Pink Christmas

Fall has just begun, but we are already thinking of a winter wonderland at Hand Stamped Sentiments this week.  This frosty inspiration challenge has me dreaming of cozy winter days and freshly fallen snow!

Inspired by the pretty pink snowflakes and frolicking deer, I pulled out Reindeer Fun again for another wintery creation.

I cut the two deer from the Reindeer Days DSP and placed them in the Grove {Dies}. I absolutely love the Bubble Bath background embossed with Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder.  Isn't it pretty?

The sentiment was stamped in Flirty Flamingo with some Soft Sea Foam holly. Such a quick and easy card!

Sunshine and Smiles

Not only is it a Merry Monday, but it's also a Monday Montgage Monday!  That means two posts in one day...woohoo!!!

I switched gears and took a little pause on fall and holiday crafting to ink up the adorable Enjoying Little Things stamp set. 

I started by creating this fun Garden Green checkered background.  It totally reminds me of green checkered Vans...I love it!  

Next I punched a circle using the 2-3/8" Circle Punch and stamped the sumburst image at the top and bottom in Crushed Curry.  The sentiments were stamped in Fresh Freesia and a few cute flowers were stamped in Flirty Flamingo and Pool Party with Old Olive leaves.  These images were all fussy cut to place in and around the punch circle.

A few Dots for Days embellishments finished things off.  This cute card is ready to send out to brighten someone's day!

Reindeer Fun Presents

Here we are, back at Monday again.  Let's make it a Merry Monday with another cheerful Christmas card!

This weeks Freshly Made Sketches sketch immediately had me reaching for the Reindeer Fun dies.  The gifts were perfect to pair up with this sketch, created by my long-time stamping friend, Amy!  Isn't it fun?!?

I used Melon Mambo, Lemon Lime Twist and Pool Party for the gifts and wreath.  I love bright, non traditional colors for Christmas!

The Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder added just the right amount of festive texture to the card!  No embellishments needed!

Abstract Birthday Wishes

Friday's always mean an all new TGIF Challenges!  This week we have an inspirational abstract image to help get your creativity flowing!  I can't wait to see what everyone is inspired to create!

I love the textured black background with white splatters, so I stared there!  I embossed a piece of Basic Black with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder and splattered it with Whisper White ink.

Pulling inspiration from the pinks and golds within the inspiration photo, I die-cut some leafy images using the Textured Floral Dies from Basic White, Petunia Pop and Gold Mercury Vellum.

I nested a few strands of Petunia Pop Boarded Ribbon with just a hint of the Gold Twisted Thread behind the die-cut leaves.

A simple Happy Birthday sentiment from Simply Said stamped in Petunia Pop on Basic White really pops against the Basic Black background.  A few gold Sparkle Gems hidden amongst the leaves add just a bit more shimmer and shine.

Otterly Amazing

I always love a good sketch to play along with and this week's Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge is a fun one!

I've got one more card to share from the Otterly Amazing bundle.  This time I focused on the stamped images and my coloring heart is happy!

I stamped the otters in Memento and colored them with Crumb Cake and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends, along with Mossy Meadow and Old Olive.

I love this Balmy Blue water pattern of Otterly Adorable DSP is so calming.  A few Balmy Blue bubbles were stamped on the DSP.  The die cut log and So Swirly Embossing folder added just the right amount of texture.

Otterly Adorable Cuteness

It's a Monday Montage week, so that means you get two posts today!

Merry Monday Thank You

Happy Monday friends!  I hope you all had a restful and relaxing weekend that included a little creative time.  I was able to spend quite a bit of time in my craft room this weekend, which made my creative heart very happy!

This Merry Monday brings you a wintery Thank You card, inspired by the amazing Mikaela Titheridge.  She created a beautiful card with the Winterly Tree Tops stamp set, using Basic Beige rather than Basic White for the birds.  I love how the Basic Beige softens the stamped image!

I wanted to go with a softer shade for the berries, but after coloring them in Calypso Coral, the berries looked like something totally different and maybe a bit inappropriate...so Real Red it was!

I added an extra layer of greenery behind the birds to make it a bit more festive.  The pop of red behind the birch pattern Nests of Winter DSP, along with the sentiment embossed on red give this card the warm, wintery feeling.

 

Just a hint of texture was added using the Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder.  I think I'll be making a lot of these to send out as Christmas Thank You cards this year!

Merry, Merry Reindeer Christmas

Guess what day it is?  Friday and you all know what that means...an all new TGIF Challenges.  How fun is this sketch?!?

I feel like I should have titled this Grinch Deer...there's a whole lot go green, but I'm kind of loving it!  Granny Apple Green card base with a Forever Plaid 3D embossed layer because every Christmas card needs a little plaid!

I used the Perennial Postage dies to follow along with the sketch, filling in each postage stamp square with some extra cute Reindeer Fun die cuts.  Of course the adorable deer had to be front and center with the fun jingle bell pattern of Reindeer Days DSP peeking from behind.

The wreath and gift accompanied the deer with sweet simplicity.  I stamped an extra Merry to make this a Merry, Merry Christmas card.

I have fully embraced fall, even in my creating.  My color pallet has switched to warmer colors that feel like fall.  The adorable new Sweet Days of Autumn Designer Series Paper is perfect for fall creations.  Take a look!

I fussy cut these cute little critters and arranged them amongst a few other patterns of paper in the pack, with just a peek of Crush Curry.  A Crumb Cake card base with an extra layer of Birch Wood 3D texture gives the full fall effect!

These sweet little critters needed a sweet little sentiment.  Hello Friend from Country Birdhouse was just right!

Merry Reindeer Fun

 Monday has, once again, snuck up on us way too fast! Why must the weekends go by so quickly?!?  At least this weekend was another creative weekend for me. I had my monthly card class on Friday and celebrated World Card Making Day with a friend on Saturday...so much fun!  And I even managed to get in some stamping on Sunday, just in time for another Merry Monday post!

The Reindeer Days Suite Collection is my favorite in the holiday mini catalog.  I love the adorable stamped images and the DSP is so festive and fun!

I played along with the latest Freshly Made Sketches challenge as a starting point for the card.  You can never go wrong starting with a grea656t sketch!

How cute is this sweet buck and little baby deer?!? I love this pine tree pattern of Reindeer Days DSP...the greens are so good together!  I used the Painted Trees embossing folder to add a little texture in the background and love how it turned out.  And let's talk about the Real Red & White Baker's Twine...do you all love it as much as I do?  I'm really hoping the bring back more twine like this in other colors!

Brighten Your Day

Happy October friends!  This weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge feels like fall.  And you can almost taste it...Peach Pie, Pumpkin Pie and Pecan Pie are all so yummy!

I used the Changing Leaves bundle with these gorgeous fall colors and created layers and layers of leaves.  There is just a hint of gold mixed in from the Season of Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Isn't it pretty?

The Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing folder is probably one of my all time favorites. The texture and detail in this folder is just beautiful!

I hope these colors inspire you to create something beautiful today!
