Freshly Made Flowers

There’s something so satisfying about a clean sketch and a handful of favorite supplies—and this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge was the perfect excuse to pull out a fun mix of texture, color, and a little garden charm!

For my card, I leaned into a fresh, cheerful theme using the Help Me Grow bundle paired with the lovely patterns from the Brushed With Beauty Designer Series Paper. The sketch’s split background immediately caught my eye, so I created contrast by combining a deeply textured panel in Secret Sea with a soft, striped pattern in Crumb Cake tones. That mix of bold and neutral really sets the stage foe the focal elements.

The star of the card is this sweet little potted plant, brought to life with layers of Granny Apple Green leaves and bright Strawberry Slush flowers. I love how the vivid colors pop against the darker embossed background—it really gives the arrangement dimension and energy. The pot itself, stamped and die cut in Crumb Cake, adds a warm, earthy touch, and a bit of twine tied around it brings in just the right amount of rustic detail.

To follow the sketch, I tucked in a few playful extras—a garden trowel with a floral accent and a simple speech bubble with a friendly “hello.” These little details help balance the design while keeping the overall feel light and fun. The “Happy Birthday” sentiment grounds the card and makes it perfect for celebrating someone special.

This card came together so naturally thanks to the sketch—it’s always amazing how a good layout can spark creativity! If you’re looking for inspiration, I highly recommend playing along with Freshly Made Sketches this week. It’s a great way to try new combinations and stretch your supplies in creative ways.

Bistro Burger for a Great Guy

Welcome to the latest Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge.  This is a challenge that feels like it's for the guys!

There are lots of great new products that would work perfectly for this Inspiration Challenge, but sadly, they have not found their way to my craft room yet.

Rest assured, I have lots of other great products in my stash that worked for this challenge.  I created a masculine-themed card that’s great for birthdays, Father’s Day, or just celebrating one of the “great guys” in your life. The star of the show is the Bistro Burger bundle, which brings all the delicious details to life. From the juicy burger layered with toppings to the perfectly seasoned fries and crisp pickles, these stamped and colored images add so much personality and charm.

To set the scene, I used the Cute as a Bug Designer Series Paper as a playful tablecloth background. The Poppy Parade check pattern instantly gives picnic vibes and makes the whole design feel warm and inviting. I layered the elements on a wood-textured strip to mimic a tabletop, which helps ground the images and pull the whole look together.

There’s just something about burgers and fries that feels like an instant celebration—and this card captures that fun, laid-back vibe perfectly!

This card is a great reminder that masculine designs don’t have to be complicated—just combine bold images, a strong theme, and a few thoughtful layers.

Whether you’re crafting for a birthday, Father’s Day, or just because, this design is sure to bring a smile (and maybe a craving for fries!).

Cute As A Bug

Today’s TGIF Challenge is a fun Sketch Challenge, and I had such a great time bringing it to life with some sweet, whimsical elements!

For my card, I started with a Petal Pink card base to create a soft and warm foundation. I layered on patterns from the Cute As a Bug Designer Series Paper, which adds so much charm with its playful prints and tiny details. The sketch really lends itself to layering, so I mixed patterns while keeping everything cohesive with a gentle color palette.

The focal panel features some adorable bug images and florals, which I arranged to create a cheerful little scene. I love how the characters add personality and movement across the card!

For the sentiment, I used one from Lovely Arrangements, stamping it in Blackberry Bliss ink on Basic White cardstock. The rich, deep color really pops against the lighter background and ties everything together beautifully.

To finish things off, I added Strawberries and Dots embellishments for a fun touch of texture and color.

This sketch was so much fun to work with—it’s versatile and perfect for showcasing patterned paper and layered elements. I hope this inspires you to give the TGIF Sketch Challenge a try and create something fun of your own!

So Grateful For You

Hello, crafty friends! 💕 Today, I'm excited to share a quick and easy card I created for the latest Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge. Life’s been a bit hectic lately as we prepare our house to sell, but I couldn’t resist participating in this fun sketch challenge using the gorgeous Fluttering Garden Paper Pumpkin kit from March 2026.

As you can imagine, time has been tight, so I wanted to create a card that was both beautiful and easy to assemble. The Fluttering Garden kit was perfect because it came with stunning pre-printed elements and embellishments that saved me time without sacrificing creativity!

Card Details:

For this card, I followed the sketch provided by the challenge and incorporated some of the beautiful paper from the kit and a bit from my stash. Here’s what I did:

Background: I started by tearing a strip of the Pretty Peacock paper. The ruffled edges add such a fun texture and dimension to the card, and I love the rich color it provides.

Floral Border: I fussy cut the floral pattern from one of the envelopes to create a subtle but beautiful border on top of the Pretty Peacock strip.

Sentiment: The sentiment "I’m So Grateful For You" is included in the kit.  It’s such a heartfelt message that works for so many occasions.

Hummingbirds: The two adorable hummingbirds are die-cut pieces from the kit, and I added them in opposite corners for balance. Their delicate details bring life to the design, making it extra special.

Finishing Touches: A few sequins add just the right amount of sparkle, and a simple bow with white twine at the bottom keeps the design feeling light and airy.
The Fluttering Garden kit made it so easy to put together a stunning alternative card for this challenge. The colors, the hummingbirds, and the floral elements came together beautifully, and I’m so pleased with the result. It’s a great reminder that sometimes simple is best—especially when you’re short on time but still want to create something beautiful.

I hope this card has inspired you to take part in the Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge! It’s a great way to get creative, even when life gets busy. And don’t forget, you can always use Paper Pumpkin kits to create fun alternatives and mix things up!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Happy stamping!

I'm excited to be playing along with the latest Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge! This challenge features a beautiful soft and elegant color combination of Misty Moonlight, Cloud Cover, and Soft Sea Foam. These colors work so well together for a fresh, calming design.

For my card, I reached for the Sweet Blooms Bundle, which is quickly becoming one of my favorite bundles for creating layered floral cards. I love how the dies create gorgeous dimension that really makes the flowers stand out.

I started with a Cloud Cover card base, then added a textured white panel that gives the background subtle interest without overpowering the design. To bring in the Misty Moonlight, I added a vertical embossed strip that anchors the layout and provides a nice contrast against the lighter colors.

The floral elements from the Sweet Blooms dies were cut using Cloud Cover and Misty Moonlight, layering them to create depth and softness. I tucked in a few delicate leaf sprigs in Soft Sea Foam to frame the flowers and add movement to the arrangement.

For the sentiment, I combined a bold die-cut script with smaller stamped words to create the phrase “have a lovely day.” The layered sentiment helps it stand out while still blending beautifully with the overall design.

I love how this card turned out — the mix of soft florals, texture, and layered elements makes it feel elegant yet simple.

Be sure to head over to the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge blog to see the amazing inspiration from the rest of the design team and play along with this beautiful color combination!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a lovely day!
