Thinking of You Always

Happy Tuesday and welcome to an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge.  This is a beautiful color combination!

With winter quickly arriving, I decided to use these colors with the Winterly Tree Tops bundle.  I stamped the birds in Memento Tuxedo Black on Basic Beige, coloring them Pebbled Path and Crumb Cake, and a little Peach Pie beak.

I stamped the Falling Snow on Balmy Blue in Whisper White Kraft Ink...it was really hard to capture it in the photo, but it's so pretty!  I tucked in a few Textured Floral sprigs in Pebbled Path and Cherry Cobbler to make the tree branch a little bit fuller.

The sweet sentiment was die cut using the Peaceful Season dies.

I can't wait to see what everyone is inspired to create with this pretty color combo!

Happy Stamping!

Fine Art Thoughts ~ #TGIFC324

Happy Friday y'all!  We've got an all new sketch challenge for you over at TGIF Challenges to help you kick off your weekend!
I love the Pattern Party Host DSP!  It is full of bright, cheerful and colorful designs on one side and awesome black and white designs on the flip side.  I went with one of the black and white designs with some bright and cheerful Fine Art flowers for today's sketch.
I inked up the flowers in shades of Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia, Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green.  They were all die cut with the Floral Gallery dies, along with a few additional pieces snipped and tucked into places to fill the gaps.  Just like arranging real flowers!
To create the diagonal piece of the sketch, I tore the DSP and layered it on top of a torn piece of Basic Black.  After tucking the flowers in, I decided some Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon was just what the card needed.  A simple "I'm thinking of you" sentiment was heat embossed on Basic Black and a few Fresh Freesia In-Color Jewels completed the card!

I hope you will join along in the fun this week!  The team over at TGIF always loves to see what you create!

Happy Stamping!

Peony Thoughts ~ Monday Montage

Welcome to an all new Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won't want to miss a single creation from this amazing group of stampers!
Hello from Utah!  It took us two days of travel, but we made it to Rockville, UT to hang out with our very own Wend Weixler! I am so excited to spend a few days with her exploring Zion!  Hopefully we will get in a little stamping time together as well!
I got a new box of stamps and paper a couple days before we left and had just enough time to put this beauty together.  When I saw the Peony Garden suite, I knew it was one that I had to have.  I LOVE peonies...so much that I just planted two more in my yard this year!

The subtle colors in the Peony Garden DSP are gorgeous.  I chose two of the Smoky Slate patterns of DSP to layer, then added the largest peony image colored in Petal Pink and Soft Sea Foam for just the right amount of soft color.

The Elegant Faceted Gems provided just the right amount of bing.  I can already tell I will be needing more of these elegant embellishments!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Basic Gray, Peony Garden DSP
Ink ~ Basic Gray, Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Petal Pink, Soft Sea Foam
Stamp Set ~ Prized Peony
Other Supplies ~ Peony Dies, Elegant Faceted Gems

Thanks for stopping by today!  Now, on to the next stop on the hop!

Happy Stamping!

We've added a list of everyone's home pages so you can hop along in any order you wish!  Just make sure you don't miss any!

Rustic Thoughtfullness

Hello stampers!

It's been a bit of a roller coaster week of emotions for my family.  The week started with celebrating my youngest sons birthday, which was lots of fun for all of us.  But it also started with the news of my husbands uncle taking a turn for the worse.  We didn't think he would make it through the night on Monday, but he rallied through and hung on so he could say good-bye to all of his family members who were coming in from all over the US.  We said our finally good-byes yesterday...
I made this card a few days ago and it seems fitting to share it today as all of my husbands family is grieving the loss of a dear, sweet man.
Rustic Retreat caught my eye in the catalog, mainly because of the animal images.  I'm always drawn to outdoor life images, especially for cards I create for my husband and boys.  But I was also drawn to the beautiful cabin image...it just feels so calming and peaceful!
I colored the image with both Watercolor Pencils and Stampin' Blends.  I still can't decide which I like best, but I did go with the Blends version for the card I'm sharing today.  Adding the Buffalo Check background and the textures from the Corrugated 3D and Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing folders were just what this rustic old cabin needed.

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Soft Suede, Shaded Spruce, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Ink ~ Memento, Stampin' Blends: Shaded Spruce, Soft Suede, Cherry Cobbler, Smoky Slate, Pool Party, So Saffron
Stamp Set ~ Rustic Retreat
Other Supplies ~ Layering Ovals Dies, Stitched Shapes Dies, Corrugated 3D EF, Pinewood Planks 3D EF

I'm keeping all of our family in my thoughts and prayers as they prepare for Uncle Lee's service.  It's always bitter sweet to gather family in times like this.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Happy Stamping!

Rooted in Thoughtfulness

I went to bed last night with plans of getting up early and hitting the road at 6:00 AM for a baseball tournament, only to wake up to a message that games had been delayed by two hours.  My first thought???  Sweet, some extra time to stamp!   I will never complain about that!  The only bummer is that one of my boys also woke up not feeling well, so we stayed behind this morning and missed the first game.  He's feeling a bit better, so we are getting ready to pack up and head out for game two later this afternoon.

