Celebrate Independence Day

Happy 4th of July stampers!  Do you have any fun-filled plans for today?

I'll fill you in on our amazing plans in just a bit.  But first, I have a festive card to share with you!  In honor of Independence Day, I have a fun card to share with you today.  A few weeks ago I saw this painting on Pinterest and was inspired to pull out my Waterfront stamp set.  I have seen several other similar cards as well...I love all of our creative minds!

Supplies Used:

Paper ~ Blueberry Bushel, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer
Ink ~ Blueberry Bushel, Lovely Lipstick, Memento, VersaMark
Stamp Set ~ Waterfront
Other Supplies ~ Celebrate You Thinlits, White Embossing Powder

I LOVE the Waterfront stamp set!  I have seen so many amazing creations!

Today is guaranteed to be a fun day of celebrating our country's independence!  My stampin' BFF, the amazing Wendy Weixler, and her hubby flew in yesterday in their awesome Clifford plane for a little visit for the holiday.  Wendy and I are kicking the day off with a little fun outdoor Jazzercise class and will then head over to my parents for their annual neighborhood 4th of July parade.  Kids decorate their bikes, scooters and strollers and wear their favorite red, white and blue clothes and parade through the neighborhood.  The local Union fire truck leads the parade and we have ice cold popsicles for the kiddos at the end...so much fun!

We are also gearing up for a big bbq later this evening.  Lots of family and friends will join us for a night of back yard baseball, hide and seek and, of course, fireworks at the end of the night.  This is our second year hosting a party for the 4th of July and I can't wait for everyone to get here!  It fills my heart to the very top having a yard full of so many amazing people and making fun memories!

Wishing you all a very safe and Happy 4th of July!

4th of July ~ Wreath of Roses

Happy Tuesday stampin' friends!  The girls over at SSINK are kicking off the 4th of July festivities a few days early.  Be sure to check out the rest of the INKspiring 4th of July creations from our awesome design team.

I saw a wreath a few weeks ago in a home décor store and fell in love with, but wasn't willing to pay $50 for it when I knew I could make it myself!   Knowing that we had a vacation coming up, I thought this would be the perfect project to take along with me.  I cut out a bazillion roses (not that many, but it sure felt like it!) and I spent a better part of our vacation travel time curling all of the roses.  (Those of you who know me know that I hate to travel and almost always bring some sort of crafting project with me to occupy my time.)  Once we got to our beach house, I got to work gluing all of the rosettes together and adding them to the wreath.  This went MUCH quicker than I thought it would!

The supplies are simple for this project...
Real Red, Night of Navy, Whisper White and Silver Glimmer Paper
Stars Framelits, Spiral Flower Original
Foam Wreath, Hot Glue

I am so happy with how this turned out and can't wait to hang it on my front door at home.  I may even make a couple of other mini projects with the left over rosettes I have...or I may just play on the beach and enjoy the {cooler} sunny weather!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Stamping!

Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July friends!  I hope you have something fun and festive planned for today!  My family is kicking off the day with our annual neighborhood parade and then we're off to the 4th of July in the Park...tons of fun vendors, food, games and lots more.  We'll wrap up our day with a big family taco feed and fireworks.  I LOVE the 4th of July!
Some of the amazing design team members over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration love the 4th of July too and are sharing their festive creations with us today.  Be sure to check all of them out...they are awesome!
I had some left over items from the June 2014 My Paper Pumpkin and didn't want them to go to waste, so I put them to use in today's card.  I cut the pinwheel paper down to 3"x3" so it fit a little better on the card and turned one of the paper straws into a firework.  What do you think?!?!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Night of Navy, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, June 2014 My Paper Pumpkin DSP
Ink ~ Real Red
Stamp Set ~ June 2014 My Paper Pumpkin, Be the Star
Other Supplies ~ Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder

I used this weeks Freshly Made Sketches sketch for this card and was totally inspired by Rita's card this week!

I hope you all have a safe and fabulous 4th of July!

Stars and Stripes and Pinwheels

Hi friends!!!  It's almost the 4th of July and I am so excited!  This is one of my favorite holidays!  Spending time with family, baseball games, swimming and of course, fireworks, always make for an awesome time!  We'll be kicking off the holiday weekend tonight with our boys by heading to another Sweets baseball game.  We haven't told the kiddos yet, but there will be a firework show after the game...shhh!!!  :-)  It's sure to be a fun night!
Not only do I love all of the fun festivities that come with the 4th of July, but I love decorating for it too!  June's My Paper Pumpkin has been my favorite so far.  PERFECT for 4th of July decorating....and so much more!
I LOVE the DSP for the pinwheels in this kit...I wish we could get more in full sheets!  I cut out a few stars from some leftover pinwheel paper to create the little star garland...yep, I sewed again!  I'm getting a little better each time ;-)  I cut out a few stars as well and attached them to the super cute paper straws that came in the kit...perfect!  Cut some thin strips of paper, crumpled them up and stuck them inside the bucket.  Added a couple little banners that were a part of the kit and this fun and festive creation was complete!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Silver Glimmer Paper, Night of Navy, Real Red, Whisper White, June 2014 My Paper Pumpkin
Ink ~ Night of Navy, Real Red
Stamp Set ~ June 2014 My Paper Pumpkin
Other Supplies ~ Stars Framelits

I can't wait to see what this months My Paper Pumpkin kit contains...it's like Christmas every month!  Haven't signed up yet?  What are you waiting for?!?!?  Click HERE to subscribe....lots of new options to fit your needs!
