Back to School

This weeks TGIF Challenges Theme Challenge is just in time for back to school!  Our schools start back next week and we are ready for all of the kiddos to be back in buildings!

I went with another fun and encouraging card using the Kiddin' Around stamp set and dies.

I created my own lined paper using the bullet tip of the Pool Party and Pretty in Pink Stampin' Blend Markers.  It's always fun to make your own paper!  And since I was making my own paper, I needed to make my own pencil too!

In keeping with the school theme, I splattered a piece of Basic Black with Whisper White Craft Ink to look like a composition book.  Too much fun!  The sweet and simple sentiment comes from Sentimental Park.

Thanks to the amazing Amy over at Freshly Made Sketches for the sketch inspiration!  I love a good sketch!
Wishing all of the kiddos, parents and educators an amazing school year!

Happy Stamping!

A-B-C and 1-2-3

Welcome to the August edition of Around the World on Wednesday!  This month we have an A-B-C and 1-2-3 theme.

Since we are in full on back to school mode here, I thought it would be fun to create a couple of encouraging cards for some extra special kiddos in my life.
I brought together the books and birds from Bird's Eye View, the pencil from Trusty Tools and sentiments from Saying Hey and Kiddin' Around for this bright and cheerful cards!

I used every Brights Collection Stampin' Blend, plus Summer Splash...so much fun!

Keep on hopping along to see what  Jan Clothier has to share with us...I promise you will love it!

This or That?

It's time for another Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop!  We have a fun "This or That" themed challenge this month that we can not wait to share with all of you!

Do you ever create a card and love it so much that you create another one, but change things up just a bit? I find myself doing this all the time!  It's a great way to showcase some different techniques, products, colors and layouts.

I am still having so much fun with the Just Kiddin' Suite and all of the adorable images in both the stamp set and DSP!   So the big question is...This (DSP images) or That (stamped images)?

This first card feature the kiddos from the Just Kiddin' DSP, which happen to coordinate with the Kiddin' Around dies.  I kept the layout pretty simple and used the ombre Berry Burst stars pattern of DSP for the card base.  A little Azure Afternoon layer peeks out to coordinate with a few stamped stars in the background.
For the next card, I stamped the same kiddos in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them with Stampin' Blends.  I swapped out the DSP for the card base, as well as the peek-a-boo layer and ink.  Such a fun and simple way to have a different look for almost the same card!

Let's see what Lori Willcox has next for all of us!  Do you think you'll go with This or That for her projects?

We all hope you have fun hopping Around the World this month!
