Radiant Sunflowers - Hello Friend

Hello, crafty friends!

I'm so excited to be sharing my card for the latest Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge! I loved how versatile this sketch is, and it was the perfect opportunity to use the beautiful Sunflower Fields Suite Collection again.

For my interpretation, I paired the gorgeous Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper with die-cut sunflowers in Darling Duckling, Golden Glow, Old Olive, and Pecan Pie. The vases were cut from Secret Sea cardstock create a bold contrast and really make the warm sunflower colors pop.

To add a little extra interest without overwhelming the design, I embossed the Basic White background using the Rustic Check 3D Embossing Folder. The subtle texture gives the card a cozy, farmhouse feel that complements the sunflowers perfectly. A torn strip of coordinating DSP helps ground the arrangement, while a few Radiant Gems embellishments add just the right amount of sparkle.

The finishing touch is the cheerful "Hello, Friend" sentiment, making this an easy card to brighten someone's day.

Card Details:

  • Suite Collection: Sunflower Fields
  • Embossing Folder: Rustic Check 3D
  • Cardstock: Secret Sea, Basic White, Darling Duckling, Golden Glow, Old Olive & Pecan Pie
  • Designer Series Paper: Sunflower Fields DSP

To finish the design, I added sentiment afrom the You're the Best stamp set. The combination of "Thanks" and "You Are Amazing" makes this card perfect for showing appreciation to someone special.

Artisan Sketched Garden of Thoughtfulness

Welcome! I'm so happy you're here for the latest Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge!

The black-and-white stripes and polkadots in the inspiration photo immediately caught my eye, and I knew the Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper would be the perfect starting point. I paired the bold black-and-white patterns with vibrant floral images for just the right pops of color.

The flowers were colored with Stampin' Blends in Strawberry Slush, Bubble Bath, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Granny Apple Green, creating a bright focal point against the monochromatic background. To add a little elegance and shine, I layered the arrangement over a Spotlight on Nature Gold Foil die-cut circle and finished the card with a few Flower Accents Embellishments.

I love how the combination of bold patterns, cheerful florals, and touches of gold brings this inspiration challenge to life!  The Fabulous Sayings stamp set provided the perfect sentiment to let someone know you are thinking of them!

When I saw the latest Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge featuring Coastal Cabana, Old Olive, and Pecan Pie, I knew I wanted to create something bright, and cheerful with the adorable Wild Bunch Stamp Set, this month's Product of the Month.

For this card, I started with a Coastal Cabana card base and added texture using the Lazy Daisy Embossing Folder. The embossed floral panel creates a fun backdrop for the star of the card—this sweet little cow from the Wild Bunch Stamp Set.

I stamped the image in Basic Black Ink and colored it with Stampin' Blends in Pecan Pie, Crumb Cake, and Barely Blush for a warm, rustic look. The cow was then fussy cut and layered onto a die-cut circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies.

To bring in the challenge colors, I added a strip of Pecan Pie cardstock behind the focal image and accented the design with a few Old Olive die-cut leaves from the Sweet Bugs Dies. The subtle floral pattern from the Cute as a Bug Designer Series Paper adds just the right amount of detail without competing with the focal image.

A simple "Hi Friend" sentiment and a few Natural Matte Dots finish off this sweet card, making it perfect for sending a little handmade hello.

For this week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge, I created a special anniversary card for my parents as they celebrate their 51st wedding anniversary!

The inspiration photo immediately made me think of a peaceful coastal sunset, so I reached for the beautiful Scenic Coast Designer Series Paper and paired it with the Relaxing Waterside and Sunset Coast dies to create this serene beach scene. The Adirondack chairs overlooking the sunset felt like the perfect way to capture a lifetime of love, memories, and quiet moments together.

I used a soft coastal palette featuring Basic White, Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate, Barely Blush, Very Vanilla, and Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock. The sentiment was stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink to tie in the rich ocean tones, while Crumb Cake ink added texture and warmth to the sandy shoreline.

I love how the layered die cuts, seashells, lighthouse, and flying birds bring this sunset scene to life. It’s a card filled with warmth, reflection, and celebration — perfect for honoring 51 wonderful years together.

Extraordinary Day

Hello crafty friends!

Today I’m sharing my card for the latest Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge, and I had so much fun mixing patterns, layers, and dies for this cheerful floral design.

For this card, I combined the beautiful Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper with the playful patterns from the Beautiful Ordinary Life Designer Series Paper. I love how the mix of florals, geometric details, and soft watercolor tones creates a fresh and happy look.

The sketch inspired me to layer several patterned pieces behind the focal image. I started with the colorful patterned background and added a strip of black-and-white herringbone paper for contrast. Then I layered a soft mint polka-dot panel to help ground the floral arrangement.

The flowers and leaves were fussy cut from the Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper. I popped the floral cluster up with dimensionals to give the card extra depth and texture. The bold floral image really stands out against the lighter background patterns.

