Offering Our Thanks and Gratitude ~ Control Freaks November Blog Hop

Welcome to the November Control Freaks Blog Hop!  This month we are full of thankfulness and gratitude and can't wait to share it all with you.  Whether you started here or arrived from the amazing Tami Hewlett's blog, be sure to hop your way all the way through!

The first card I am staring today was a special project for a dear friend at work.  She requested several Thank You cards for secretaries across our school district and I was more than happy to comply!

We are nearing the end of our beautiful fall season where I'm from, but a few leaves are still hanging on, providing a last bit of inspiration!  I started by stamping the Birch background stamp on a sheet of Basic White.  I die cut some Intricate Leaves Dies in shades of Cajun Craze, Mango Melody, Merry Merlot and Early Espresso.  A circle of Cork Specialty Paper was the perfect amount of texture to go along with these beautiful fall colors.
A simple Thanks sentiment from Artistically Inked heat embossed in white on Basic Black added a pop of boldness and a little bit of pulled-apart Crumb Cake Bakers Twine and a few Artistry Blooms sequins were all that were needed to finished this card off.

Next up is a wintery thank you using the Peaceful Cabin Bundle.  If you haven't seen the Peaceful Place DSP in person, you MUST add it to your collection before its too late.  This paper is filled with beautiful wintery images with a surprise of some silver foil mixed throughout.

The serene cabin and trees were stamped in Basic Gray, then die-cut with the coordinating Cabin dies.  Isn't that little fox the cutest?!?! These were layered together on top of a shimmery treelined piece of DSP to create a peaceful winter retreat. I need to find a place like this to visit soon!

Once again, I heat embossed the sentiment in white on Basic Gray and added just a bit of bling with the Subtle Shimmer Sequins. I just love the calming nature of this suite...it's gorgeous!

We are so thankful for all of you hopping along with us!  We love to share our
creations with you!

Next up on the hop is the wonderful Wendy Weixler!

Happy Stamping!

Happy Christmas Wishes ~ HSSSC#337

Hello friends!  Welcome to an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge!

I love the panels in the sketch and the options are endless for the circle and banner.    I used Whimsy & Wonder DSP for the panels.  Don't you just love these colors together?  A Wonderful Snowflake iridescent foil snowflake was a MUST to go along with this sketch.  A couple fussy cut ornaments from another sheet of DSP added just a bit more of shimmery joy!

The Christmas Cheer Dies were used in place of the banner for a Happy Christmas.  A couple of Linen Thread bows helped to hang the ornaments and a few Opal Rounds created just the right amount of sparkle.

After a horribly long day of flight delays on my return trip from Salt Lake City, I was so happy to spend some time in my craft room for some much needed stamp therapy.  Even though my trip home was a bit more eventful than I had hoped, it was well worth it to spend some time with some of my favorite stamping people!

I hope you'll join along in this weeks sketch challenge! We always love to see what you create!

Artistically Inked Birthday ~ #TGIFC342

Happy Friday stampers!

It's time for an all new TGIF Challenges Sketch Challenge!  I always love a good sketch to get me started on any of my projects!

I've been playing around with the Artistically Inked stamp set and thought it would be great for this weeks sketch!  I inked up the largest flower from the stamp set in Magenta Madness and the smaller in Coastal Cabana.  And what green goest best with bright, beautiful blooms...Granny Apple Green of course!  Since I forgot to get the dies when I purchased this stamp set, I happily fussy cut all of the flowers.

You all know that I love me some black and white strips, so I put this cute pattern of Cute Halloween DSP to good use!  A little peek-a-boo layer of Coastal Cabana gave a little extra pop of color.

The Happy Birthday sentiment was just right to go along with the sketch!  A bit of bakers twine pulled apart and a few Artistry Blooms sequins were just the right amount of embellishment for this cheerful birthday greeting!

I hope you'll join along in the fun this week over at TGIF Challenges!

OnStage@Home is happening this weekend, so I am hoping to be back next week with some fun new and inspiring ideas to share.  But for now, I am going to enjoy a weekend in Utah with some of my favorite stamping friends!!!

Happy Stamping!

In the Moment ~ Monday Montage

Welcome back to another Monday Montage!  As we get ready for OnStage@Home, I am missing all of these talent stampers so much!  It has been far too long since we've all be able to be together.  I hope that changes SOON!

Even though we don't all get to meet in person, we still get some fun OnStage@Home swag, including a beautiful new stamp set called In the Moment.
'
I love everything about this stamp set!  The images, the sentiments...they are all so perfect for these uncertain times we've been living through the past year and a half.

I kept the design of cards all pretty simple because I didn't want to take away from any of the stamped images. Some Calypso Coral, Balmy Blue and Pool Party were perfect for this ocean scene.

And some shades of Soft Succulent, Misty Moonlight and Fresh Freesia were just right for this cup of coffee (or tea) by the window.

And there's nothing more comfortable than a warm Smoky Slate blanket, snuggled up with your Cinnamon Cider pup.  A bit of Night of Navy and Granny Apple Green made things just a bit cozier.

OnStage@Home might be virtual, but I'll be meeting up with a few of my Monday Montage friends and I can not wait to see them!  And I'm just as excited to see everyone else, even if it's on a computer screen!

Keep on hopping to see what the rest of these talented ladies have created for you today!

Happy Stamping!

Wonderful Woods Friends

We survived the Monday after Halloween...whew!  We're on to Tuesday and an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge.

I am always inspired by anything with deer or elk.  Being the wife and mom of avid hunters, we have a house full of deer mounts and will soon have a big branch bull elk mount.  (Don't worry...I make my boys hang their trophies in their bedrooms or the shop!)

I brought out Welcoming Woods once again and paired it up with Nature's Beauty, an old favorite. I inked up the birch trees in Crumb Cake, then added some stamped -off leaves in Soft Succulent.

A die-cut circle in Soft Succulent stamped with the Birch background stamp was the perfect layer for the sweet little doe stamped in Soft Suede on Crumb Cake. The sweet Peaceful Moments sentiment was just right for this frosty fall scene.

A little bit of twine, some vellum and a Bark 3D embossed layer gave just the right amount of texture to a pretty simple card.

Be sure to join us over at Hand Stamped Sentiments for this weeks challenge.  We have a few new design team members that you are going to want to check out too!

Happy Stamping!
