Let's Get Seasonal

It's time to get seasonal with some of my Artisan friends!  With the {almost} release of new seasonal/holiday products, we are sharing some of our favorites with you today!  Follow along with us over on Instagram and see all of the seasonal creations we have to share!

Now that the kiddos are back in school and I am back to work, I'm slowly starting to embrace the fact that summer is almost over and fall is coming next.   The beautiful Amber Autumn bundle is brining all the fall vibes.

Lost Lagoon, Timid Tiger, Peach Pie, Mossy Meadow and Granny Apple Green are some of my favorite fall colors. They were perfect for these festive pumpkins and gourds! And can we talk about this die cut background?!?  It is stunning!
I changed things up just a bit for the next card, switching out the pumpkins for acorns and added a little Autumn Toile DSP.  And the Irregular Weave ribbon...it's so good!  I see a lot of this in my creative future!

Brighten Your Day

Happy October friends!  This weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge feels like fall.  And you can almost taste it...Peach Pie, Pumpkin Pie and Pecan Pie are all so yummy!

I used the Changing Leaves bundle with these gorgeous fall colors and created layers and layers of leaves.  There is just a hint of gold mixed in from the Season of Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Isn't it pretty?
The Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing folder is probably one of my all time favorites. The texture and detail in this folder is just beautiful!

I hope these colors inspire you to create something beautiful today!

Hello Fall

The first day of fall is almost here and we are ready for it over at Hand Stamped Sentiments!

I was inspired by the fall leaves and all of the beautiful colors in the inspiration photo. I ended up with the color combo of Old Olive, Calypso Coral, Lost Lagoon and Crumb Cake...I'm loving these colors together!

This pattern of Country Woods DSP and the Timber 3D embossing folder adds some fun texture to go along with the Changing Leaves. Do you spy the little bits of Changing Leaves embossed layer in the background as well?  This card is loaded with texture!

I hope you'll join along in the fun and share what you are inspired to create!

Colorful Caring Leaves

I'm back today with another fall inspired card to play along with the latest Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge.

I added a little brightness with my favorite SU color, Coastal Cabana. I stamped the Sketched Plaid background, tone on tone, and distressed the edges a little.  The Caring Leaves are stamped in Crushed Curry, Boho Blue and Coastal Cabana.  Each leaf was fussy cut and popped up to add a little dimension.  The cute little sentiment comes from the More Than Autumn stamp set.

Be sure to join in the fun and play along with us at Hand Stamped Sentiments this week!

Leaves are Changing

It's feeling like fall with this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge!

The beautiful Changing Leaves bundle seemed like the perfect fit for these gorgeous colors.  The hybrid embossing folder is absolutely amazing...can you see all of the leaf details?

I added lots of layers, just like falling leaves.  The die-cut leaves and sprigs were perfect to tuck in and around the die-cut circles.

A sweet little bow tucked behind the sentiment and a few Purple Fine Shimmer Gems were the perfect embellishments, don't you think?

I hope you will join along in the fun and share your colorful creation with us!

Falling of Leaves

Happy Friday friends!  This week's Layered Leaves TGIF Challenges Theme Challenge is perfect for the current season in the US.  Our leaves are all changing, and thanks to our first freeze, they are quickly falling as well!

Inspired by the colors of the theme image as well, I stamped the sprigs, twigs and berries from Ringed With Nature in Lost Lagoon, Pebbled Path, Pecan Pie and Early Espresso.  These colors are so warm and calming!  After stamping all of the images, I embossed the paper with the Timeworn 3D Embossing Folder and distressed the edges a bit.

Some swirly, twirly Linen Thread was tucked behind the sentiment panel, along with some more leaves and branch die cuts from the Tree Rings Hybrid.  A few Pebbled Path In-Color Dots were the finishing touch.

Is it fall where you live as well or are you jumping in to spring?  I'm already dreaming of summer as the temperatures begin to drop here.  I am not a fan of the cold fall and winter months!

Wishing you all a fabulous weekend full of some creative time in your favorite crafting space!

Hello Friday Harvest

Happy Friday stampers!  I hope you have all had a fantastic week and have a restful and amazing weekend ahead!

It's supposed to rain a better part of the weekend here, so that gives me a perfect excuse to spend a little extra time in my craft room doing what I love most!

