Butterfly Gift Bag - Control Freaks Blog Tour

Welcome back to another Control Freaks Blog Tour!  You should have just left the beautiful creation of Tami Hewlett - Swimming in Stamps.  She constantly blows me away with her creativity!

This month we are "Thinking Outside of the Box"...or in my case, outside of the bag!  I will admit, thinking outside of the box kind of made my head hurt...or maybe it's just the head cold I have going on.  No matter how you look at it, coming up with this fun little gift bag was the best I could do!
My original plan was to create a basket using the Springtime Impressions corner die, but my plan just didn't come together as I had envisioned it in my mind.  So, I went with Plan B and created a pretty overlay with the flowery die.  I love the white on top of the bright Grapefruit Grove.

It has been awhile since I've used the Springtime Impressions dies and Abstract Impressions stamped set.  I was sent these items to create display board projects for OnStage last year...I can't remember how many projects I created with them, but it was several! It has taken me a while to come up with some new creative uses, but I'm loving this bag and butterfly tag!

Paper ~ Grapefruit Grove, Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo, Basic Black, Whisper White, Watercolor Paper

Next up is the amazing talent of Melissa Stout - The Stamp Doc.  You don't want to miss out on what she has created today!

Abstract Flowers and Hugs ~ HSSCC290

Hello stampers and happy Tuesday to all of you!  Today is certain to be a happy day for Special Education kiddos in our school district, as well as a few surrounding districts.  It's our first annual Day of Champions Track Meet and my department could not be more excited for all of the students.  They are in for a day full of fun!  Be sure to check back later this week as I am sure I will have some great stories to report :-)

Another exciting Tuesday moment is the latest Hand Stamped Sentiment Color Challenge.  How amazing is this color combo?!?  I can't wait to see what everyone creates with these!
Can I tell you a little you a little secret?!?  I have already pulled my retiring colors and was too lazy to get them back out, so I used Balmy Blue in place of Marina Mist.  Shhhh...it can be our little secret ;-)
I was lucky enough to score the beautiful Springtime Impressions Thinlits in my OnStage Display stamper box.  I did not have the coordinating Abstract Impressions stamp set, but I ordered it just as soon as I could!  Look how beautifully they coordinate!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Balmy Blue, Nature's Poem DSP
Ink ~ Pool Party, Balmy Blue, Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz, Highland Heather, Rich Razzleberry
Stamp Set ~ Abstract Impressions
Other Supplies ~ Springtime Impressions Thinlits, Iridescent Sequins

Now it's time for you to head on over to Hand Stamped Sentiments and join in our fun with this challenge!

I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Happy Stamping!
