Sentimental Thanks

Happy Tuesday!  It's time for a colorful new challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge.  A couple of these colors have retired, so I swapped Mango Melody for Daffodil Delight and Mint Macaron for Soft Sea Foam.

It's also case the designer over at Global Design Project, where they are casing the amazing Krista Frattin.  I used the layout of her card to create my card today.

I used Sentimental Park for a sweet and simple thank you card.  The flowers were colored in Petal Pink with just a touch of Daffodil Delight.  Some die-cut Soft Sea Foam greenery was tucked in and layered on top of a Balmy Blue Stylish Shapes circle.  A fussy cut thanks and a few little Petal Pink die-cut flowers, embellished with a few rhinestones, completed the card.

Sweet, simple and oh-so-cute!

What Would You Do...

...with a Navy Blue background?

Make a graduation card, of course!  This weeks TGIF Challenges was no challenge at all with graduation season in full swing!

I created a watercolor wash background with just a splash of gold Wink of Stella. (So thankful I still have that in my stash!) Some Distressed Gold Alphabet A La Mode letters were cut, which I layered a few times to help GRAD pop up just a bit more.

Congratulations and You Did It were stamped on water color paper and some Distressed Gold confetti brought the celebration in to full swing!

I have several more grad cards to make and I think this may be my go-to design for this year.  Stay tuned for a few more color variations!

Bird's Eye Thank You

The Monday Montage crew is back with another fabulous hop for you!

I'll admit...I totally slacked for Teacher Appreciate week this year.  I had good intentions of getting something together for my son's teacher, but it never happened.  Thankfully I can redeem myself with an end of the year thank you card and gift!

Bird's Eye View and Everyday Thanks are the BEST stamp sets ever for teacher cards!  I love the pencil from Everyday Thanks and the adorable bird with glasses from Bird's Eye View...so cute!  And you know but now that any stamp set that has images I can color with my Stampin' Blends is a must have!

I played along with this months Stampin' Through the Catalog CASE the designer, using the fun color combo and layout.  Did you notice the fun torn paper?  I am so happy to have White Center paper back!

How Does Your Garden Grow

Welcome to this months Control Freaks Blog Hop where we are featuring our favorite plants and flowers.  You may just be starting or you may be arriving from the charming blog of Cindy Elam...either way, be sure to hop all the way through to see what we have in store for you today!

Next to stamping, my other favorite hobby is my flower garden.  I have an entire corner of my yard dedicated to flowers and I look forward to working in in every spring and summer!

The new So Refreshing stamp set is so cute!  I always love a pitcher full of lemonade, but a pitcher full of flowers is just as good!  

I stamped the pitcher in Smoky Slate and added some stamped off Pool Party water.  The flowers were stamped right into the pitcher!  The Granny Apple Green stems and Calypso Coral blooms are just gorgeous!  I stamped one more set of flowers to lay across the cute Lost Lagoon table cloth...I love this die cut element!

I wanted a simple little sentiment to tie around the pitcher and the For You from Country Bouquet was just perfect!

Gone Fishing

Hooray for Friday and an all new TGIF Challenges Theme Challenge!  Today we are creating something fantastic for all the men in our lives.  Whether it's Father's Day, a birthday or just because, we have some fabulous projects to share!

The all new Let's Go Fishing Collection is perfect for all of the fisherman in your life. All of the lures, fish, sentiments and amazing Gone Fishing Dies are the best!

. 

I created a lake scene with the water die, tucking a bobber in between the ripples to entice the fish swimming below.  A simple sentiment and a little lure finished this card off. I love how simple it is...perfect for any dad who loves to fish!

Zesty and Refreshing Birthday

Welcome to the latest Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge!  This challenge is perfect as we ease our way into the summer months here in the US.  Blue skies, flowers and sweet summer drinks...I'm ready!

I was inspired by the lemonade and pops of red in the photos.  I pulled some additional inspiration from last months Crafty Carrot Sweet Citrus tutorials and cased one of Cindy's cards.

I stamped the lemons in Daffodil Delight on Daffodil Delight card stock then cut them out with the coordinating hybrid embossing folder.  A pop of Poppy Parade came from a punched cherry along with a die-cut Poppy Parade circle from the Brights DSP.  A few little Petal Pink flowers and a couple Granny Apple Green leaves pulled everything together.  

What will you be inspired to create with the latest challenge?  We can't wait to see!

Beauty of the Deep Birthday

Happy Friday and welcome to this months TGIF Challenges Sketch!  There is nothing I love more than a great sketch to help get the creative ideas flowing!

I used Beauty of the Deep for one of my class projects last week and had a few left over bits and pieces that worked perfectly for today's sketch.

I started out by creating an ocean-y background, blending Boho Blue on a piece of Basic White and stamping with a few Misty Moonlight bubbles before embossing with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder.  I tore some pieces of Boho Blue and Misty Moonlight, layering them for even more texture and water-like colors.

Next came all of the colorful bits of coral and seaweed to help complete the under the sea feel.  I can almost hear the ocean waves and feel the warm sunshine!

And anchor and simple Happy Birthday sentiment, along with a few 2023-2025 In Color dots help to complete the card.

Stamped With Love

It's time for an all new Hand Stamped Sentiment Sketch Challenge!

Do you know what else it's time for?!?  The 2023-2024 Annual Catalog!  With the new catalog comes so many amazing new stamp sets AND so many new and returning colors!

I am so happy to see Blueberry Bushel, Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist returning and even more happy to add these colors to my Stampin' Blends collection!  They helped to make a bright and cheerful card with the super cute Stamped With Love stamp set.  

Lots of coloring and just a bit of fussy cutting was all it took to play along with today's sketch.  I hope you'll join along in the fun too!
