Spring is Coming!

Happy March and happy Friday!  We have an all new TGIF Challenges Color Challenge that is full of springtime fun!

I pulled out the adorable Easter Bunny stamp set and paired it up with the Lighter Than Air DSP...they worked together beautifully for this challenge!

I love this little bunny surrounded by some sweet springtime flowers.  I opted for the friend sentiment with the intent of sending this card to a friend soon to brighten their day!

When I first started creating the first card, I stamped both bunnies and just had to give the second one a card of its own!  I had some extra flowers colored and cut, which were perfect to go around the neck of this fluffy little one.  Some fresh cut grass and a few hidden eggs helped to make a super sweet Easter card!
We still have some snow in our forecast, but I'm hoping that the weatherman is incorrect.  We are all more than ready for spring!

Hop on over to TGIF Challenges to see what the rest of the team has to share this week!

Happy Stamping!

Fresh (as a) Daisy Friendship

The Monday Montage crew is back with an all new hop for all of you to enjoy!  No matter where you start, be sure to hop on all the way through so you don't miss a single amazing creation by this talented group of stampers!

I'll be honest, I was not drawn to the Fresh as a Daisy Suite at first.  But over time it has grown on me and now that I've had the opportunity to create a few projects with it, I love it!

I selected this beautiful pattern of Fresh As a Daisy DSP and fussy cut around the tops of the beautiful white daisies.  I added some texture with one of the awesome Basics 3D embossing folders to go behind the fussy cut DSP.
Next came some cheerful die-cut Daisies, layered to add a little more fluff to the flowers!  I pulled out the Copper Clay ink pad for the first time for the sentiment...the only stamping required for this card!  A few Boho Blue In Color Dots and a Boho Blue Textured Ribbon finished the card off.

Now it's on to the next stop of the hop!
Happy Stamping!

Forever Fern Friendship ~ #HSSCC375

It's Tuesday and time for an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge!  I absolutely love this color combination!

I pulled out Forever Fern again to ink up in these gorgeous colors!  I cut a panel of Misty Moonlight and stamped a few of the splatter images around the edge and die-cut a couple of the larger leaves as well.

Some of the other plant images were inked up in Rich Razzleberry and Smoky Slate, then die-cut with the coordinating Forever Flourishing dies.  A Basic White circle was die-cut and stamped with some Smoky Slate leaves, then topped of with a heat embossed sentiment on a Rich Razzleberry circle.  Do you spot the little bits of bakers twine behind the sentiment circle?
A little extra texture was added to a piece of Basic White with the beautiful Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder.  Can you believe I didn't even add any embellishments?!?  That almost NEVER happens when I'm creating!

I hope you'll join along with this weeks challenge.  We always love to see what you create!

Happy Stamping!

Friends That Make You Smile ~ Monday Montage

Hello and welcome to another Monday Montage Blog Hop!

We interrupt this Mini Catalog season for a visit to the Annual Catalog.  I am guilty of getting so wrapped up in the Mini Catalog that I often neglect all of the beauty the Annual Catalog has to offer!
The Pattern Party DSP is probably my favorite pack of paper...EVER!  I love all of the bright and cheerful patterns on one side, but the black and white patterns on the flip side are the BEST!  I've been on a fall creativity kick the past few weeks and was drawn to the black and white leaf pattern.

In an effort to keep things simple, I die cut the large leafy image from the Forever Flourishing die from a piece of Gold Metallic Specialty Paper.  I stamped the sweet sentiment from Forever Fern in Memento, adding just a bit of black Baker's Twine behind.  A single strip of Gold Fine Art Ribbon and some gold Brushed Metallic Dots were the perfect amount of gold to bring everything together.

I love it when a card just comes together without too much thought.  And today's card was a good reminder that simple is often times so much better!

Be sure to keep on hopping and see what the rest of my Monday Montage friends have for you!  You will not be disappointed!

Happy Stamping!

Cherished Friend ~ Hand Stamped Sentiments

Happy Tuesday stampers!
Welcome to an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge.  We have a colorful challenge for you to play along with today.
I decided to ink up Lovely You again.  I wasn't if I could make this set work with these shades of blue/green, but I was happily surprised to see just how pretty it turned out.
I stamped the flowers and leaves in a random pattern, adding a few fussy cut pieces and a simple little sentiment.  I punched a Whisper White label using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch, then added the fussy cut sentiment that I heat embossed on Bermuda Bay.
A few little rhinestones and this pretty card is complete!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Bermuda Bay, Whisper White
Ink ~ Bermuda Bay, Mint Macaron, Pool Party, VersaMark
Stamp Set ~ Lovely You
Other Supplies ~ Lovely Labels Pick a Punch, Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels

I hope you will play along with us this week!  We love to see what you are inspired to create!

