Mini Weenie Birthday

Happy, Happy Friday friends!!!  I don't know about you, but this week has flown by and it has been BUSY!  I'd like to say I have a quiet weekend ahead of me, but it is packed FULL of things going on.  'Tis the season, right?
I did manage to sneak in a little stamping time this week and one of the cards I made was for my good friend Kerri who will be celebrating her birthday tomorrow.  She has the cutest little Mini Weenie puppy, Wiffle, and I just LOVE him.  So naturally, I had to pull out my cute little stamp set with a weenie puppy :)
I knew I wanted to have some balloons wrapped around the little pup and the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches was the perfect layout for what I had in mind.  Thanks for a fun sketch Jen!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Bermuda Bay, Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit, Gumball Green, Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White, Birthday Basics DSP
Ink ~ Bermuda Bay, Crisp Cantaloupe, Summer Starfruit, Gunball Green
Stamp Sets ~ Gorgeous Grunge, Yippie-Skippie, Come All Ye Faithful (papertreyink)
Other Supplies ~ 3/4" Circle Punch, Owl Punch, Whisper White Bakers Twine, Crisp Cantaloupe Ruffle Stretch Trim

My apologizes for the fuzzy picture...I take my pictures outside and it is soooo cold here!  My camera lens kept fogging up :(

I hope you all have a wonderful Friday and an even better weekend!!

I Freakin' LOVE Monstermaniac ~ HSS 171

Happy friends!  It's Tuesday and that means it's time for another Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge!  This week we have a sketch for you to play with!  So grab a cup of coffee, some paper, stamps & ink and join in the fun :-)

Paper ~ Old Olive, Whisper White, Brights DSP Stack
Ink ~ StazOn, Bermuda Bay, Old Olive, Melon Mambo
Stamp Sets ~ Monstermaniacs, Yippee-Skippee (MDS)

I wanted to use this cute sentiment from Yippee-Skippee, but I was too lazy to get out my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line things up just right.  Sooooo...MDS to the rescue!  In just a couple of clicks, I had the sentiment just the way I wanted it and I was all ready to stamp my cute little monster!  If you haven't seen the full Monstermanics stamp set, you MUST!!!  They are all so cute!!!

Never Underestimate...

...the POWER of TWO!
This sassy little sentiment kept popping into my head yesterday as my hubby and I ran the Run or Dye race together.  (Please tell me I'm not the only one who is always thinking in Stampin' Up! colors and sentiments!!!)  With our busy schedules, my husband and I never get to run together, so when we are able to find a fun race and BOTH have a day off, it's always a special treat.  We both had a blast!
All of the colored powder that was thrown at us inspired my card this morning...which I will leave for my hubby when I head off to Convention on Wednesday.  (Oh my!  It's getting soooo close!!!)

I apologize for the "grainy" photo...my phone case still has a some color powder in it!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Smoky Slate, Whisper White
Ink ~ Melon Mambo, Pacific Point, Gumball Green, Crushed Curry
Stamp Sets ~ Yippee-Skippee, Positively Chevron
Other Supplies ~ Cute Clips, Sponge Daubers, Owl Punch (heart)

I have to say, it felt good to create this morning...even if it was a quick and easy card!  Now it's back to my swaps...I WILL finish them today!

Happy Stamping!

Chevrons Squared

Happy Friday!  I hope you all had a safe and Happy 4th!  I'm stuck working today while my hubby and the rest of the family have the day off...boo!  At least I can haul my laptop outside and work while they all play.
I took full advantage of my early morning quiet time today and had some fun with the latest Stampin' Celebration inspiration challenge...chevrons!  I don't know about you, but I love anything with a chevron pattern on it, so I was exited to ink up some rubber and create!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Coastal Cabana, Whisper White
Ink ~ Coastal Cabana, Calypso Coral, Smoky Slate, Pear Pizazz, Wisteria Wonder
Stamp Sets ~ Positively Chevron, Yippee-Skippee
Other Supplies ~ Square Collection Framelits

Don't you just love the new square framelits? With the new magnetic platform, they are so easy to use!  Speaking of the magnetic platform, everyone loves that too...so much that it is on back order for a bit.  But sit tight, orders will be shipping as soon as possible!

