Grand Slam Friday

Hello and happy Friday!  It's time for an all new TGIF Challenges and we have a great sketch for you to play along with this week!

This time of year, all my family knows is BASEBALL! My youngest is the only one still playing, but he keeps us plenty busy with games and practices.  And the fact that my hubby is the league president and I am the concession stand manager means we pretty much live at the ball fields.  It makes for busy weeks, but we love it!

Given our love for baseball, the Hey Sports Fan suite was a MUST HAVE for me!

I pulled in several patterns of the Hey Sports Fan DSP for today's sketch challenge.  There is a VERY good chance I may have stocked up on a few extra packs of this DSP!  The Grand Slam sentiment was stamped in Poppy Parade to create a perfect banner for any sports fan.

A couple pennants were die cut, using the Sports Events dies, along with a few Stylish Shapes baseballs.  And you can't have a baseball card without a few stars.  A  Night of Navy Stitched Stars (sadly retired) and a few Resin Stars knocked this card out of the ball park!

If you have any baseball fans in your life, be sure to scoop this suite up before the end of June.  It's one that I will hang on to for sure!

Be sure to check out the rest of our amazing design team creations and join along in the fun with your own creation!

I hope you all have a Grand Slam Friday!

Happy Stamping!

Epicly Awesome Baseball Season

Hello happy stampers and happy Wednesday!!

I got my pre-order box a couple of days ago and I could not wait to get the Epic Celebrations stamp set from the Sale-a-Bration catalog inked up.  As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to do a scrapbook page with this photo of my boys.

We spent our spring and summer at the baseball fields and we are counting down the days until baseball season starts again!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Pacific Point, Real Red. Whisper White
Ink ~ Pacific Point, Watercolor Pencils
Stamp Set ~ Epic Celebrations*
Other Supplies ~ Simple Stripes Textured Embossing Folder**, Myths & Magic Specialty Washi Tape**
(*Sale-a-Bration item, **Occasions 2018 Catalog item)

The Myths & Magic Washi tape was the perfect added touch!  And those shoes from the Epic Celebrations stamp set...my FAVORITE!!  I added a few splatters of ink to grunge it up a little bit because...you know, boys and baseball mean grunge!

Thank you for stopping by today!  Be sure to come back soon for more sneak peeks of what's to come in January!

Baseball Birthday ~ Monday Montage

Welcome back to Monday Montage!!!  We are back with another fabulous hop!  Make sure you click on the links below so you don't miss any of the creations...you are sure to love them all!

Baseball season officially ended for our family on Saturday and we are all feeling a little sad.  My boys team made it to the City Tournament for the second year in a row.  They played a hard game on Saturday, but couldn't quite pull off a win.  Third place is still something to be proud of and I am beyond proud of my boys and the positive attitude they had all season long.  We are looking forward to watching the two final teams battle it out tonight and can't wait for the Allstars tournament to start next weekend.

One of my boys' friends had a birthday this weekend, so I threw together a quick birthday card for him...a baseball card, of course!  Thanks to a fun sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, this card was a breeze to put together!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Real Red, Night of Navy, Wood Textures DSP
Ink ~ Night of Navy, Real Red, Crumb Cake
Stamp Set ~ Guy Greetings
Other Supplies ~ Layering Circle Framelits, Sparkle Embossing Folder, Regals Enamel Shapes

Next stop on the hop is Cathy...I can't wait to see what she has for us this week! Or if you want to hop backwards, you can hop on back to the amazing Amy...I just love her style!

Thanks for hopping along with us today!

For the Love of the Game

Hello happy stampers!

Two blog posts in a row...I'm on a roll :-)  Don't get too excited though...this week is shaping up to be another crazy-busy one that is cutting in to more of my stamping time :-(   But, I will take what time I can get and enjoy every second in my craft room.

We have a fun color challenge this month over at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  It's perfect for the month of July!

Regular season baseball may be over for my boys, but that doesn't mean we are done with baseball.  They are in the middle of a summer baseball camp right now and when they aren't there, you'll likely find them in our back yard or down at the park playing the game they love the most.
It's been a long time since I've created a traditional scrapbook page and I forgot how much I do love to create them!  This is one of my favorite pictures of the baseball season and will be the perfect addition to our baseball themed game room!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Dapper Denim, Smoky Slate, Brights DSP
Ink ~ Basic Gray, Real Red, VersaMark
Stamp Sets ~ Layered Letters Alphabet, Labeler Alphabet
Other Supplies ~ Stars Framelits, Circle Framelits

Fall baseball season starts up in September and we are all counting the days!  Until then, you'll still find us at the All Stars games and the Walla Walla Sweets games.   Eat, Sleep, Play Baseball!

Happy Stamping!

Home Run Birthday

Happy Monday stampin' friends!

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!  I was supposed to head down to Portland OR for the Helvatia half marathon this weekend, but ended up staying home so I could watch my boys play their last baseball game of regular season. While I am bummed I missed the race and spending time with my aunt, I am so happy I decided to stay home..both of my boys played so well and they were both so thankful that I was here to see them play!

