Thoughtful Butterfly ~ FMU 199

Happy Friday friends!!!  I am so thankful to have made it through this week!  A nasty virus has passed through our house over the past two weeks and this week we ALL had it...yuck!  Myself and the kiddos are finally on the mend, but my hubby is down with the worst of it now...NOT fun!

I happily escaped the madness at night after the kiddos went to bed and stamped away some of my sickness...stamping really is the greatest therapy!

Today I am sharing my Friday Favorite over at SSINK in combination with this weeks Friday Mashup Challenge.  This weeks Mashup challenge is to create a project with an antique style, element or theme or a project using the Embossed Embossing Technique (check out FMU) for a tutorial. 

I went with just the antique style for today's card...this pattern from the Typset DSP has an antique feel to it...as does the lace trim...{swoon}.

It's Your Day

After seeing all of the awesome Big on You creations over at SSINK this morning, I could not wait to get down to my craft room and ink up this stamp set for the first time!  This was the first set that I fell in love with when the 2015 Occasions Catalog came out.  So why in the heck did I take so long to ink it up?!?!?  I LOVE this stamp set!

This pretty card is going to a pretty special friend and co-worker today as she celebrates her birthday!  When ever I send a birthday card, or any card for that matter, I always write on a sticky note to put on the inside of the card...this way, they can send the card on to someone else at a later date if they need to :-)  Kind of makes the card a special gift!

If I Know What Love Is...



Welcome back to Monday Montage!!!  We are back with another fabulous hop and I'm glad you are here with us!

 

I spent a better part of my weekend taking care of sick kiddos and disinfecting my house...not the best way to spend the weekend, but I have a super clean house now and kids that are slowly on the mend, so that's a bonus!  Plus we had sunshine all weekend long....YES!!!  It's still cold, but I will take the cold sun-shiny days over the cold dreary days any day!  I had to tear myself away from my front porch to head in to my craft room to stamp a bit this afternoon. 

 

I've been {slowly} working on the Build a Boquet Project Kit and still have all of my stamps from the coordinating stamp set out, so I decided I try them out on a card.  I love the brush stroke look of these flowers...