I hope all of you aren't stuck working like me today and get to enjoy a nice, long weekend.  But if you are working, here's to a speedy day!!!

Awesome...

That pretty much sums up our weekend!  It was the first weekend in a long time that we didn't have a million things going on and we had nothing but FUN all weekend long!  Sure makes Monday's a whole lot more bearable when you aren't totally exhausted from a busy weekend.
What else makes Monday's nice?  Mojo MondayJulee has a fun design for us this week to celebrate the 300th Challenge.  How AWESOME is that?!?!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, Pool Party Core-dinations, Etcetera DSP
Ink ~ Old Olive, Pool Party, Night of Navy
Stamp Sets ~ Clockworks, Simply Stars, Yippee-Skippee
Other Supplies ~ Chevron Embossing Folder, Circle Collection Framelits

I love the grungy, distressed look of the Etcetera DSP...seems to be my favorite stamping styles as of late.  Grungy-fun!

Hope you all had an AWESOME weekend and have an AMAZING week too!

Happy Stamping!

No Freakin' Way!!!

Ever get a phone call that totally makes your day?  Well, I sure did yesterday!!!  My hubby and I had made plans to go out for a long overdue date night, but he got called out for work...boo :( So, I was a little bit bummed for the rest of the day...until I saw I had a missed call from Utah!  At first I thought, "Oh, it's just that darn telemarketer calling me again to see how my cat food shopping experience was".  But then as I listened to the message, I found out it was Amy from Stampin' Up!  And she had some AMAZING news for me!  I've been selected as one of the 20 Artisan Design Team finalists...No Freakin' Way!!!!!

It's a good thing she had to leave me a message instead of talking to me because I was jumping up and down, squealing like a little girl as I listened!  My youngest started jumping up and down with me and one of my 7 year olds came running in asking "what the heck happened?!??!".  After I managed to calm myself down a bit, I called Amy back to thank her for the phone call.  Then I called my BFF (twin-brain-sister-friend-crafting partner in crime) and all of my other super close friends to share the exciting news.  (I called my hubby too, but he was in the middle of horrid traffic trying to get a patient to the hospital, so we weren't really able to talk.)

When I decided to submit my projects and application for the Artisan Design Team, I NEVER thought I would make it as a finalist!  There are so many talented and well deserved artists who entered and I am honored to have been selected.  Thank you to all of my friends and family who believed in me and encouraged me to enter!
I am excited, anxious and nervous for Convention to get here now!  I knew we were in for a fun-filled couple of days, but this just adds even more fun to the mix!

Here's a fun card I made to share my excitement:

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Pool Party, Very Vanilla, Epic Day This and That DSP
Ink ~ Gumball Green, Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Basic Gray, Daffodil Delight
Stamp Sets ~ Tape It, Yippee-Skippee Positively Chevron
Other Supplies ~ Calypso Coral Bakers Twine, Subtles Designer Buttons, Hung Up Cute Clips, Epic Day This and That Stickers, Sponge Daubers

I used some re-inker and water with my sponge daubers to create the fun splatter marks...so much fun!

I'm still running on pure excitement this morning and hope to use some of this energy to get through some more of my Convention swaps.

Wising you all an amazing weekend!

Happy Stamping!

Yippee-Skippee, It's {Mojo} Monday

Carbs, schmarbs...they're why I run!  I love to eat {the cake}!  I cracked up when I saw the Yippee-Skippee stamp set during the online catalog sneak peek and knew I would have to get it for this one stamp alone.  All of the other stamps are super cute and sassy too, but the Carbs, Schmarbs is my favorite!!

I used today's Mojo Monday sketch to get me started...

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Epic Day This and That
Ink ~ Gumball Green, Calypso Coral, Pool Party
Stamp Sets ~ Make a Cake, Yippee-Skippee, March Paper Pumpkin
Other Supplies ~ Chevron Embossing Folder, Circle Framelits, Epic Day This and That Stickers

I'm sending this card to my twin-brain-sister-friend with a funny little "awkward moment" message on the inside.  She may disown me as a friend when she opens it, but I can't help myself ;) Love you friend!

Happy Monday to all and Happy Stamping!
