Think Spring ~ Monday Montage

It has been FREEZING here this weekend.  With the crazy wind, snow, hail and rain we've had, I'm not feeling guilty at ALLl for hanging out in my warm, cozy craft room.

We may still be dealing with winter weather, but I'm thinking spring!!!  With Easter being just a little over a month away, I decided it was time to work on some cute Easter creations.  Hello Easter is the CUTEST stamp set...I love that little bunny!

I was inspired by the Occasions Catalog and this weeks fun sketch at Freshly Made Sketches for the card.  And since my FAVORITE Easter treats are in the stores, I had to buy a bag to make  cute treat box with.  I may have eaten a few of those yummy chocolate eggs while I was stamping!  You really can't see in the picture, but I used the Basket Weave embossing folder on the Treat Box..it's super cute!

Petal Palette Prayers

Hello stampers!  How is your weekend treating you so far? 

 

Our Saturday has been a busy one, but I'm finally home and enjoying a little stamping time while my boys are burning off some energy outside before it gets dark.  You would think after soccer and basketball games that they would be tired, but they are still running around and giving me more gray hairs by climbing on top of our chicken coop...crazy boys!!!!!

 

In an effort to not lose my mind watching them from my office window, I decided to color the beautiful images from Petal Palette.  I swore I was done buying from the Occasions Catalog, but after seeing the beautiful card that Stesga Bloodhart made, I just HAD to get the set so I could CASE her creation!

I'm happy I had some time to make more than just a simple card today :-)  And even more thankful for warmer and longer days and for boys who love to be outside!  We are all counting down the days until summer break!

Birdhouse CASE

Hello stampers!  Happy Friday!!!

 

We made it through another week...yippee!! What are your plans for the weekend?  I'm kicking the weekend off with my monthly stamp club tonight...my favorite time of the month :-)  Saturday is a day full of soccer and basketball and Sunday will be full of stamping and maybe a little football.  (I'll be honest...there will likely be very little football watched by me!)

 

Some days I get a little stumped with my stamping...I know it happens to all of us at some point!  When I'm in a slump, I turn to the catalogs for some inspiration and often times CASE a card that I love.  And that's just what I did today!

I changed things up a bit from the card that is in the Occasions Catalog on page 41, but that's what CASE'ing is all about.  You can make it exactly the same or you can change it up a little!  Either way, the catalogs are a great source of inspiration whenever you may be in a creative slump!

Simple Saturday

Hello stampers and happy Saturday!

 

Our Saturday's are jammed packed with sports between now and the end of June, so my stamping time on Saturday's is pretty limited right now.  But since I try to get in my craft room a little bit each day, I've decided to go with Simple Saturday stamping :-)  It's always great to have a quick and easy card for any occasion.

 

Picture Perfect Party Suite is absolutely perfect for creating a simple card. The two step stamps in the stamp set are so easy to use and create some pretty cute images, like these party horns.  Add some super cute DSP from the Picture Perfect Party DSP stack, a few sequins and BAM...you're done!

Simply Tailored

Happy Friday stampin' friends!!!  Do you have any big plans for the weekend?  I hope some stamping is involved at some point for you!  We have a day full of soccer and basketball tomorrow, but Sunday should be a good day of stamping for me...yippee!

 

I needed to add a few masculine cards to my collection and the True Gentleman Suite helped get the job done!  I kept these cards pretty simple, which is VERY hard for me.  I always want to add more layers or more embellishments...more, more, more.  It's so hard for me to stop!  I managed to stop with these ones and I'm kind of happy with how they turned out.

Happiest of Birthdays

Happy Wednesday stamping friends...we're half way through the week!  After being gone from work for two weeks, this week is flying by catching up on all of my work.  Before I know it, the weekend will be here and we get another long weekend...hooray for an extra day of stamping!

I'm trying to get back in the habit of making at least one card a day.  When I worked from home, it was pretty easy to get that done.  Now that we have established a good morning routine, I'm gaining more free time, which means more stamping time!

Today's card is a pretty quick and simple card using the new Picture Perfect Party Suite.  I love the bright colors in the DSP and the fun stamps make for fantastic birthday card!

This is probably one of the easiest two-step stamp sets I've ever used!  The pieces line up so easily and making the stamping a snap!  Be prepared to see more with this stamp set over the next couple of months!

Happy Birthday Dad

Today an amazing man is celebrating his birthday...my dad!  I am pretty sure this will be one of his best years yet because he is now less than 12 months away from retirement!  One year from now, we will be celebrating his retirement (and my early 40th birthday...yikes!) on a warm, sunny beach.

 

I created his birthday card with the thoughts of those warm sunny beaches in the back of my mind.  I'm hoping he can put this in his office as a reminder of what's to come as he counts down his final months, weeks and days of work!

So...this was the first time I used the Brusho Crystal Colour...and I need more practice!  It is fun, but it takes a little work to get the hang of it.  It took me several attempts to not make a mess of my card and if you look closely, you'll see that I got some of the blue on my sun.  Oh well...it adds to the card, right?!?!  It is fun and I am looking forward to playing with it some more!

Magical Day

Happy New Year stamping friends!  I hope you all had a safe and fun night ringing in the New Year! We celebrated with the east coast and called it quits about 9:30...such party animals, right?!?

 

Since my hubby had to work, I deemed today a chore day at our house so we could have fun playing the rest of the week.  I got most of my chores done, but when I got to my craft room to clean, I got totally distracted by my new stamps and paper and HAD to play.  Shhh...don't tell my boys!

 

The new Myths & Magic Suite is so cute and SO FUN to color!

Epicly Awesome Baseball Season

I got my pre-order box a couple of days ago and I could not wait to get the Epic Celebrations stamp set from the Sale-a-Bration catalog inked up.  As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to do a scrapbook page with this photo of my boys.

 

We spent our spring and summer at the baseball fields and we are counting down the days until baseball season starts again!

Bubble Over with Color ~ HSSCC279

Whoa!  I don't know about you, but my Monday FLEW by!!  So fast that I almost forgot about this fun new color challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments!