Before we head out, I wanted to share what I made this morning, thanks to my unexpected extra stamp time.  A co-worker asked me to make a card for her to send to her uncle who has just recently started cancer treatment.  With a little help from this weeks Freshly Made Sketches and Rooted In Nature, I created a simple Thinking of You card.
I am so happy this stamp set and coordinating dies carried over...it's one of my favorites!  And I'm still stuck on the Subtle Embossing Folder...its just the right amount of texture!

The Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack came in perfect when adding the finishing touches to the card.  I love that the Leaves Trinkets carried over too!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Mossy Meadow, Crumb Cake
Ink ~ Mossy Meadow, Memento, Stampin' Blends: Mossy Meadow, Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede
Stamp Set ~ Rooted In Nature
Other Supplies ~ Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack, Nature's Roots, Leaves Trinkets

And we're off...wish us luck that our drive is uneventful and we have a successful second game!

Have a great Saturday!

Happy Stamping!

#tgifc210 Color Challenge!!!

Happy Friday stampers!  Where has the week gone?!?!  I had plans to post projects all week, but life happened and the posts didn't...anyone else have a week like that?  I did still get some creative time in, which is good news because we have a fun new TGIF Challenges Color Challenge this week!

I have another Farewell Friday card to share with you this week.  Sheltering Tree is another stamp set that I am sad to see go.  If I remember correctly, this was one of the first photopolymer stamp sets Stampin' Up! released.  I have used this stamp set time and time again!  It's so good for any occasion, in any season!  It will be missed.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Wood Textures DSP
Ink ~ Crumb Cake, Petal Pink, Pool Party, Basic Gray, Pear Pizzazz
Stamp Set ~ Sheltering Tree
Other Supplies ~ Frosted Flower Embellishments, Pearl Basic Jewels
The Frosted Flower Embellishments are just too cute!  The Dogwood Tree's are blooming in my area and these little flowers reminded me of the pretty blooms.

Thank you for stopping by today!  Have a fantastic Friday and an even better weekend!

Thinking of You

Only one more day until the 2019 Occasions Catalog is released!!!  Are you all as excited as I am?!?!  This catalog is AMAZING and you are going to love EVERYTHING in it!  And guess what?!?!  There's a bonus to wanting everything in the Occasions Catalog!  When you spend $50, you will earn a FREE Sale-A-Bration item between January 3 - March 31, 2019.  How awesome is that?  Be sure to check back here frequently over the next few days to see some fun creations with new items from both the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs.

Today I'm sharing a card made with the Just Because hostess stamp set.  This one caught my eye during OnStage and it was one that I knew I had to add to my collection. I love the simplicity of it!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Night of Navy, Whisper White
Ink ~ Night of Navy, Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Cajun Craze, Old Olive
Stamp Set ~ Just Because
Other Supplies ~ Layered Leaves Embossing Folder, Night of Navy 1/2" Gingham Ribbon

One of my former co-workers lost her sweet dad right before Christmas.  I was so sad to hear this as I often made cards for his birthday and other special occasions, as well as cards for him to give to his friends.  It is never easy to lose a parent, no matter how old they might be.  I hope this card brings a little happiness into my friends day and lets her know that I'm thinking about her.

I'll be back tomorrow to share more new items, so don't forget to stop by again!

Happy Stamping!

Petal Palette Prayers

Hello stampers!  How is your weekend treating you so far?

Our Saturday has been a busy one, but I'm finally home and enjoying a little stamping time while my boys are burning off some energy outside before it gets dark.  You would think after soccer and basketball games that they would be tired, but they are still running around and giving me more gray hairs by climbing on top of our chicken coop...crazy boys!!!!!

In an effort to not lose my mind watching them from my office window, I decided to color the beautiful images from Petal Palette.  I swore I was done buying from the Occasions Catalog, but after seeing the beautiful card that Stesga Bloodhart made, I just HAD to get the set so I could CASE her creation!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Basic Black,  Calypso Coral,Petal Passion DSP
Ink ~ Memento, Stampin' Blends: Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party
Stamp Sets ~ Petal Palette, Colorful Seasons, Rose Wonder
Other Supplies ~ Petals & More Thinlits, Basic Rhinestone Jewels

Aren't the roses beautiful?  And the sentiments...they were just what I was needing for two special cards that need to be sent out this week.

I'm happy I had some time to make more than just a simple card today :-)  And even more thankful for warmer and longer days and for boys who love to be outside!  We are all counting down the days until summer break!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Happy Stamping

Brace yourselves...hold on to your hats...are you ready?!?!

Guess what I did today?!?!  I STAMPED and I'm blogging!!!  Not just one card was made, but multiple cards that were NOT for a scheduled blog post.  These days, this seems to be a rare occasion and I am LOVING it!  Mind you, I was supposed to spend the day outside cutting back all of my plants for the fall, but I got too cozy in my craft room and decided they could wait for another day!

I just recently got some items from the Moroccan Suite and decided to pull them out today.  I love the warm colors in the Moraccan DSP...perfect for fall!

I used the latest Freshly Made Sketches sketch to help get me started.  Their sketches never let me down!
