Playing With Sand - Around the World on Wednesday

Welcome to the June edition of Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop! Are you arriving from Chris Smith's sandy creation or just getting started?  Either way, just be sure to hop all the way through!

This month's theme had me dreaming of warm sunshine, sandy beaches, and tropical getaways. With summer just around the corner, I couldn't resist creating a beach-inspired card featuring the beautiful Rolling Waves Bundle.

For this design, I started by creating the ocean scene at the top of my card. The layered wave dies from the Rolling Waves Bundle add incredible movement and texture, perfectly capturing the look of foamy surf rolling onto the shore. I stamped soft shades of Coastal Cabana to create the water and sky, then layered the die-cut waves to bring the scene to life.

The sandy beach was created with Crumb Cake cardstock and a bit of tone-on-tone stamping to mimic the texture of sand. To enhance the tropical feel, I tucked a few vibrant die-cut palm leaves behind my focal cluster.

The beach umbrella, seashells, and starfish create a fun vacation vibe, while the "Bon Voyage" sentiment is the perfect finishing touch. The bright coral and soft pastel accents pop beautifully against the turquoise water and neutral sand, making this card feel cheerful and relaxing all at once.

Thank you for stopping by today! Be sure to continue around the world with the rest of the talented designers for even more inspiration. I'd love to hear what you think of this beachy creation in the comments below!

Around The World On Wednesday - Use Your Stash

Welcome to this month’s Around The World on Wednesday Blog Hop! I’m so glad you’re here.

Our theme this month is “Use Your Stash.” I love this challenge because it encourages us to pull out those beautiful supplies we already own and give them some creative love again.

For my project, I reached into my stash and pulled out the Bloom Where You Are Planted Designer Series Paper along with the Plentiful Plants stamp set. These have always been favorites of mine, and the lush greenery patterns were perfect for today’s card.

We are also CAS(e)ing Kim Gibbons Fee this month. I really enjoyed studying Kim’s style and pulling inspiration from her design. For my card, I was inspired by her clean layout and the way she layers focal elements to create depth while still keeping the overall look simple and balanced.

To create my card, I started with a Gray Granite card base and added the brick-style patterned paper to give the look of a wall behind the plants. I then layered several fussy-cut plant images from the Bloom Where You Are Planted DSP, arranging them in different heights to create a little indoor garden scene.

Using a few dimensionals helped lift the plants and add dimension, making the arrangement feel more natural and full. I also tucked in a small strip of patterned paper behind the focal cluster for a pop of warm color and contrast.

The sentiment, “Thank You So Very Much,” comes from the Plentiful Plants stamp set and fits perfectly with the garden theme. To finish the card, I added a few enamel dots for a bit of shine and texture.

This project was such a great reminder that we often have amazing supplies already in our craft rooms—sometimes they just need to be rediscovered!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Be sure to continue around the hop to see how the rest of the design team used their stash and how they were inspired by Kim Gibbons Fee.

Next up is Cheryl Hamilton.  I can't wait to see what she has created!

Around The World On Wednesday - February 2026

Welcome to the February edition of Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop!  We are so excited to share our projects CAS(e)ing our fellow team member, Teri West of Alaska Stamper.

Teri loves to do alternate designs for the Paper Pumpkin kits, some of which you will see this year in the Paper Pumpkin lives as she celebrates another year as one of our fabulous Artisan Design Team members.  We're also mashing this month up with a catalog CAS(e) as well!

I loved Teri's project using the May 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit, Batter Up!  Creating a card and a coordinating tag seemed like the perfect way to try out the new Help Me Grow Bundle.
Look how cute these gardens tools are! In addition to my love of stamping, I love working in my flower garden just as much.  I knew I needed this set as soon as I saw it in the pre-order.  I love that you can stamp the tool handles in this pretty floral pattern.
I created a cheerful pot of flowers to go on the tag.  This little tag would be the perfect way to dress up a little plant to gift to someone special!

My card and tag were also inspired by the sweet Mix & Match samples seen on page 16 of the January-April 2026 Mini Catalog.  I've got to get these Mix & Match products added to my next order!

Next up is Cheryl Hamilton of Create with Cheryl. You are going to love what she has created this month!

Around The World on Wednesday - January 2026

Welcome to the first Around the World on Wednesday blog hop of 2026!  This month we are CAS(e)ing the talented Jan Clothier and her love of the Faux Torn Paper Mask technique.  We're also adding in a This or That twist to the mix...so much fun!

