Daisies and Birch

Hello stampers!  I just wasn't quite ready to put away my Daisy Lane and Birch background stamps...these two sets are a match made in stampin' heaven!
I am showcasing these two stamp sets in my class this week and wanted a couple of other samples to show my customers all of the beautiful images and sentiments.
My stamp class attendees range from the very beginner stamper to the avid stamper, so I often times provide two samples from them to choose from.  One simple version and one that's a bit more advanced.  Providing two samples keeps my avid stampers from getting bored with some of the more basic designs and allows my beginner stampers to not feel overwhelmed.  I always love it when my beginner stampers begin to move towards the avid stamper sample and find that they do have it in them to step things up a bit!

Other than using a couple of different punches, the first sample is nothing more than ink, paper and stamps...and a little bit of heat embossing.  Heat embossing is always a fun technique to introduce new stampers to...it's so magical!
My second sample is stepped up a bit with a couple of fussy cut ferns and some added ribbon.  With the beautiful Birch background stamp, you really don't need anything else!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Mango Melody, Whisper White
Ink ~ Gray Granite, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Versa Mark
Stamp Sets ~ Daisy Lane, Birch
Other Supplies ~ Tailored Tag Punch, Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon, White Embossing Powder

I did fussy cut the center of the daisy on both samples.  In my classes, I will offer to help my beginner stampers cut any images that they may not feel ready to take on their own yet.  Once they see how easy it is, they are quick to take over!

Have a great day!

Happy Stamping!

Soaring Thank You ~ Monday Montage

Welcome back to Monday Montage!!!  We have another fabulous hop in store for you this week!  Make sure you click on the links below so you don't miss any of the creations...we promise you will love them all!

I am still creating with the Hugs From Shelli Paper Pumpkin kit...this is by far one of my very favorites!!!  I love all of the fun patterns of the card fronts.  And did you notice a NEW color in this kit?  Pretty Peacock is absolutely gorgeous!!!
I cut down one of the card fronts and tore along the bottom edge of it, then layered it on top of a torn piece of Crumb Cake card stock.  I love this technique to give a project some added texture.  I also stamped some of the pretty feathers on a strip of Pretty Peacock and topped it off with a couple of fussy cut feathers, velvet ribbon and cute little bird embellishment included in the kit.  The soaring birds were stamped in Pretty Peacock and Balmy Blue then fussy cut and add to the circle cut from the back of one of the note cards that I used in one of my alternative Paper Pumpkin projects last week.

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Pretty Peacock
Ink ~ Pretty Peacock, Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake
Stamp Set ~ Hugs From Shelli Paper Pumpkin Kit
Other Supplies ~ Hugs from Shelli Paper Pumpkin Kit Embellishments

Next stop on the hop is my creative friend Cathy...I always love all of her awesome creations! Or if you want to hop backwards, you can hop on backwards to the wickedly wonderful Wendy...I just love her!

#TGIFC214 - Create a Set

Hello stamping friends and welcome to an all new TGIF Challenges!  This week, our amazing team is creating sets of cards with some of our favorite stamp sets.

It has been another busy week in my house, so keeping things simple was my focus for the cards I'm sharing today.  The 2019-2020 Annual Catalog is just days away from going live and one of my favorite stamp sets is A Good Man. The images and sentiments in this stamp set make my heart happy.
I love that these images can pretty much stand alone with just a little color...perfect for some quick and simple cards!
This image and sentiment seriously made my eyes leak...it's perfect for my hubby, dad of 3 boys!

And this guy...don't you just want to set up a chair next to him and spend the day relaxing too?  This would be great as a Father's Day card, Birthday card, Retirement card...so many occasions!

Annnnddddd....my eyes are leaking again!  Any Daddy's girls out there?  I am an only child and my relationship with my dad is pretty special.  This image totally hit ALL of the emotions!

Sometimes simple is better...

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink ~ Memento, Stampin' Blends {in just about every color available!}
Stamp Set ~ A Good Man

Hugs From Shelli ~ A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop

Hello stampers!  I am so excited to welcome you to this months A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop featuring the beautiful kit, Hugs From Shelli.  This months kit is a true example of Shelli's style, which I absolutely love! We have a fabulous hop with some AMAZING alternatives for you...don't miss a single stop!
Image may contain: text
Those of us who attended OnStage back in April got a sneak peek at this months kit and it was love at first sight for me!  You can imagine how excited I was when I received the full kit in my mail box and discovered all of the beautiful goodness inside!
For  my card, I fussy cut the nest from one of the note cards, reserving the backside for a layer on the new card front.  I added some color to the leaves nest and eggs with Stampin' Blends.  I also cut the card front of the pretty pink floral note card to use as another layer.  I added a few of the embellishments from the kit and added a beautiful sentiment.

I just love this little nest!  We have several nests in our trees this year, which have been full of baby birds.  So cute!

My next alternative project is a simple little sour cream container I created by  adhering two card fronts together and cut it down to a 5x5 square. A quick topper was made using the beautiful feather embellishments and gorgeous ribbon.  I added just a bit of Gold Metallic Thread and tied them all together with the Linen Thread provided in the kit.  These were clipped on with one of our cute Library Clips for an adorable little treat box.

If you haven't subscribed to Paper Pumpkin yet, what are you waiting for?!?!  These kits are amazing month after month and you will not regret finding them in your mail box each month!

Don't miss a single stop on our hop!  It is full of so much amazing, inspiring and creative alternative projects that you will absolutely love!
