Wising for Summer Sunflowers

Yesterday was a glorious, sunshiny day that lifted my spirts and shook off a few of the winter blues.  This weeks Global Design Projects Color Challenge is full of colors that make me happy too!
I dusted off an old favorite, Celebrate Sunflowers, and had an amazing Stampin' Blend coloring session.  I stamped the smaller sunflowers across a piece of Thick Basic White.
I used So Saffron, Granny Apple Green and Crumb Cake to color the sunflowers, then filled in all of the white space with Balmy Blue.  Reminds me of sunflowers on a sunny summer day, up against the blue sky.  The smaller sunflowers were not quite enough, so I added the giant sunflower on top.

With the softness of sunflowers and sky, a bold sentiment embossed on Basic Black was a must!  A Black & White Gingham Ribbon and a few Milky Dots were the perfect finishing touches!

Here's to hoping for a few more warm, sunny January days!

Happy Stamping!

Dandy Garden Sunflower

Hi friends and welcome to an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge!  This week we have a summer-fun color challenge for you to play along with!

I am all about flowers this time of year and immediately thought of Celebrate Sunflowers.  It's been a while since I've used this stamp set and it's coordinating Sunflowers Dies, so I was happy to pull it out.  I was even more happy to pair it up with the cheerful Dandy Garden DSP!

I love it when a die-cut image can make the entire card!  Only the sweet and simple sentiment was stamped.  The rest is just some pretty paper, some fun gingham ribbon and a little bit of bling.

I love to mix patterns, which you can clearly tell by this card.  Is it too much?!?!?

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you will join along and share your summer-fun colorful creation with us!

Happy Stamping!

In-Color Highlights ~ August Control Freaks Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to this months Control Freaks blog hop!  I am so excited to be hoping along with these talented designers and can't wait for you to see what everyone has created.  This month we are focusing on the 2020-2022 In Colors...aren't they all beautiful?  You may just be starting the hop or you may have arrived her from the creative Connie Tumm.  No matter how you got here, make sure you keep on hoping all the way through!
Sunflowers are in full bloom in my part of the world right now and were the inspiration behind my first card.  I was originally going to make a cute banner to hang up on my cubical at work, but got lazy and went with a card instead.  LOL!  This will still look cute hanging up in my cubical, right?!?
I cut strips of 2020-2022 In Color DSP to create a fun background, then added the beautiful sunflower and my favorite sentiment from the Ridiculously Awesome stamp set.  I added a few Cinnamon Cider Enamel Dots to finish the card off.

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Bumble Bee, Cinnamon Cider, Just Jade, 2020-2022 In Color DSP
Ink ~ Misty Moonlight
Stamp Set ~ Ridiculously Awesome
Other Supplies ~ Sunflowers Dies, Tasteful Labels Dies, 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots

I pulled out one of my favorite carry over stamp sets, Country Home, for my next card.  After seeing the sample in the Annual Catalog, I decided I just had to CASE it.  I loved coloring all of the flowers in the 2020-2022 In Color's!  Now I want an arrangement like this for my front porch!
I've been on a kick of roughing up the edges of my cards lately.  Is this a technique you use very often?  I love how much it can add to a card!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Misty Moonlight, Whisper White, Bumble Bee, In Good Taste DSP
Ink ~ Misty Moonlight, Bumble Bee, Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Smoky Slate, Magenta Madness, Just Jade, Misty Moonlight, Cinnamon Cider
Stamp Set ~ Country Home
Other Supplies ~ Tin Tile 3D EF, Linen Thread, Banner Triple Punch

Next up is my stampin' BFF Wendy Weixler!  You are going to LOVE what she has done with the In Colors.
Thanks for hoping along with us!  I hope you have found some inspiration in our creations!

Happy Stamping!

A Flower for Every Season ~ Monday Montage

Welcome to an all new Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won't want to miss a single creation from this amazing group of stampers!
I hope everyone had a safe and Happy 4th of July weekend!  Ours was pretty mellow and low key this year (thanks COVID!) but we all agreed that it was kind of nice.  I was all for mellow and low key after nursing a sick doggie all week.  Our sweet Holly dog developed some sort of GI issue early last week and her recovery has been a very slow and draining process.  I have a feeling we will be back at with the vet with her tomorrow because she is still not eating.  Say a little prayer for my sweet girl.
I started working on these cards last week in an effort to stay busy while I waited to hear back from the vet.  I was finally able to finished them up today, just in time for this weeks Monday Montage Blog Hop!
Inspired by the latest Fab Friday Challenge, I pulled out the cheerful Flowers for Every Season DSP.

I love me some sunflowers, so this pattern was a must use for me!  I paired Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set with this summery-fun DSP for a quick and easy celebration card.  I stamped the sunflower in Soft Suede, then added color with the Stampin' Blends...kind of like a no-line watercolor, but with the blends!
True to it's word, there REALLY is a flower for every season in the beautiful package of DSP!  The poinsettia's are so pretty and paired up perfect with the holly from Christmas Gleaming stamp set. Again, I stamped the holly in Sahara Sand, then added color with the Stampin' Blends.
The Just Jade Gingham Ribbon was used for the fun scalloped edge in the sketch.  This ribbon works for every season as well!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Bumble Bee, Just Jade, Misty Moonlight, Flowers for Every Season
Ink ~ Poppy Parade, VersaMark, Soft Suede, Stampin' Blends: Daffodil Delight, Just Jade, Cinnamon Cider, Poppy Parade
Stamp Sets ~ Celebrate Sunflowers, Christmas Gleaming
Other Supplies ~ Just Jade Gingham Ribbon, 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots

Thanks for stopping by today!  Now, on to the next stop on the hop!

Happy Stamping!

You Are SO Loved ~ Monday Montage

Welcome to an all new Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won't want to miss a single creation from this amazing group of stampers!

How are you all doing?  I hope that you are all staying safe and healthy during these uncertain and trying times in our world.  My heart has certainly felt a little heavier this past week...so I retrated to my craft room and created some happiness to share!

I have gotten a lot of use out of the Celebrate Sunflowers bundle so far and I have so many more ideas.  I LOVE this bundle!  I created my own DSP by stamping the large sunflower in Memento, then added a big splash of color with a bright and sunny Daffodil Delight sunflower.
I added a bit of texture to this card using the new, and amazing, Tasteful Textile 3D embossing 3D folder.  If you don't have this embossing folder yet, it is a must have!  I finished the card off with a sweet little sentiment with a whole lot of meaning, especially right now.  Stampin' Up! released this stamp set at just the right time.

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink ~ VersaMark, Memento, Stampin' Blends: Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede
Stamp Set ~ Celebrate Sunflowers
Other Supplies ~ Tastefl Textile 3D Embossing Folder, Sunflowers Dies, White Embossing Poweder
