A Friend is Thinking of You ~ Monday Montage

Welcome back to Monday Montage!!!  We have another fabulous hop in store for you this week!  Make sure you click on the links below so you don't miss any of the creations...we promise you will love them all!
I've said it before and I'll probably to continue to say it as long as I'm stamping...my creative time is my therapy time.  Whether it's taking a bit of time in the early morning hours before my house wakes up or some quiet moments in the evenings or, if i'm lucky enough, a few hours over the weekend, time spent in my craft room is often times a therapy session for me.  More often than not, my cards are created based off of my current state of mind, which was the case with today's card.  Exactly one year ago, my boys suffered the unexpected loss of one of their classmates, who was also the sister of one of their friends.  Even today, a year later, it is hard to put in to words how much my heart hurts for their family and everyone else who were effected by her passing.  I can't even begin to imagine the heartache they feel each and every day, but I pray that it becomes a little less with each passing day.  While their family is on my mind almost daily, they especially are today.  I choose yellow for the roses in hope of spreading warm feelings and friendship for all of those who will be missing her today.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Basic Black, Whisper White, Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clover, Botanical Butterfly DSP
Ink ~ VersaMark, Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clover

Other Supplies ~ Petals & More Thinlits, Black/Silver 1/4" Striped Metallic Ribbon, Well Written Framelits, Subtle Embossing Folder, Layered Leaves Embossing Folder

I LOVE all of the sentiments in the Part of My Story stamp set!  And being able to coordinate the Well Written Framelits with this particular sentiment just made me happy!

Next stop on the hop is my friend Cathy...I always love all of her awesome creations! Or if you want to hop backwards, you can hop on backwards to the amazingly talented Amy...her stamping style is amazing!  Thanks you for stopping by today!

Happy Stamping!

Hand Stamped Sketch Challenge #289

Good morning happy stampers!  I hope you had a great Monday and are ready to tackle Tuesday!  The amazing design team at Hand Stamped Sentiments has a great sketch to get your creativity off to a great start today.  What better way to start your Tuesday?!?!

Even though we celebrated Mother's Day last weekend with my momma, I still had a few more cards to make and used this great sketch to help get the job done.  I'm trying to use up all of the amazing Petal Passion DSP...but part of me wants to keep a few pieces too.  Does anyone else struggle with saying goodbye to some favorites when they retire?!?!
I made a few cards using different Stampin' Blend colors and different patterns of DSP.  I can't decide which one I like the most!

Paper ~ Basic Black, Whisper White, Petal Passion DSP, Gold Glimmer

Life is a Beautiful Thing

Hello stampers!  Happy Thursday to all of you.  We are one day closer to the weekend...yippee!!!  We are off to another baseball tournament this weekend, so it will be a busy one for us, but I've got my Paper Pumpkin kits packed up so I can create in between games!
My stamping time has been pretty limited this week with work, baseball practice/games and just life.  Sometimes I go crazy being this busy, but I know when my boys are grown and out of the house, I will miss all of it so much, so I do my best to embrace all of the chaos.
I did make some time to make a card for my dear Godmother who lost her beautiful sister to cancer last weekend.  I always struggle with sympathy cards, but as I was scanning through my stamp sets, this sentiment in the Colorful Seasons stamp set jumped out and me.  Life truly is a beautiful thing and you can never take one moment for granted.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Calypso Coral, Pink Pirouette, Velum, Petal Passion DSP
Ink ~ Calypso Coral, Tuxedo Black Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Old Olive, Calypso Coral, Pink Pirouette
Stamp Sets ~ Colorful Seasons, Petal Palette, Love What You Do
Other Supplies ~ Layering Ovals Framelits, Petals & More Thinlits, Iridescent Sequins

I am going to be sad when my package of the Petal Passion DSP is all gone...I love this beautiful paper!  And Pink Pirouette...I'm sad it's leaving, but I know there is a new pink coming that is so pretty!

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you have a fabulous day!

Happy Stamping!

Springtime Impressions ~ OnStage Las Vegas Display Samples

Happy Wednesday stampers!  I'm back with a couple more display samples from OnStage.  I had hoped to post yesterday, but baseball took over.  That's the story of my life right now, but I love every minute of it!

Today I am featuring the Springtime Impressions Thinlits.  I absolutely LOVE these!  The butterfly and the flowers are so delicate and beautiful!

For my first card, I cut a butterfly out of vellum and stamped a few Berry Burst spots using the watercolor stamps from the Love What You Do stamp set.  I added a splash of Lemon Lime Twist in the background, a few layers of color with cardstock and a simple sentiment.  Just like that, a quick AND beautiful card!
My second card is even more simple!  I used the corner flower thinlits over an embossed piece of basic black cardstock with the Simple Stripes EF for an easy and elegant card.  I am so happy Petal Palette stamp set is carrying over!  The sentiments are perfect for so many different occasions.

I still have a few more OnStage display samples to share, so be sure to check back later this week!

Happy Stamping!

Petal Palette Prayers

Hello stampers!  How is your weekend treating you so far?

Our Saturday has been a busy one, but I'm finally home and enjoying a little stamping time while my boys are burning off some energy outside before it gets dark.  You would think after soccer and basketball games that they would be tired, but they are still running around and giving me more gray hairs by climbing on top of our chicken coop...crazy boys!!!!!

In an effort to not lose my mind watching them from my office window, I decided to color the beautiful images from Petal Palette.  I swore I was done buying from the Occasions Catalog, but after seeing the beautiful card that Stesga Bloodhart made, I just HAD to get the set so I could CASE her creation!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Basic Black,  Calypso Coral,Petal Passion DSP
Ink ~ Memento, Stampin' Blends: Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party
Stamp Sets ~ Petal Palette, Colorful Seasons, Rose Wonder
Other Supplies ~ Petals & More Thinlits, Basic Rhinestone Jewels

Aren't the roses beautiful?  And the sentiments...they were just what I was needing for two special cards that need to be sent out this week.

I'm happy I had some time to make more than just a simple card today :-)  And even more thankful for warmer and longer days and for boys who love to be outside!  We are all counting down the days until summer break!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Happy Stamping
