampin' Blends.  I had a few Lemon Lolly sunburst circles left over from another project that happened to be perfect for layering on this card.

Boho Blue DSP on one side and embossed Lemon Lolly on the other side added some fun color and texture behind the ocean scene.  And don't forget the Boho Blue ribbon and embellishments!

Seaside Birthday Wishes

This weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge certainly has a summer feel to it! Sandy starfish, cool ice cream treats, a beautiful pitcher of a refreshing drink or grapes that are perfect for picking...so many fun and inspiring options!

I opted for the cute seashells from Circle Sayings and paired them up with {Sun}Rays of Light for a cheerful, summer-at-the-beach birthday card!  I colored the seashells in a variety of beach inspired colors that left me longing for some time at my favorite ocean town.

A distressed layer of Boho Blue embossed with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder gave the card a little ocean waves feel went under the Lemon Lolly sun rays. A Crumb Cake Card base ties the whole beach theme together...sun, water and sand!

A bit of Boho Blue Texture Ribbon and a few Boho Blue In Color dots finished the card off.  It's such a happy card!
