Happy Monday stampin' friends!  I hope you all had a fabulous weekend and had a chance to celebrate World Card Making Day! 

It's the first Monday of the month, which means it's time for an all new color challenge over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration.  I love these soft colors...perfect for a pretty fall sympathy card.

I have had to make far too many sympathy cards lately.  These are always my least favorite to make, but I always hope that they will bring some friendship and comfort to those they are sent to.

Mystery Supply Exchange

The girls over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration are back this month with another Mystery Supply Exchange post and this one was just as much fun as last month!  What is a Mystery Supply Exchange post?  Each design team member that participates is give the name of another design team member and we are to send that person 3 items.  These items can be anything from paper to embellishments and everything in between!  Then we have to create something with the 3 items that we receive...so much fun!

I forgot to take a picture before I started creating this card, but Leanne of Literally my Joy sent me a piece of the English Garden DSP, some Melon Mambo buttons from the Brights Collection and a strip of the Natural Chevron Ribbon. I do not have any of the English Garden DSP, so I was super excited to create with it! Thanks Leanne!

Father's Day at Sea



Hooray!  We made it through another week and are on to the weekend!  Today is my older boys last day of school...they are so excited for summer break.   Even more so because one week from day we will be hitting the road for a little vacation to the beach.  We'll be there over Father's Day, so this weeks Friday Mashup gave me the chance to make the perfect Father's Day card.

This weeks challenge is to make a Father's Day card and mash it up by using Cajun Craze, Garden Green and Island Indigo.

I wasn't sure that I could make these colors work together, but once I started stamping with The Open Sea, it all came together!

Happy {New Catalog} Tuesday!!!  It's time for a new Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge and I LOVE this color combo!

This isn't a new stamp set, but one that I am very happy made the cut in the new catalog.  I'm not a huge fan of the flower stamps, but this is one of my favorites!

Mother's Day Happiness

Made it through Monday...Happy Tuesday!  It's time for an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge and this week it's a pretty sketch!

 

I still have a few more Mother's Day cards to get done and thought this sketch would be perfect  I kind of flipped mine over a bit, but it still works :-)  And I have no idea what was going on with my lighting, but my Pistachio Pudding looks like Lucky Limeade (yes...I still miss that color!)

Kind Thoughts

Well, we've almost made it though the work week...one more day and we get to enjoy the weekend!  I don't know about you, but this week has kicked my booty, so I am happy to see the weekend just around the corner!

Once again, I had to make some sympathy cards...I never seem to have these on hand when I need them.  Losing a loved one is never easy, but my hope is that the cards I send out bring a little happiness to the person I am sending it to.

I have been {happily} playing with all of my new stamps and paper, but decided to put out some of my older favorites.

Choose Happiness

Hi friends!  Made it through another manic Monday and on to a new day!  Life has been pretty crazy and stressful for me the past few weeks and I was letting it get the best of me.  But then I read an amazing post from Shelli at So-Shelli yesterday and kind of had a reality check of my own.  Life is too short to let little stresses weigh you down!  And not only was I inspired by Shelli's words, but also by her stamping at convention with the Choose Happiness stamp set.  With her words in mind and some creative inspiration too, I pulled out my paper, stamps and ink and got to work.

Being that's it's Tuesday, it means it's time for Techinque Tuesday at SSINK.  Today we are stamping with embossing folders!!!  We all know that embossing folders are a great way to add some texture to your cards, but did you know that they make a great background stamp as well?

I used the embossing folder to stamp the little Kraft pennants too...love how it gives it just a little added color!