May be a graphic of text that says 'JAN January 2026 CLOTHIER TEAM MEMBER FOCUS'

Here's a little peek at one of Jan's projects that inspired me:

I chose the Celebratory Sips bundle to create some refreshing birthday wishes!

Who doesn't love a yummy pink drink with an umbrella?  I used shades of Strawberry Slush, Timid Tiger and Bubble Bath to blend together a beautiful background for these sweet sips.

Maybe a tall glass of lemonade is more your sipping style.  I blended Daffodil Delight, Timid Tiger and just a bit of Lemon Lime twist.  If you look closely, you'll see some Lemon Lime Twist ice cubes stamped as well.

Celebratory Sips Designer Series Paper compliment each card and the Textured Notes dies added just the perfect amount of texture around each layer.  Cheers!

Thankful for Autumn

Welcome to the October edition of Around the World on Wednesday!  This month we are CAS(e)ing the fabulous Chris Smith.  Chris loves a good sketch, so we scrolled through all of her beautiful creations to find the perfect card to inspire us.

Fall weather is officially here...cooler mornings followed by warm and sunny afternoons.  I love the first part of fall!  I chose to create with the Amber Autumn bundle for today's hop.

I was inspired by this adorable card that Chris made.  I love the sketch and layers of different paper.

The plaid pattern of Gathering Together DSP, along with the leafy pattern with just the right amount of gold, paired up beautifully with the acorn image.
A little bit of Irregular Weave Trim tied with an Early Espresso Linen bow was the only embellishment needed.

Keep on hopping to see what our friend Lori Willcox has created today!

Happy stamping!

Remember When...

Welcome to the September edition of Around the World on Wednesday!  This month we are looking back and remembering when...such as remembering our first stamp set, or remembering the trends of our youth.  It could be remembering a loved one or an event in our life that we remember.  The possibilities are endless!

As we continue through the year, we are also CAS(e)ing a team member and this month that team member happens to be me!  I can't wait to hop along and see everyone's creations!  Whether you are just getting started or have arrive here from Chris Smith, be sure to hop all the way through!

With today being the eve of the 24th anniversary of 9/11, I chose to remember that day and honor all of the brave fire fighters who ran to help on this horrific day in history.  Being the wife and a mom of firefighters, I hold an extra special place in my heart for all of them.

I used the Painted Stripes background stamp, adding one single Real Red line to symbolize the courage and solidarity of the fire service.  The sentiment from The Right Words was absolutely perfect for this card.

This card is a CAS(e) of a scrapbook page I made for a dear family friend, and co-worker of my husband, who passed away while on duty, nearly 2 years ago.  As I said, those in the fire service hold a very special place in my heart.

Keep on hopping to see what Teri West has created for us today!

His & Her's Adventures

Welcome to this month's Around The World on Wednesday Blog Hop!  This month we are CAS(e)ing our Aussie team member Rochelle Laird Smith, who is known for using lots of beautiful layers and making multiple cards with one stamp set.
I was filled with so much inspiration as I scrolled through Rochelle's past creations...so much talent!  I decided to use the Weekend Adventures stamp set to create a His & Her's adventure card.

It's so much fun filling this adorable camping much with the little bouquet of wild flowers.  I partnered the stamped images with layers of Weekend Adventures Two-Tone Cardstock and Weekend Adventures DSP for a more feminine card.  The Pressed Flowers embossing folder seemed quite fitting.

Next up is a more rugged version of the camp mug, complete with the Forever Plaid 3D embossing folder and some Scenic Adventure Trees.  I love tearing the Two-Tone Cardstock to add a bit more texture.

Keep on hopping to see what my friend Teri has made this month!

Around The World on Wednesday - July 2025

Welcome to the July edition of Around the World on Wednesday!  After a little hiatus, I'm happy to be hopping along with this talented group of stampers. We are continuing our CAS(e)ing our French team member, Aurelie and playing along with a Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge.
May be a graphic of text that says 'TĐ˜C-TAC-ToE JULY ULY2025 2025 shadow circle texture metallic line bright bold repeat water NĂ  Noion Trounale "hedmday 6ae'
I went for a diagonal Tic-Tac-Toe and brought in bold colors, lines and texture. Take a look at what I created.
I drew my inspiration from Aurelie's card seen below.  Isn't it the cutest?
I CASed the layout, switching out the fun fish for some summer sips! I used the strips of paper for the "lines" of the Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge, along with the Soft Waves 3D embossing folder for "texture" and Celebratory Sips DSP for "bold".
With 100+ degree weather in my neck of the woods, this card almost feels like it quenches your thirst!

Next up in the hop is Lori Wilcox.  You are going to love what she created!

Happy Stamping!