I'm getting a head start this morning with the beautiful Hello Harvest stamp set.  Pool Party pumpkins have been my favorite this season and inspired today's card.  I love the soft Pool Party pumpkin with the warm Cajun Craze sunflowers...so cozy.

A little metallic touch was added with the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper and a few bronze Brushed Metallic Dots.  I'm kind of loving the mixed metallic colors!
This sweet pattern of Rustic Harvest DSP was just right for this harvest hello, don't you think?!?

Soft Seedlings Gratefulness

Happy Tuesday and welcome to another beautiful Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge.  Our fall weather is finally starting to arrive...the mornings are crisp and cool, followed by warm and sunny afternoons.  I'm soaking up as much of the sunshine and beautiful fall colors as I can before the gloomy winter weather shows up.

Boss's Day was this past Sunday and this inspiration challenge was perfect for a fall-friendly card for the best boss ever!  I started out by stamping the large leaf from Soft Seedlings in Crumb Cake on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock, then decided I wanted a bit more color.  Inspired by so many projects I've seen with torn paper lately, I ripped the piece of Very Vanilla in half diagnonally and matched it up with another torn piece of Rustic Harvest DSP.  Tearing paper is such an easy way to add some texture to any project!

I inked up the leaf image in shades of Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry, brushing a little Early Espresso around the edges.  Each leaf was fussy cut and layered in a true fallen leaf pattern.  The sentiment was heat embossed in white on Early Espresso and fussy cut...my favorite thing to do!  Some bits of gold were added with a few threads of gold Simply Elegant Trim and some Seasonal Sequins.

I hope you'll join along and share your wonder-FALL creations with us over at Hand Stamped Sentiments.

Ringed with Thoughtfulness

It's time for an all new sketch challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments!  I hope you'll all join along in the fun!

I was super short on time, so I was grateful for a clean and simple sketch.
I immediately thought of the tree ring from Ringed with Nature stamp set when I saw this sketch.  I stamped a few of the flowers in some festive fall shades of Merry Merlot, So Saffron, Old Olive and Cajun Craze, fussy cutting each flower.

The So Saffron Gingham Cottage DSP seemed like a fitting background.  I love this DSP and have been using it on nearly every card I make right now! I also used Very Vanilla to stamp on rather than Basic White.  Very Vanilla always has a bit more of a fall feel to me...how about you?

A few Amber Gems from the Leave Label & Amber Gem Pack and a bit of Linen Thread were the final fall touches to this simple Thinking of You greeting.

Wishing you all a terrific Tuesday!

Happy Stamping!

Thankful Rustic Harvest

Welcome to another fabulous Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge!

I am home after a blissful week on the beaches and poolside in Cancun and back in my craft room.  It's always a little tricky to get back in the swing of things after being away on vacation, right?!?  Today's sketch challenge was just what I needed to get the creative juices flowing again.

I am in my final week of summer break...which is always bitter sweet!  In my mind, once I go back to work, summer is over and it's time for fall. The weather always says otherwise, but that isn't stopping me from some fall creations.

I absolutely love the warm fall colors in the Rustic Harvest DSP. And the black and white patterns on the flip side make it even better!
I started with the black and white diagonal stripes, adding strips of Crushed Curry DSP.  Next, I cut a piece of the gorgeous floral print of DSP, fussy cutting around the flowers for a little added touch.

I kept things simple with an Amazing Thanks die-cut thanks for the sentiment.  I tucked in a few of the white Seasonal Sequins for a subtle touch of shimmer.  A tiny black and white butterfly cut from the DSP was the final touch.

We are far from fall with our 100+ degree temps, but fall will be here soon.  I'll be ready with some fall-friendly cards!

Be sure to join along in the fun over at Hand Stamped Sentiments!

Pretty Pumpkin Friends ~ #HSSSC374

Hi friends and welcome to another fabulous Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge!
Hands Stamped Sentiments #374

I always love a good sketch to play along with and this is one that I will be using again for sure!  This is a great way to use some different colors and/or patterns of DSP!
I am in full on FALL mode and still loving the Pretty Pumpkins Bundle.  I pulled out the Beauty of the Earth DSP and brought in colors from the one of the beautiful patterns.
I cut a strip of DSP and added two smaller strips of Merry Merlot.  Since the DSP has a white background, I decided on Basic White and Cinnamon Cider for the two layers of the card front.  I always love all of the textures of fall, so bringing in the Bark 3D and Painted Texture 3D embossing folders for the perfect amount of texture.
I stamped the beautiful leafy pumpkin in Early Espresso on Very Vanilla and tucked some Bumblebee, Cinnamon Cider and Early Espresso leaves and twigs behind it.
The sentiment was stamped in Merry Merlot on Crumb Cake, the fussy cut...of course!  A few golden Brushed Metallic Dots gave just the right amount of shimmery  shine.

