Lemon-Lime Fresh Birthday Wishes

 

I brought Sweet Citrus back out for the latest Monday Montage blog hop!  It's always fun to bring some old favorites out from time to time!  

I went with Lemon Lolly for the lemons with a bold pop of Garden Green for the leaves.  But it still needed a bit more...bring in some Lemon Lime Twist ribbon from the Ribbon Duo combo pack and a few Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins.  Now you have the perfect lemon lime birthday wishes!

The Sweet Citrus Hybrid dies and embossing folder, along with the Basics 3D embossing folder, brought in the perfect amount of texture. And the tiniest bit of Lemon Lolly Lighter Than Air DSP stripes peek out at the edge.  Now I need a warm sunny day to enjoy a cool glass of fresh lemonade with just a twist of lime!

Tastes Like Summer

Summer is in full swing here in the US and this weeks TGIF Challenges Color Challenge tastes like summer!  Sweet Sorbet and Lemon Lolly...sounds like a cool, refreshing drink in the making if you ask me!

I mixed some Sweetest Cherries with Sweet Citrus for the sweetest birthday wish!  Some fun polka dot Zoo Crew DSP and Black & White Gingham Ribbon helped to bring in the perfect pop of black!

Zesty and Refreshing Birthday

Welcome to the latest Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge!  This challenge is perfect as we ease our way into the summer months here in the US.  Blue skies, flowers and sweet summer drinks...I'm ready!

I was inspired by the lemonade and pops of red in the photos.  I pulled some additional inspiration from last months Crafty Carrot Sweet Citrus tutorials and cased one of Cindy's cards.

I stamped the lemons in Daffodil Delight on Daffodil Delight card stock then cut them out with the coordinating hybrid embossing folder.  A pop of Poppy Parade came from a punched cherry along with a die-cut Poppy Parade circle from the Brights DSP.  A few little Petal Pink flowers and a couple Granny Apple Green leaves pulled everything together.  

What will you be inspired to create with the latest challenge?  We can't wait to see!

Sweet Citrus Thanks

    

Mother Nature is still trying to decide what season it is around here, but I think she's almost made up her mind that it really is spring!  The beautiful blue skies are making an appearance and the sun is shining...it just needs to warm up a bit more and spring will officially be here!

This weeks Global Design Project Color Challenge certainly feels like spring and when you pair it up with this weeks Freshly Made Sketches Challenge, you end up with a springy Sweet Citrus thank you!

I am trying to used up as much as my retiring product as I possibly can and this color challenge was the perfect way to put this adorable Tahitian Tide pattern of Tea Boutique DSP to use.  What's more cheerful than polka dots and citrus fruits?!?

I added a couple Stylish Shapes die cuts to go along with the sketch. I'm so happy these dies made the cut for another year!  I dressed up the fruit with a splash of Petal Pink stamped flowers, a bit of Tahitian Tide Baker's Twine and few clear Milky Dots.  So cute!

A Twist of Thanks

It's time for an all new Monday Montage blog hop!  I love hopping with all of these talented ladies and I know you will love all of the projects we have to share with you this week.

I wasn't quite ready to put the Sweet Citrus Bundle away after my last card, so you are getting a double dose of Vitamin C(ute) today!

I decided to go with a twist of lime...or Parakeet Party for this card.  I stamped the outline of the limes in full color and stamped off the insides one time for a true lime look.  

When I think of lime trees, I think of the little one that I tried growing a few years ago.  Just before the tiniest little limes grew, it was full of pretty little white blooms. I tried to recreate that look with a few Petal Pink blooms tucked in to some little sprigs from the Ranunculus Dies.

Does the layout of this card look familiar?  I cased my own card that I created a few weeks ago for another Monday Montage project.  Do you ever case yourself?

Sending a Big Squeeze of Love

Welcome to the February edition of the Control Freaks Blog Hop!  Valentine's Day may have passed, but we are continuing to spread the love this month.  Did you just arrive from the amazing project created by Melissa Davies of RubberFUNatics or are you just starting to hop?  Either way, be sure to hop all the way through!

I had some bright, colorful fun with the Sweet Citrus Bundle for today's card!

I created a rainbow of sweet citrus!  Polished Pink grapefruit, Pumpkin Pie oranges, Daffodil Delight lemon and Parakeet Party limes and a few pretty blue Pastel Adhesive Sequins.  And what goes better with all of these bright colors?  Black and white stripes, of course!  

I cut some strips of Basic Black and Basic White and adhered them to another piece of scrap paper to create a fun added striped pattern. 

The Sweet Citrus Hybrid Embossing Folder is AMAZING! There is so much detail in this folder AND you can emboss and cut at the same time.  Even better!

Sweet Citrus Birthday Wishes

 Happy December stampers! I can't believe we are in our final month of 2022...what a year this has been!

One might think I would kick off the Christmas month with another Christmas card, but the cold, dark and gloomy weather has me dreaming of warm, sunny summer days!  Say hello to the sweet and zesty Sweet Citrus Bundle!

This sweet bundle was one of the items attendees of OnStage were able to pre-order a bit early and I'm so happy I added it to my collection.  I love the juicy images...so many citrus possibilities!  

I chose to go with some oranges, stamped in Pumpkin Pie and Mango Melody.  A few Granny Apple Green Leaves added another pop of color, along with some subtle Petal Pink Flowers.  All of these pieces are easily cut out with the Sweet Citrus Hybrid Embossing Folder.

And isn't this embossing folder amazing?!?  I love all of the detail and texture!  As I mentioned earlier, I'm already dreaming of warm, sunny days.  What's better than Costal Cabana to make it feel like summer! I love all of these colors together.

Today's sketch was inspired by the latest Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.  You can never go wrong with a great sketch!