Forever Friends ~ Hand Stamped Sentiments #339

Here we are again with an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge!  This week we have a pretty Color Challenge for you.  I don't know about you, but I am so thankful for these challenges to keep me busy during our continue quarantine!
I broke out my Aqua Painters for this card...something I need to do more often!  I love to watercolor as much as I love to color.  I just love these cute rain boots and happy little flowers!
I created a fun background by doing a watercolor wash, then stamping the tiny little raindrops in Seaside Spray.  The flowers were done in Mint Macaron, Seaside Spray and Rocco Rose.  Wondering where that pretty shade of purple came from?!?  That's the beautiful combination of Seaside Spray and Rocco Rose!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Seaside Spray, Basic Black, Watercolor
Ink ~ VersaMark, Mint Macaron, Seaside Spray, Rocco Rose, Soft Suede
Stamp Set ~ Under My Umbrella
Other Supplies ~ White Embossing Powder, Whisper White Crinkle Seam Binding Ribbon, March 2020 Paper Pumpkin Raindrop Embellishments, Subtle Embossing Folder

I hope you will join along in the fun with this weeks challenge.  We always love to see what everyone is creating!

Friendship Blessings

Happy Labor Day friends!  Today we honor all of the working people, especially those who are working while others, like myself, who have the day off.   I may have the day off from my paying job, but I will be putting in some work at home today with my boys as we prepare our chicken coop for some new chicks!
But before we get to work, a little stamping time was a must! I snuck in just enough time to play along with Freshly Made Sketches 400th Sketch Challenge.
I love the sample of To A Wild Rose on page 140 of the Annual Catalog.  The black and white with just a pop of color, along with this great sketch, inspired today's creation.
I was once again reminded that I forgot to add the Wide Rose dies to my order when I ordered this stamp set.  It's a good thing I love to fussy cut though!
Doesn't the Layered Leaves 3D embossing folder go so well with this stamp set?  It gave this card just the right amount of texture!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Ink ~ Memento, Daffodil Delight, So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz
Stamp Set ~ To A Wild Rose
Other Supplies ~ Layered Leaves 3D Embossing Folder, Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins

I have just a bit more time to sneak in some stamping before I have to wake my kiddos up and get to work...I'm going to take full advantage of it!

Have a great day!

Happy Stamping!

Sweetly Swirled Friendship ~ HSSIC#319

Hello and happy Tuesday stampers!  It's time for an all new Hand Stamped Sentments Challenge and this week we have a beautiful inspiration challenge for you to play along with!
I got a new box of stamps and supplies last week, which included the adorable Sweetly Swirled stamp set.  The pretty wreath in the inspiration photo was just the inspiration I needed to pull this stamp set out to create my own wreath.
The shiplap couldn't be ignored either!  The Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder worked perfectly for creating a faux shiplap background for this card.

I am loving this beautiful color combination too!  Terracotta Tile is quickly becoming a new favorite.  It goes so well with so many other colors!

I stamped the swirly circle image as well as a few flowers and leaves, then fussy cut around the stamped images to create my wreath.  I added a few more fussy cut flowers to give the wreath a little bit of dimension and finished off the card with a simple "FRIEND".  This is a great card to send to a friend for any occasion!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Terracotta Tile
Ink ~ Gray Granite, Petal Pink, Grapefruit Grove, Terracotta Tile, Soft Sea Foam, Granny Apple Green, Soft Suede
Stamp Set ~ Sweetly Swirled
Other Supplies ~ Well Written Dies, Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder, 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dots

I'm going to try to sneak in a little more stamp time this morning before I have to get back to work setting up for our yard sale this weekend.  I dread doing this, but it's always nice to clean out the house and it's always great to have a few extra dollars for back to school shopping for the kiddos!

Be sure to join in the fun and show us how you were inspired to create!

Have a great week!

Happy Stamping!

Birds of a Friendship

Happy Tuesday stampers!  It's time for an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge.  This week we have a soft and calming color challenge for you to play along with.