For the sentiment, I chose “Have the Best Day” from Cutest Crew. The dark label adds a strong focal point and balances the softer pastel colors throughout the design.

To finish the card, I added a few bright enamel dots for playful pops of color and included the sweet little honeycomb die cut element for an extra touch of whimsy.

I love how this card came together with a combination of soft florals, graphic patterns, and layered textures. Sketch challenges are always a great way to spark creativity and inspire new layout ideas!

Unbridled Birthday Wishes

There’s something so satisfying about a color challenge that really stretches your creativity, and this one from Hand Stamped Sentiments did just that! This week’s trio—Pecan Pie, Misty Moonlight, and Old Olive—felt earthy, calming, and perfect for a rustic-inspired design.

For my card, I leaned into those natural tones and created a layered birthday card with a bit of countryside charm. The striped background comes from the Waterside Retreat Designer Series Paper, and I love how the soft Misty Moonlight stripes add a relaxed, breezy feel while still grounding the design.

I framed the stamped scene beautifully with a Pecan Pie Textured Notes frame. The horse image from the Unbridled Beauty stamp set became the star of the card—its warm tones work perfectly with Pecan Pie, while subtle Old Olive details in the background add just enough contrast without overpowering the design.

To add a bit of texture and interest, I roughed up the edges behind the focal panel and added some simple Crumb Cake twine. It’s an easy way to bring in that rustic, handmade feel. The “Happy Birthday” sentiment from Simply Said ties everything together and keeps the design cohesive.

What I love most about this card is how these three colors balance each other—Pecan Pie brings warmth, Misty Moonlight adds depth, and Old Olive gives a fresh, natural touch. It’s a combination I’ll definitely be using again!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope this inspires you to give this color combo a try and join in on the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge this week.

Happy Stamping!

Bistro Burger for a Great Guy

Welcome to the latest Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge.  This is a challenge that feels like it's for the guys!

There are lots of great new products that would work perfectly for this Inspiration Challenge, but sadly, they have not found their way to my craft room yet.

Rest assured, I have lots of other great products in my stash that worked for this challenge.  I created a masculine-themed card that’s great for birthdays, Father’s Day, or just celebrating one of the “great guys” in your life. The star of the show is the Bistro Burger bundle, which brings all the delicious details to life. From the juicy burger layered with toppings to the perfectly seasoned fries and crisp pickles, these stamped and colored images add so much personality and charm.

To set the scene, I used the Cute as a Bug Designer Series Paper as a playful tablecloth background. The Poppy Parade check pattern instantly gives picnic vibes and makes the whole design feel warm and inviting. I layered the elements on a wood-textured strip to mimic a tabletop, which helps ground the images and pull the whole look together.

There’s just something about burgers and fries that feels like an instant celebration—and this card captures that fun, laid-back vibe perfectly!

This card is a great reminder that masculine designs don’t have to be complicated—just combine bold images, a strong theme, and a few thoughtful layers.

Whether you’re crafting for a birthday, Father’s Day, or just because, this design is sure to bring a smile (and maybe a craving for fries!).

I'm excited to be playing along with the latest Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge! This challenge features a beautiful soft and elegant color combination of Misty Moonlight, Cloud Cover, and Soft Sea Foam. These colors work so well together for a fresh, calming design.

For my card, I reached for the Sweet Blooms Bundle, which is quickly becoming one of my favorite bundles for creating layered floral cards. I love how the dies create gorgeous dimension that really makes the flowers stand out.

I started with a Cloud Cover card base, then added a textured white panel that gives the background subtle interest without overpowering the design. To bring in the Misty Moonlight, I added a vertical embossed strip that anchors the layout and provides a nice contrast against the lighter colors.

The floral elements from the Sweet Blooms dies were cut using Cloud Cover and Misty Moonlight, layering them to create depth and softness. I tucked in a few delicate leaf sprigs in Soft Sea Foam to frame the flowers and add movement to the arrangement.

For the sentiment, I combined a bold die-cut script with smaller stamped words to create the phrase “have a lovely day.” The layered sentiment helps it stand out while still blending beautifully with the overall design.

I love how this card turned out — the mix of soft florals, texture, and layered elements makes it feel elegant yet simple.

Be sure to head over to the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge blog to see the amazing inspiration from the rest of the design team and play along with this beautiful color combination!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a lovely day!

Wintery Blues

It's time to join in the latest Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge fun! This month's inspiration photos are full of soft wintery blues.

Lovely Blossoms Designer Series Paper really did most of the work for this card—just look at that gorgeous floral image! The rich navy background paired with the crisp white blooms makes such a striking combination.

The only stamping I added was the sweet “Sending Smiles” sentiment from Lovely Arrangements, keeping the design clean and letting the paper shine.

This week’s Sketch-n-Share sketch made it easy to bring everything together. I love how a good sketch helps orchestrate the layout and takes the guesswork out of designing!

Who will you be sending smiles to this week?