I hope you'll join us and play along with this weeks sketch!  I can't wait to see all of your amazing creations!

Happy Stamping!

Words Are Never Enough ~ HSSCC#348

It's Tuesday...and we all know what that means.  It's time for an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge.  We have a beautiful color challenge for you to play along with this week and we can't wait to see what you create!

Much of the Pacific Northwest has been on fire for the past several weeks and my area has been blanketed in a smoky haze since last Friday.  Things are clearing up a little bit, but the bad air quality has kept us inside and the smoggy skies have made for color temps, making it feel like fall.

Today's card was inspired by the fall-like weather and created as a huge thank you to all the fire fighters who have been out for weeks fighting all of these fires.  Words will never be enough to thank they for all that they have done and are continuing to do.

Rooted in Nature is one of my very favorite stamp sets.  I love all of the beautiful leaves and the textures in the coordinating Nature's Roots dies.

I stamped the leaves in Cinnamon Cider, Soft Suede and Mint Macaron and added a few die cut leaves on top of the fussy cut wood round.  I added a thin strip of Mint Macaron card stock and some of the beautiful Copper Metallic Ribbon from the Gilded Autumn Suite.  My sentiments were stamped on Mint Macaron and Cinnamon Cider in Cinnamon Cider.  This is quickly becoming one of my favorite new In Colors!

As I said earlier, there will never be enough words to thank all of the fire fighters for all that they are doing.  My husband is finally getting to come home today after being out for 14 days.  He has worked long, hard and exhausting days and has seen devastation that he described as "things you only see in movies".  These men and women have a passion for fighting fire, but these wild fires take things to a whole new level.  I am grateful my hubby only has to work one shift back at the station before getting to have 4 full days off.  It will be a much needed and deserving break!

I hope you all have a fantastic Tuesday!  Be sure to join along in the fun with our challenge!

Happy Stamping!

Rooted Strength ~ HSSSC

Happy Tuesday stampers and welcome to an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments.  This week I had the honor of creating the sketch challenge for everyone to play along with.  I don't know about you, but I always love having a sketch to help get me started with my creations.
I have been working on a lot of cards with words of encouragement lately.  I work for our local school district and there is not one staff member who has not worked so extremely hard over the past few months to get every thing ready for the first day of school next week.  The card I am sharing today will be given to the staff at my youngest sons school as we go to pick up his virtual school supplies.
Rooted in Nature is one of my favorite stamp sets and I absolutely LOVE this sentiment.  Be Strong, Be Happy, Be You...this is so true for every single staff member this year.
I stamped the leaves in Shaded Spruce, Just Jade and Pretty Peacock. I used my Shaded Spruce and Soft Suede Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the tree.  I tend to use my Stampin' Blends more often, but I still love to use my Stampin' Write Markers on my stamps.  (One of my older boys was so amazed by this technique...it made me giggle!)

I added a small watercolor Stitched Shape square with a few leaves stamped, which I topped off with the fussy cut sentiment.  I added a few strips of Pretty Peacock and Just Jade behind the square to complete the sketch.  I just love this color combo!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Shaded Spruce, Just Jade, Pretty Peacock, Whisper White, Watercolor
Ink ~ Shaded Spruce, Just Jade, Pretty Peacock
Stamp Set ~ Rooted in Nature
Other Supplies ~ Natures Roots Dies, Stitched Shapes Dies

I hope your week is off to a great week so far! Be sure to join us and play along with our sketch this week. We always love to see what you create!

Beautiful Autumn ~ #HSSIC 346

Happy Tuesday stampers! The creative design team over at Hand Stamped Sentiments is back this week with a beautiful fall Inspiration Challenge!  What will you be inspired to create?

It's hard to imagine fall when we are in the middle of a triple digit heat-wave, but I know that is right around the corner!  Summer is my favorite season, but fall is my next favorite, especially when it comes to seasonal crafting!  I was immediately drawn to the Gilded Autumn suite in the mini catalog.  I love all of the warm fall colors in the Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP and the Beautiful Autumn stamp set and coordinating Autumn Punch pack are great!n And have you seen the Brushed Metallic cardstock?!?  It is BEAUTIFUL!