I once again turned to these adorable little birdies who look so cute colored in Petal Pink.  Mint Macaron and Calypso Coral worked so well for the leaves and flowers in this stamp as well...love it!
Many of you may know that I don't travel without at least a few stamping supplies.  I stamped these cute little birds before we headed out of town for my twins baseball tournament last weekend, then colored and cut them out while my youngest and one of the other baseball siblings swam in the campground pool.  It was a win for all of us!
I love, love, love these new Stitched Nested Labels!  The stitching is so delicate and they cut both a negative AND positive image...so cool!  I used the Layered Leaves Textured Impressions Embossing folder, which ties in with the leaves in the stamp so well.

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Mint Macaron, Petal Pink, Whipser White
Ink ~ Calypso Coral, Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Petal Pink, Mint Macaron, Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake
Stamp Set ~ Free as a Bird
Other Supplies ~ Stitched Nested Labels

I'm off to fuel myself with coffee...I had a house full of boys last night and they wore me out!  Gotta love the summer sleepovers!

Have a fantastic day!

Happy Stamping!

Blessed To Be Your Friend

Happy Monday stampers!  Did you find any time to create this weekend?  I know everyone is beginning to receive their boxes of new Annual Catalog products and I'm super excited to see what everyone gets!
I'm still stamping with some of my pre-order items, but have a box of new goodies coming my way this week....I can't wait!
Those who attended OnStage back in April got to see the beautiful To A Wild Rose bundle demonstrated.  It was a must have for me!  The images and sentiments are gorgous!
It took me a couple tries to find the right color combination with this Two-Step stamp set, but once I found it, I was so happy with the finished result.  Rococo Rose and Petal Pink for the WIN!  I stamped the rose image twice and cut the center of the bloom out to give the flower a bit more dimension.  This is one of my favorite techniques with floral images!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Petal Pink
Ink ~ Petal Pink, Rococo Rose, Pear Pizzazz
Stamp Set ~ To A Wild Rose
Other Supplies ~ Woven Threads Sequins, Stitched Rectangles, Stitched Nested Labels

This sentiment couldn't be more perfect for a card to send to a dear friend this week.  I truly am blessed to have her in my life!

Here's to a great start to the week!

Happy Stamping!

Daisies and Birch

Hello stampers!  I just wasn't quite ready to put away my Daisy Lane and Birch background stamps...these two sets are a match made in stampin' heaven!
I am showcasing these two stamp sets in my class this week and wanted a couple of other samples to show my customers all of the beautiful images and sentiments.
My stamp class attendees range from the very beginner stamper to the avid stamper, so I often times provide two samples from them to choose from.  One simple version and one that's a bit more advanced.  Providing two samples keeps my avid stampers from getting bored with some of the more basic designs and allows my beginner stampers to not feel overwhelmed.  I always love it when my beginner stampers begin to move towards the avid stamper sample and find that they do have it in them to step things up a bit!

Other than using a couple of different punches, the first sample is nothing more than ink, paper and stamps...and a little bit of heat embossing.  Heat embossing is always a fun technique to introduce new stampers to...it's so magical!
My second sample is stepped up a bit with a couple of fussy cut ferns and some added ribbon.  With the beautiful Birch background stamp, you really don't need anything else!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Mango Melody, Whisper White
Ink ~ Gray Granite, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Versa Mark
Stamp Sets ~ Daisy Lane, Birch
Other Supplies ~ Tailored Tag Punch, Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon, White Embossing Powder

I did fussy cut the center of the daisy on both samples.  In my classes, I will offer to help my beginner stampers cut any images that they may not feel ready to take on their own yet.  Once they see how easy it is, they are quick to take over!

Have a great day!

Happy Stamping!

Fall Friendship {Sheltering} Tree

We have had a picture perfect fall where I live...it's been warmer than normal and we've had lots of sunshine.  I'm soaking up all the sunshine I can and loving the beautiful fall trees because I know it will all be gone soon, replaced with gloomy skies and cold.
Today we are focusing on the Sheltering Tree stamp set over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration.  This is one of my favorite stamp sets...you can make beautiful cards for any occasion with this set.
The pretty trees and falling leaves were my inspiration...
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Soft Suede, Old Olive, Whisper White, Into the Woods DSP, Gold Glimmer Paper, Window Sheet
Ink ~ Soft Suede, Tangelo Twist, Crushed Curry, Old Olive
Stamp Set ~ Sheltering Tree
Other Supplies ~ Metallic Sequins, Square Box Pillow Framelits (leaves)

It was fun making this into a shaker card...you can really make the leaves fall when you shake it up :-)

Be sure to check out the rest of the design team Sheltering Tree creations today...you are sure to be INKspired!
