Rootin' Tootin' Fun at the Fair

State Fairs are kicking off all over right now and we are getting in on the fun over at The Friday Mashup!  Our challenge this week is to get inspired by YOUR State Fair and mash things up by throwing in some crafty punches.

Our State Fair is held over Labor Day weekend and the rodeo is a big part of our fair!  It's always my favorite event to attend each and every year, so I decided to go with a rodeo card today.

Howdy Cowgirl ~ FM201

Yee-Haw!!!  It's finally Friday and it's time for an all new Friday Mashup Challenge!  We hope you all enjoyed our 200th challenge as much as we did.  It was awesome seeing all of the entries...so much talent out there!  Amy is keeping things rolling for us this week with a fun color challenge mashed up with a see through element (window, acetate, vellum).  We hope you'll join in the Mashup fun!

Some good friends, and part of our fire family, moved out to an old farm house last weekend with over 20 acres to play on.  Unfortunately, one of our little friends played a bit too hard and broke her arm, which resulted in surgery yesterday.  We wanted to send her some extra hugs and love, so we left this card and a cute little stuffed horse at the surgery center.  Her mom texted me when they got there and said it made her day :-)

Rootin' Tootin' Birthday

So Long Cowboy

Hi friends and Happy Friday!!!  I've been waiting all week for this day!!!  I just need to make it through today and then I get to enjoy 9 wonderful days off...just what this momma needs!

A friend and fellow co-worker lost her husband unexpectedly this week...so heartbreaking :-(  I never like making sympathy cards, but my hope is that they will bring a little smile to the face of the recipient.

Howdy Cowboy

Howdy Cowboy!  Our annual fair kicks off today and our town is filled with cowboys and cowgirls alike.  We are kind of mean parents and usually avoid the fair, which I know we won't be able to get away with for much longer, but we do always make it to the parade on Saturday.  But this year, we will be missing it all!!!  My hubby and boys are heading out for a few days at the lake with my mother-in-law and I am heading to....DISNEYLAND!!!  I've got a ton to get done today, in addition to a full day of work, so I can't go in to all the fun details, but be sure to check back, okay?!?!?

It's Masculine Monday over at SSInkspiration!
