Happy Monday stampin friends!

 

Between a full day of baseball on Saturday and stamp club on Sunday, I didn't have much time for stamping this weekend, but I did manage to get one card, thanks to this month's fun SSINK Card Sketch!

And even though I only had time to make one card, I had the chance to play with a few of my pre-order items!  The Pieces & Pattern's stamp set and fun Pick a Pattern DSP paper were perfect for a birthday card for my son's friend who has a birthday this week!

Forever Begins Today

Wedding season is quickly approaching and the amazing design team over at SSINK is getting a head start on wedding and anniversary cards.

Woohoo!!  We're half way through the week!  Happy Wednesday!

 

We are over half way through the school year too and we are showing some teacher appreciation today over at SSINK!  My twins are wrapping up their final year at their elementary school...this momma is NOT ready for middle school next year.  I would love for them to remain an Edison Shocker for a few more years, but that's not going to happen.  At least I can make sure their teachers get a fun card from them before the year is over...and maybe a bottle of wine for putting up with my kids all year :-)

The Light You Shine

Happy Monday stampin' friends! 

 

It's the Monday after spring break, so my house is kind of dragging this morning!  After having a week without our crazy school mornings, I think I am looking forward to summer break more so than my kids are!  At least the last two months of the school year always seem to go by so fast, so summer will be here before we know it.

 

At least I had a fun new SSINK sketch to help get my day off to a good start!

My hubby and I are celebrating our 13th anniversary today and this card was created for him.  Finding the right sentiment for an anniversary card for a guy is not the easiest task, but I love this sentiment from the High Tide stamp set and it seemed to work well with the images from the Wherever You Go stamp set.  I love it when you can use more than one stamp set together!

Battle of the Badges

 Happy Wednesday stampers!

 

It feels like it's been for-EVER since I've made anything, let alone post anything on my blog!  Between being out of town 2 weekends this month and baseball season starting up, my time has been super limited.  I'm doing my best to remedy that and get a little more creative time in my day.

 

I am not a huge fan of basketball, but it has been an exciting college basketball season in our neck of the woods.  Gonzaga is just a few hours away from where I live, so it's been fun watching them make their way to the Final Four. 

 

Basketball won't end there for us though!  My husband will be playing in the Battle of the Badges Charity basketball game in April.  Our local Fire and Police Departments will play this year to raise money for our local schools. It's a great event and something the community looks forward to every year!  That is the inspiration behind my card today's SSINK March Madness post :-)

I hope you had a fabulous weekend and got to enjoy a little bit of sunshine!  We had one day of cold rain, but it burned off and we had a beautiful sun-shiny day yesterday!  Much needed for this momma as I've been feeling a bit under the weather.

Happy {Scrappy} Birthday

I know you've seen a lot from me lately with the Lift Me Up stamp set and coordinating Sale-a-Bration Carried Away DSP...which means I have lots of scraps from this stack of paper!

It's a good thing SSINK is having a scrap day today because I need to use some of them up!  You should see my scrap bin...it's overflowing.  I am such a hoarder, but then I get so overwhelmed by it that I end up dumping the whole thing once in a while and start fresh.  Maybe I'll stick my scrap bin out at my next stamp club and let everyone pick from it!

Anyway...since I had so many Carried Away DSP scraps in the front of my bin, that's what I went to for today's card.

Be Still, I've Got This

Hi stampers...welcome back!  It's been a while since I've had a week full of posts and I have to admit, it feels good to be creating as much as I have been.  My job has finally mellowed out after almost 2 years of crazy chaos and I am loving it!

 

I'm using the beautiful High Tide stamp set again today for a card that could be used as a Sympathy or Thinking of You card, which is what our focus is over at SSINK today.  I need to have more of these cards on hand as you never know when you might need one!

Simple Birthday ~ #SSINKCC42

 Hello stampers!  Here we are at Monday again...the weekend went by way too fast, as always!  We had a productive weekend at our house and I even managed to get some stamping in, so that's a win in my book!

 

It's time for an all new color challenge at SSINK and we have a cheerful palate of colors for you!

 

I chose to go with a sweet and simple birthday card with these colors.  Sometimes less is more and it sure felt that way with this card.  I love the simplicity of it!

It's Friday Favorites over at SSINK where we are sharing our favorite creations with the new Stampin' Up! Watercolor Pencils.  I will be honest...I wasn't sure about these pencils when they first came out, but now that I have them and have been using them, I LOVE them!  There is something almost magical about the way they work :)

I pulled out one of my favorite images to color and used this weeks Freshly Made Sketches sketch for a sweet and simple card.

Love Is In The Air

We are CASEing the Occasions Catalog today over at SSINK today and I chose to case the awesome hot air balloon card on the front of the catalog.  We have an annual balloon stampede where I live, so this bundle was a must have for me!  I switched things up a bit and made mine a Valentine's card, but the lay out of the card is pretty much an exact case of the Occasions Catalog :-)  The catalogs are my greatest source of inspiration most days!

Ombre Love

Happy Monday stampin' friends!  I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

 

It is still FREEZING cold here with over a foot of the snow on the ground, so we spent the majority of our weekend at home.  I took some time to clean and organize my craft room and I'm so happy I did!  It makes creating so much easier when I actually have room to work :-)  And after I cleaned, I did take a little bit of time to stamp too!

 

One of the projects I worked on was this month's SSINK Inspiration Challenge.  I LOVE this picture and was inspired by the ombre heart.

I created an ombre background on watercolor paper and added a simple heart and sentiment.  Quick and easy!

Friday Favorites

Hooray for Friday!  

We have had quite the winter storm here this week, bringing us well over a foot of snow with layers of ice in between.  My kiddos had a few late starts and snow days, which made for kind of a crazy week around our house!  The snow has finally quit and we actually had some sunshine...with -3 degree temps!  At this point, I'll take any sunshine I can get!

I am so happy it's Friday and even more happy about Friday Favorites at SSINK!  

I am a little obsessed with the Party Animal Embellishments, which are my favorite this week!

I always seem to be short on masculine birthday cards, so I decided to use the beautiful new High Tide stamp set and create a card for my father-in-law's upcoming birthday.  I absolutely LOVE the lighthouse image in this set...it is amazing!

 

I created the plank background by inking up some watercolor paper with Soft Suede ink then running it through the Big Shot in the Woodgrain embossing folder while it was still a bit damp.

I switched things up a little bit with my card, but not too much!  I stated out with the fun taco truck image from the Sale-a-Bration Tasty Trucks stamp set, but no matter what I did, I couldn't get it to work out the way I had pictured it in my head.  Does that ever happen to you?  I had to walk away for a bit and the idea of the llama popped in to my head!  What do you think?!?!
