High Tide or Low Tide ~ HSS Inspiration Challenge # 269

Happy Tuesday stampin' friends!  I hope everyone is surviving the heatwave that seems to be making it's way across the US!

My family is enjoying a break from the heat while we vacation at the Oregon Coast.  It's been a very nice 70 degrees here the past few days, while it's 100+ at home.  I told my husband I'm not going home!

Today's Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge is rather fitting for me this week!  While the water is not nearly as warm as I would like it to be, the sun and the same are just right for me!

I created my own little seascape with the High Tide stamp set and some simple sponging to create a pretty sunset over the ocean.

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White
Ink ~ Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay, Crumb Cake, Soft Sky, Pool Party, Peekaboo Peach, Powder Pink, Calypso Coral, Basic Black
Stamp Set ~ High Tide, Hardwood
Other Supplies ~ Burlap Ribbon, Seasonal Layers Thinlits

Being at the beach is my happy place!  I look forward to coming here every summer and considered it an extra win when we get to come more than once a year!

Be sure to check out the rest of the beautiful design team creations and join along in the fun!

Happy Stamping!

Battle of the Badges

 Happy Wednesday stampers!

It feels like it's been for-EVER since I've made anything, let alone post anything on my blog!  Between being out of town 2 weekends this month and baseball season starting up, my time has been super limited.  I'm doing my best to remedy that and get a little more creative time in my day.

I am not a huge fan of basketball, but it has been an exciting college basketball season in our neck of the woods.  Gonzaga is just a few hours away from where I live, so it's been fun watching them make their way to the Final Four.

Basketball won't end there for us though!  My husband will be playing in the Battle of the Badges Charity basketball game in April.  Our local Fire and Police Departments will play this year to raise money for our local schools. It's a great event and something the community looks forward to every year!  That is the inspiration behind my card today's SSINK March Madness post :-)
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Delightful Dijon, Dapper Denim, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Smoky Slate, Basic Black
Ink ~ VersaMark, Basic Black, Tip Top Taupe
Stamp Sets ~ Hardwood, My Hero, Badges & Banners
Other Supplies ~ Layering Circles Framelits, Circle Punches, Best Badge, Silver Embossing Powder

Good luck to all of the Final Four teams this week!!!  They will be exciting games, that's for sure!

Country Livin' at the County Fair ~ Monday Montage

Welcome back to Monday Montage!!!  We are back with another fabulous hop!  Make sure you click on the links below so you don't miss any of the creations...you are sure to love them all!

Our county fair was going on this past week and our family took in part of the action this weekend, which inspired today's card.  We attended the parade Saturday morning and braved the craziness of the fair Saturday evening.  We had plans to attend the rodeo, but the boys all had so much fun visiting all of the animals and hanging out with friends, so we just enjoyed the time together.  Since moving to our new house and adding a few new critters to our lives, all three boys were very interested in learning all they could about many of the farm animals.  It was pretty awesome to hear them ask so many great questions!
 Supplies Used:
Paper ~Tip Top Taupe, Whisper White
Ink ~ Basic Black, Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Tip Top Taupe, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron
Stamp Set ~ Country Livin' , Hardwood
Other Supplies ~ Burlap Ribbon

Our funny farm started out with a goat on lease, which we have all quickly fallen in love with.  It will be a sad day when Trigger has to move to his new home with his family, but there have already been numerous conversations of getting some baby goats in the spring and possibly a cow.  Never in my life did I picture us living the farm life, but I love it!  Especially all of our chickens.  We currently have 6 baby chicks and 6 egg laying hens.  I love seeing the boys take care of them, especially when they do it all on their own without being asked!

Next stop on the hop is Cathy...I can't wait to see what she has for us this week! Or if you want to hop backwards, you can hop on back to the amazing Amy...I just love her style!

Thanks for hopping along with us today!

Happy Stamping!

This week we are challenging you to use colors of Dijon, Olive and Razzleberry and mash things up by creating a project inspired by summer flowers.

You know what else makes me happy?  Fun Valentine Cards, Tags, Bags and Boxes!  And that's just what we are sharing today over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration.

