Faith and Confetti

Coming home from vacation is always a big bummer!  The fun is over and there is always so much to catch up on!  Endless amounts of laundry and yard work took up a better part of my weekend, but I did manage to get in a little stamping time.

I received an order just before leaving and I could not wait to get back home and play with the super cute Playing with Patterns Suite.  I absolutely LOVE all of the colors in the Playing with Patterns DSP!  I'm defiantly going to need more!

I decided to pair up Ridiculously Awesome with this fun DSP, inking up my favorite sentiment of the stamp set.  Let your Faith be bigger than your Fear...SO GOOD! I heat embossed the sentiment on Costal Cabana and again on Night of Navy which I fussy cut the word Faith to add just a bit more color.  The hearts were stamped in VersaMark on Purple Posey...I love that little trick!  The cute little Playing with Patterns Resin Dots were a fun addition.

Next up is a quick and easy paper scrap card, which is great when you have a pack of DSP that you love and can't decide which pattern to use! I cut a few of my favorites in different widths and lengths, added a quick heat embossed sentiment with a few stamped polka dots and wrapped it all up with a little Night of Navy Playing with Patterns Ribbon.

Sending Summer Sunshine ~ #tgifc270 Theme Challenge

Summer is here and we are celebrating it at TGIF Challenges this week!  Join us in our Summer Vibes Theme challenge...we can't wait to see what you create!

My family kicked off the first week of summer with some HEAT...100+ degree heat in Zion.  It was an amazing trip and we had so much fun!  I mean, it's ALWAYS fun when I'm with my BFF Wendy!

When I think of summer, I think of cold, juicy pineapple!  I lived off of this fruit when I was pregnant with my youngest...so good.  My favorite stamp in the Cute Fruit stamp set is the pineapple!

I created a bright watercolor background using the cool new Water Painters and Watercolor Paper...it's like a splash of summer!  The cute sentiment comes from this months Box of Sunshine Paper Pumpkin kit.  It was absolutely perfect for this theme challenge!  The rectangle frame was a little too blah, so I added a few splatters with my Mango Melody Stampin' Write Marker.  It's such a fun technique!

Cherished Friend ~ Hand Stamped Sentiments

Happy Tuesday stampers!

Welcome to an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge.  We have a colorful challenge for you to play along with today.

I decided to ink up Lovely You again.  I wasn't if I could make this set work with these shades of blue/green, but I was happily surprised to see just how pretty it turned out.

I stamped the flowers and leaves in a random pattern, adding a few fussy cut pieces and a simple little sentiment.  I punched a Whisper White label using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch, then added the fussy cut sentiment that I heat embossed on Bermuda Bay.

A few little rhinestones and this pretty card is complete!

Peony Thoughts ~ Monday Montage

Welcome to an all new Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won't want to miss a single creation from this amazing group of stampers!
Hello from Utah!  It took us two days of travel, but we made it to Rockville, UT to hang out with our very own Wend Weixler! I am so excited to spend a few days with her exploring Zion!  Hopefully we will get in a little stamping time together as well!
I got a new box of stamps and paper a couple days before we left and had just enough time to put this beauty together.  When I saw the Peony Garden suite, I knew it was one that I had to have.  I LOVE peonies...so much that I just planted two more in my yard this year!

The subtle colors in the Peony Garden DSP are gorgeous.  I chose two of the Smoky Slate patterns of DSP to layer, then added the largest peony image colored in Petal Pink and Soft Sea Foam for just the right amount of soft color.   
 
The Elegant Faceted Gems provided just the right amount of bing.  I can already tell I will be needing more of these elegant embellishments!

Celebrating All of the Dad's

Father's Day is tomorrow, but we celebrated a little early as we are headed out of town for a long overdue vacation!  I'm a little sad I won't be with my dad on Sunday, but I am so happy we were able to celebrate early.

Once again, the World of Good suite is coming through to help create a great card!  By adding "Dad" to this sentiment, I had the perfect Father's Day card.

I love all of the rich colors in the World of Good Specialty DSP.  And the Old World Paper Embossing Folder is SO AMAZING!  The texture it adds is the best!  After embossing the map pattern of DSP, I tore the edges and sponged a little Soft Suede them.  I love how it turned out.

The World Map dies in this suite are stunning! There is so much you can do with this entire suite.
