Let's Tear It Up - TGIF Challenges #500

We are celebrating our 500th challenge over at TGIF Challenges with a fun technique...tear it up!  Have you ever created with torn paper?  It's one of the easiest techniques out there that adds so much to any project!

I chose the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper, with just a little bit of Fresh Freesia from the Subtles Designer Series Paper, and tore some wintery hills for the background.  Don't you just love how the white core of the paper adds a snow covered feel?

I stamped the Peaceful Evergreen trees in Smoky Slate, Fresh Freesia and Misty Moonlight.  These colors were pulled from today's 30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge.
Be sure to join along in the fun with our 500th challenge!  We love seeing what everyone is inspired to create!

Happy stamping!

Harvest Meadows Thank You

We are gearing up for another week of triple digit weather, but this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge has me thinking of fall!

I love these rich, warm earth-tone colors!  They were perfect for the soon-to-be available Harvest Dies!
I created a background using the Stampin' Blend and rubbing alcohol technique on a piece of Vellum...I still need some practice, but it was fun! I die cut some of the harvest blooms in shades of Old Olive, Cinnamon Cider and Rich Razzleberry to adhere to the Vellum layer, which was then layered on a piece of Basic White, embossed with the beautiful Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder.

I wrapped it all up with the gorgeous Diamond Weave Ribbon, with some white Bakers Twine weaved it, and a pretty little Thank You tag.  A little touch of Gold Metallic Specialty Paper and Brushed Metallic Dots were the perfect final touches.

I am far from being ready for summer to end, but I am LOVING these colors of fall! I hope you will join along in this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge!

Happy Stamping!

Splattered Birthdays

Happy Thursday stampers and welcome to this months Control Freaks Blog Hop!  You may have made your way here from the oh-so-creative Cindy Elam or this might be your first stop.  No matter how you go here, make sure you make you way through the entire hop!  This month we creating with our 2020 Occasions/Sale-A-Bration pre-order goodies and focusing on a favorite technique of our choice.

My twins are celebrating their 14th Birthday today...I'm not sure how this is even possible!  As they get closer to driving age, they are itching to ride on 4-wheelers, dirt bikes and side-by-sides as often as they can.  Given their love for any motorized vehicle, I knew that the new Petal to the Metal stamp set would be the PERFECT set to add to my pre-order.
What comes with riding 4-wheelers, dirt bikes and side-by-sides? DIRT AND MUD of course!  I chose to get a bit mess with the "splatter" technique to add a bit of "mud".  Despite the little mess it can make, it is one of my all time favorite techniques!

Splatters don't always have to mean mud though.  They can also add just the right splash of color to a sweet and simple card.  I earned a few Sale-a-Bration stamp sets with my pre-order, one of them being Happy Birthday To You.  You know me...any image that I can color with my Stampin' Blends is a must have for me!
I stamped, colored and fussy cut the pretty birthday cake.  I added a few splatters of Petal Pink and Calypso Coral, to coordinate with the flowers.  I popped the cake up with a few Stampin' Dimensionals, added a little bow and the "To You" sentiment (which I cased from the Sale-a-Bration Catalog).

Thank you for stopping by today!

Next up in the hop is the amazingly talented Melissa Stout!  But don't stop there...we have a hop full of creative techniques for you to check out!
Happy Stamping!

#TGIFC208 Technique Time

Happy Friday stampers!  I think I am finally recovered from my whirlwind trip to Salt Lake City for OnStage last Saturday and my crazy adventure in getting home!  After catching up on things at home, I was finally able to sit down and play with a few new items we received at OnStage, including the beautiful new Mosaic Mood Specialty DSP we were all given for the final Prize Patrol.  This gorgeous DSP fit in perfectly with this weeks TGIF Challenges paper piercing challenge.
It's been a minute since I've done any paper piercing...it's one of those techniques I kind of forgot about, but it adds a fun element to your projects!  I even found a few of my old piercing mats that I forgot I had!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Mint Macaron, Very Vanilla, Blushing Bride, Soft Suede, Mosaic Mood Specialty DSP
Ink ~ Mint Macaron
Stamp Set ~ Flowering Desert
Other Supplies ~ Layering Circles Framelits, Hexagons Embossing Folder, Iridescent Sequins

I fussy cut this amazing flower from the DSP, as well as the pretty little butterfly.  I can't wait for my Product Purchase Premier items to get here so I can play with the rest of this suite!  You are all going to LOVE it!

Thank you for stopping by today!  Have an awesome weekend!

Happy Stamping!