This month's SSINK sketch was perfect for a baseball birthday card I needed to make for one of my boys' friends.  Baseball is a huge part of our lives and all of our boys have made some amazing friends over the years...we love every single minute of it!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Night of Navy, Real Red, Whisper White
Ink ~ Night of Navy, Real Red
Stamp Sets ~ May Paper Pumpkin
Other Supplies ~ Start Framelits, Layering Circles Framelits, Linen Thread

In other news, the potential buys of our house are having their inspection tomorrow.  This is the one step in the whole process that has us stressed the most...it could make or break the deal.  Our house is old, but well cared for, so we are hopeful all will go well.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you all have an amazing week!

Happy Stamping!

My family had a weekend full of baseball and I loved every single minute of it!  My twins ended their spring season, which makes me kind of sad...they had such a great season and improved SO MUCH!  Proud momma here, that's for sure!  And with a busy summer ahead of us, fall baseball season will be here before we know it!  My hubby also played a little baseball this weekend in the 3rd Annual Battle of the Badge.  It was a great game between our local Fire and Police Departments, even if Fire lost!

Inspired by our baseball-filled weekend, I decided to put together a fun birthday card for one of the twins' friends who has a birthday coming up.  Dude, Happy Birthday!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Night of Navy, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer, Brights DSP Stack, Birthday Bash DSP
Ink ~ Night of Navy, Real Red
Stamp Sets ~ Something to Say, April 2015 Paper Pumpkin
Other Supplies ~ Circle Framelits, Star Framelits, Mini Treat Bag Thinlits, Whisper White Bakers Twine

I can't help but share some of my favorite pictures from the Battle of the Badge game...our family LOVES baseball!
My sweet family
Aidan & Hunter were bat boys
Owen during the National Anthem

Everybody Loves Sweet Lou

Hi stamping friends and welcome to a new week...stars and stripes week!  I love the 4th of July!  I'm looking forward to the upcoming weekend...family, fireworks and fun!  Being that it is the 4th of July week, I'm planning on having some fun with stars and strips all week!
I'm kicking off the week with a new MDS layout...I've missed playing in MDS and I am happy to have a new page to add to our Family Yearbook.  Last week my older boys participated in the Walla Walla Sweets Baseball Camp and loved every single minute of it!  They each had their picture taken with the team mascot, Sweet Lou, or Onion Guy, as my little guy calls him :-)
MDS Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Summer Possibilities DSP
Ink ~ Night of Navy, Real Red, Smoky Slate
Stamp Sets ~ Extreme Elements, Great Sport, Game Day Baseball
Fonts ~ Arial Black, Throw My Hands Up

I enlarged the stars image from the Extreme Elements stamp brush set and cropped it for the bigger blue star.  I resized the same stamp to create the stars in the background.  I love being able to use one stamp in different ways in MDS!

Thanks for dropping by today!  Be sure to come back tomorrow and see what I have in store for you!

Happy Stamping!

All Star Dad ~ Happy Father's Day

Any man can be a father, but it takes a special person to be a DAD...Happy Father's Day to all of the amazing Dad's out there!
When I asked my boys what kind of card they wanted to make for Father's Day this year, their answer came quickly...BASEBALL!!!  It has been so awesome watching the bond between my boys and my hubby grow even stronger this year through their love of baseball.  Between my hubby helping at the boys' practice and the boys going to my hubby's practice and the countless trips down to the park to play baseball, MANY hours have been spent together sharing their love of the sport!  This year he earns the title of All Star Dad for sure!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Night of Navy, Real Red, Baked Brown Sugar, Whisper White, Regals DSP Stack, Red Glimmer Paper
Ink ~ Real Red, Baked Brown Sugar
Other Supplies ~ Little Letters Thinlits, 2-1/2" Circle Punch, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack

I hope you all enjoy your day with your Dad, even it if it's just enjoying the memories!

Happy Stamping!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

We are wrapping up this years soccer season this coming Saturday and jumping right into baseball season...we are all so excited!  Baseball season means lots of time outside playing catch, running around and just having fun!  It's so much fun to watch my boys  and their teammates improve with each season.
I always like to kick off a new season of baseball with a special little treat for my boys.  When I saw the latest challenge over at The Friday Mashup I was totally inspired to create a fun card to go along with their treats this year.
The Mashup Challenge is to create a masculine project with stitching/sewing.  While I have zero ability to sew, I can create some fun faux stitching on paper!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Night of Navy, Whisper White, Baked Brown Sugar, Real Red, Fresh Prints DSP
Ink ~ Night of Navy, Baked Brown Sugar, Real Red Stampin' Write Marker
Stamp Set ~ Hip Notes
Other Supplies ~ 2-1/2" Circle Punch, Chevron Punch, Paper Piercing Tool, Houndstooth Embossing Folder

To create the "stitched" look on the baseball, I used my Paper Piercing Tool to create a pierce mark at the end of each "V" on the stitching.  To add to the baseball theme, I crumpled up the Baked Brown Sugar paper, sponged it and added pierced around the edges to give it the look of an old worn baseball glove.

Now...PLAY BALL!

And as always, Happy Stamping!