I started out with a Very Vanilla card base, then added a layer of the cute acorn and leaves pattern of DSP.  Next came a layer of Gold Brushed Metallic cardstock, which I embossed with the Tin Tile Embossing folder.  I stamped a simple Thank You sentiment in Early Espresso on Very Vanilla, adding a small strip of Mint Macaron/Gold DSP underneath.  The sentiment was placed on top of the Mint Macaron Basket Weave Ribbon, with an added copper acorn.  These little embellishments are the best!  Using the adorable Autumn Punch Pack, I punched out an acorn and a few leaves from the DSP.

I had some help with the layout of this card, thanks to the lates Global Design Project Sketch Challenge.  This is such a fun sketch that can be used with so many stamp sets!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you will play along with our Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge this week!  Add in a little more fun and join in the Global Design Project Sketch Challenge too!

Happy Stamping!

#TGIFC240 Inspiration Challenge

Hello stampers!  I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

How many of you were out in the wee hours of the morning waiting in lines for Black Friday sales?!?  Did you find any great deals?!  Once you are back home and have some time to recover from the shopping craziness, how about joining us over at TGIF Challenges for this months Inspiration Challenge!  Some of us may already have snow, while others are still enjoying the beauty of the autumn leaves.  We hope those beautiful colors of nature help inspire you to create today!
We have already had a few snow flurries, but some of the beautiful fall leaves are still hanging on.  We are blessed to live in a beautiful area, tucked right up against the foothills of the Blue Mountains.  This card was inspired by my view right out of my very own craft room window!
Just last weekend as I was working on a project in my office, I looked up just a two deer jumped over our pasture fence into our backyard. My youngest and I ran outside to see where they went and were quickly surprised to see them running back towards us with our dog right on it's heels!  You never know what kind of excitement you will have when you visit our house.
Snow Front is one of my absolute favorite stamp sets in the Holiday Catalog.  I love that you can create so many different scenes for ANY season!  The images are so soft and calming.  It's almost as if you are right there in the beautiful scenery that you have created!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Early Espresso, Gray Granite, Whisper White
Ink ~ Gray Granite, Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Soft Suede, Versa Mark
Stamp Sets ~ Snow Front, Itty Bitty Greetings
Other Supplies ~ Woodland Embossing Folder, White Embossing Powder, Linen Thread

I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!  I can't wait to get home and decorate for Christmas!

Have you seen the Come To Gather DSP yet?!?!  It is AMAZING!  All of the colors and patterns are so good!  I love this polka dot pattern the best of all!  With a couple of colorful strips of other patterns and a splash of color from the leaves and pumpkin, it gives you the feeing of a warm and cozy fall day.
And the Gathered Leaves dies...so awesome!  Not only do they cut out the perfect pumpkin, they cut AND emboss some beautiful fall leaves!  Be prepared to see several creations with this suite!

#tgifc184 Color Challenge

Hello happy stampers...we made it to Friday!!!  This is always a good thing.  But do you know what's even better than this Friday?!?!  Next Friday!!!  Why, you ask?  Because next Friday I will be meeting up with all of the amazing TGIF Design Team members who are attending OnStage in Orlando.  I'm so EXCITED to see them!

It's a good thing I have a lot to do to get myself ready to head to {hopefully}sunny Orlando.  But before I get back to my OnStage crafting, I have this weeks TGIF Color Challenge to share with you.
Several trees in my backyard are dropping leaves in beautiful shades of Cajun Craze and Merry Merlot, which was the inspiration behind this card, along with some creative inspiration from the amazing Krista Frattin at Stampin' Dolce.  Her beautiful card reminded me that I haven't used Sheltering Tree in so long.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Merry Merlot, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Nature's Poem DSP
Ink ~ Crumb Cake, Merry Merlot, Cajun Craze
Stamp Set ~ Sheltering Tree
Other Supplies ~ Copper Metallic Thread, Metallic Sequins, Leaves Trinkets

With all of the wind and rain we have had, the few leaves that are left on our trees will soon be gone.  We've been very lucky with the warm sunny fall we've had and we really need the rain...but that doesn't mean I have to like it ;-)

I hope everyone has a great weekend!  I'll be crafting away trying to wrap up all of my creating before I take off Tuesday afternoon.  Wish me luck!

Happy Stamping!
