#TGIF103 Sketch Challenge

Hello stampin' friends!

 

Can I just say that I am so darn happy that it's Friday?!?! It has been one crazy week, which got even crazier yesterday when we discovered my youngest has to have a hernia repair surgery next week :-(

 

Thank goodness I have this weeks TGIF Challenge to take my mind off of things!  We have a fun sketch for everyone to play along with this week!

 

 

Coloring in any form is always relaxing for me, so I reached for the Birthday Blooms stamp set and broke out my Aqua Painters and got to work!

I always love our Hand Stamped Sentiments Tuesday challenges and this weeks color challenge has one of my favorite color combos!

These fun colors are in the A Little Foxy DSP stack, so I pulled some fun prints from that stack and got to work on a pretty simple little thank you card.

Happy Monday stampin' friends!

I hope you had a fabulous weekend and got to enjoy a little bit of sunshine!  We had one day of cold rain, but it burned off and we had a beautiful sun-shiny day yesterday!  Much needed for this momma as I've been feeling a bit under the weather.

It's time for an all new SSINK Inspiraiton Challenge and we have a beautiful picture to help inspire your creativity today!  I was drawn to the beautiful lavender fields in this picture and used that for my inspiration in today's card.

Ombre Love

Happy Monday stampin' friends!  I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

 

It is still FREEZING cold here with over a foot of the snow on the ground, so we spent the majority of our weekend at home.  I took some time to clean and organize my craft room and I'm so happy I did!  It makes creating so much easier when I actually have room to work :-)  And after I cleaned, I did take a little bit of time to stamp too!

 

One of the projects I worked on was this month's SSINK Inspiration Challenge.  I LOVE this picture and was inspired by the ombre heart.

I created an ombre background on watercolor paper and added a simple heart and sentiment.  Quick and easy!

Copper Feather Thank You ~ Monday Montage

It has been a soggy, foggy weekend in my parts of the world...yuck!  I am NOT ready for this weather.  We had plans to go to the corn maze and pumpkin patch with some friends, but due to the weather and some kiddos who weren't feeling 100%, we opted to stay at home where we would be warm and dry.  My boys and I spent most of Saturday playing games, watching movies and playing with our new chickens!!!

We got 6 new Silkie chickens yesterday and we are so in love with them!  Not only are they super cute and fluffy, but they are super affectionate and love to be held.  The boys and I spent quite a bit of time loving on these new chicks, naming them and making sure the older ones weren't being too mean.  You will never fully understand the meaning of pecking order until you have chickens ;-)  I'm officially a crazy chicken lady!

Today I'm sharing with you a thank you card I will be sending out to the kind family who gave us these new chickens.

Hello Sunshine ~ Monday Montage

It's been a while since I last blogged...so welcome back!  I've been sneaking in a little bit of stamping, but haven't had a whole lot of time to get any blogging done. Sadly, I'm not going to be getting much stamping time over the next couple of weeks either because our house finally SOLD!  Any extra time right now is being spent packing up the old house and getting things done at the new house.  Our summer has been eaten up by the whole process of selling our house and buying the new one, but all of our hard work and patience has paid off!

Our family takes a trip to the Oregon Coast every summer, but due to the house stuffs, that trip has been put on hold until this fall.  Between missing that trip and not having Convention in July, my heart is feeling a little empty.  I decided to create a little piece of the beach and sunshine to help make me feel a little bit closer to those things that I'm missing.  It doesn't quite fill the void, but this card sure makes me happy!

Happy Mother's Day

Good morning stampers and Happy Mother's Day!

Today is a day where we celebrate our Mothers and show them just how much we love and cherish them.  My boys show me how much they love me every day, but they always make Mother's Day a little extra special.  As I celebrate this day as a mom, I am reminded of all that my own mom taught me and am so blessed for all that she does for me.  

Happy Mother's Day to my own momma...a friend, a teacher and the world's best grandma...we all love you back to the moon!

I was so happy to get my pre-order in time to make this card for my momma!  The new Swirly Bird stamp set and coordinating Swirly Scribbles Thinlits were at the top of my list, so I was super excited that this bundle was on the pre-order!

Mother's Day Dahlia

Hello happy stampers and happy Tuesday!

Tuesday means it's time for an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge and this color combo is so pretty!  These colors could be used for so many different themed cards...I may have to use it again for a baby card!

But today I am using these fabulous colors for another Mother's Day card.  I'm almost done getting all of them made...nothing like getting down to the wire!