Howdy Cowboy

Howdy Cowboy!  Our annual fair kicks off today and our town is filled with cowboys and cowgirls alike.  We are kind of mean parents and usually avoid the fair, which I know we won't be able to get away with for much longer, but we do always make it to the parade on Saturday.  But this year, we will be missing it all!!!  My hubby and boys are heading out for a few days at the lake with my mother-in-law and I am heading to....DISNEYLAND!!!  I've got a ton to get done today, in addition to a full day of work, so I can't go in to all the fun details, but be sure to check back, okay?!?!?
Yesterday I shared my Howdy Cowgirl card with you and today I share with you my Howdy Cowboy...

A Weinhard Cafe Date

Happy Thursday friends!  One day closer to the weekend....woohoo!!!  It's supposed to rain all weekend, but I'm ok with that!  We are gearing up to paint the interior of our house and put in new carpet and flooring so I am itching to do some spring cleaning.  Call me crazy, but it just feels good to get things really clean and organized!  Not sure where I was headed with that...it has nothing to do with today's card.  Must need more coffee!
Any way...a good friend of my mom's recently took over ownership of a fabulous café in Dayton WA and she asked me to make her a card for this fun occasion.  I pulled up some pictures of the café for some inspiration, not really sure what direction I wanted to go in with the card.  Well, I was totally inspired by the outside of the café itself and got to work...
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Garden Green, Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum, Wisteria Wonder, Baked Brown Sugar, Whisper White, Velum
Ink ~ Crushed Curry, Smoky Slate, Perfect Plum, Elegant Egg Plant, Garden Green
Stamp Sets ~ Petite Petals, Hardwood
Other Supplies ~ Word Window Punch, Petite Petals Punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Little Leaves Sizzlits

I sketched out the wine bottle and wine glass on velum (don't judge my drawing skills!) and colored them with my blender pens.

I normally don't make cards like this, but I have to say, I had a lot of fun creating it!

Happy Stamping!

Welcome back to another Monday Montage blog hop!  Be sure to make your way through all ten posts...you won't want to miss one single project from this awesome group!

I don't know about you, but I am done with the cold, dreary, gray sky days.  I am ready for some sun, sand and sailing!  Just a few more months and I'll be making that dream a reality on the beaches of Florida.  But for now, I'll have to make due with some warm weather beach creations to help me get through the rest of the winter months.

First up is a card that makes me feel like I've got my toes in the sand, watching the ocean waves and breathing the fresh salt water air...

Ink ~ Smoky Slate, Coastal Cabana, Sahara Sand

I cut a heart out on the front of the card and popped up a bright Real Red heart on the inside...

Love Ya Foxy

Happy Wednesday friends!  I finally made it down to my craft room yesterday and it was soooo nice to play with some paper, ink and stamps...and I felt so much better after.  Stamping really is my therapy!
I started this card the morning of my surgery and just didn't have enough time to get it done before the challenges expired, but I still wanted to share it.

I just realized I used Tangerine Tango card stock and Pumpkin Pie ink for the fox...oops!  Oh well, it still works, right?

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Baked Brown Sugar, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White, Blushing Bride, Pool Party Core'dinations, Watercolor Wonder DSP, Watercolor Paper
Ink ~ Jet Black StazOn, Pumpkin Pie, Gumball Green, Blushing Bride, Versa Mark
Stamp Sets ~ Life in the Forest, Just Sayin', Hardwood
Other Supplies ~ Word Bubbles Framelits, Starburst Framelits, Arrows Textured Embossing Folder, Decorative Dots Embossing Folder(SAB)

I was totally inspired by my good friend Katie over at Sweet n Spiffy and just had to CASE her Colour Me....Playful! card from last week....so cute!!!  The challenge colors are perfect for this little critter stamp set :-)  And last weeks Freshly Made Sketches challenge was the perfect sketch for a fun little forest scene.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I'm hoping to have more posts up this week and next...going to stamp my little heart out while I'm forced to take time off from work ;-)

Happy Stamping!
