Nature's Beautiful Winter ~ HSSIC#355

Hello stamping friends!

Do any of you still have winter weather in your parts of the world?  We haven't had much of a winter this year and I'm kind of hoping that we just skip it this year!  I'm not a fan of the cold, but I will happily play along with this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge and create a winter wonderland!  I'm so happy to be creating with this lovely group of stampers again after a little break!

I was so inspired by the pretty fox in the snow and instantly thought of the Nature's Beauty stamp set.  Thankfully one of my dear stamping friends owns this stamp set and was kind enough to let me borrow it. And now I need to order my own!
I stamped the fox in Memento and colored it in with Cajun Craze Stampin' Blends.  I heat embossed a bit of snow and grass around the fox, then sponged in some winter colors to soften the image.  I heat embossed more snow and some sprigs of tall grass in the background, then roughed up the edges and added a little crumpled piece of Balmy Blue paper and a simple Happy Birthday sentiment to finish the card off.
Next up is a wintery dear that was the perfect card for my dad's birthday last week.  The techniques and design were pretty much the same as those that were used on the fox card.  I'm not sure that you can see very well in the pictures, but I actually filled the sequins on each card with glue from the Fine Tip glue pen, which kind of created a little epoxy dot.  I love it when these happy accidents happen!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Smoky Slate, Balmy Blue, Seaside Spray, Whisper White
Ink ~ Smoky Slate, Balmy Blue, Seaside Spray, Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze
Stamp Sets ~ Nature's Beauty, Pallet Thoughts
Other Supplies ~ Stitched Nested Labels Dies, Stitched Shapes Dies, Woven Threads Sequins

I don't know about you, but I am always running low on masculine birthday cards.  I made sure I created a few extra cards before I returned this stamp set to my friend.

I hope you will join us this week!

Happy Stamping

Catch a Snowflake

Happy November stampers!  Did everyone survive Halloween yesterday?  It was a rainy, dreary one here for us, but my little still had fun hitting up the neighborhood for some sweet treats!

Now that Halloween is over, we are on the official downhill slide into our winter holidays!  This also means the snow could start falling any day.  I love the snow...as long as it stays in the mountains.  But I am REALLY loving the snow that's hitting my craft room right now with the beautiful new Catch a Snowflake products!  From November 1st through 30th, or while supplies last, you can purchase these amazing products.  With two stamps sets, dies, paper and embellishments, the creative possibilities are endless!
I have posted a few samples I have created with both the Happiness Surrounds and Snow Is Glistening stamp sets, but I think the Snowfall Thinlits are my favorite!  Aren't all of these snowflakes magical?!?!  It feels just like a winter wonderland!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Silver Glimmer, Silver Foil
Ink ~ Smoky Slate
Stamp set - Snow is Glistening
Other Suppies ~ Snowfall Thinlits, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Softly Falling Embossing Folder

I love the white on white with just a little bit of sparkle...so perfect for a beautiful winter card.

Be sure to catch your snowflake soon...don't let these beautiful products pass you by!!!

Have a beautiful day!

Happy Stamping!

Cozy Coffee Cafe

Whew!  We made it to the weekend!!  And it's not just any weekend for me...it's the start of a 9 day vacation for me....YES!!!  I have big plans to spend the afternoon in my craft room doing nothing but creating!  I'm sneaking in a little early morning creating too before the rest of my family gets up, although the tiniest human in my family decided he needed to be up at 5:30, so he's keeping me company!
I'm playing along with two of my favorite Friday challenge sites...Fab Friday and The Friday Mashup.   Fab Friday has a fun sketch this week...perfect for the weather mashup over at The Friday Mashup!  The challenge this week is to let our weather inspire us in our creation and to mash it up, we are to add in a metal embellishment.  So...here's what I came up with!
Supplies ~
Paper ~ Watercolor Winter Simply Created Card Kit Card Base and Background Pieces, Whisper White, Regals DSP
Ink ~ Memento, Smoky Slate Blendabilities, Bermuda Bay
Stamp Set ~ Perfect Blend, Good Greetings
Other Supplies ~ Bermuda Bay Bakers Twine, Basic Hodgepodge Clips, Watercolor Winter Simply Created Card Kit Die-Cut Accents, Frosted Sequins
Everyday Adventure Project Life Accessory Pack Washi Tape

We've had some super cold temps this past week with a little bit of snow, so that is what inspired my creation for today.  I'm not a fan of the cold, but if it's going to be this cold, I'd be happy if it would just snow like crazy!  That would be the perfect excuse to warm up in my favorite coffee shop with a good friend and catch up.  Sounds amazing, doesn't it?  And do you spy the little bit of metal?  That teeny tiny little  paper clip is so much fun, right?!?!?

The Friday Mashup still has an open Design Team call going on, so I'm giving it my best shot...wish me luck!

I'm hoping to crank out another crafty creation before the rest of my people wake up and we battle the weekend-before-Thanksgiving-grocery-store madness!

Wishing you all a Happy Saturday and I hope you get some stamping time in too!

Happy Stamping!
