These are a few of my favorite things...

Are you singing the song now? :-)  It's been stuck in my head ever since I started on this page!

This weeks Simply My Digital Studio Challenge is to create a page with our FIVE FAVORITE THINGS.  As I walked my boys to their first day of school today we chatted about all of the fun things we did over their summer break.  As I walked back home (a little teary-eyed), I reflected back on some of MY favorite things I did this summer...

Kimberly really put things in perspective for me at Convention during her MDS class when she talked about documenting HER life.  As moms, we are always the ones behind the camera, documenting the lives of those we love, but we never take any pictures of ourselves.  After Kimberly told us the story of creating a "legacy book" for a friend of hers, I made a promise to myself that I would do a better job of documenting MY life for my boys to look back on some day.  Sometimes it's hard to think of leaving your loved ones behind, but you just never know...

I invite you to join the challenge and tell us all about YOU! Your family appreciate learning about YOU!

Thanks for coming by today!  Don't forget to stop by my Online Store for this weeks latest MDS Digital Downloads!

ABC's & 123's

Hello and Happy Labor Day!  I've been a busy momma today getting my boys all ready for their first day of school tomorrow.  Time to get back to their ABC's and 123's :-)  I'm also working on my ABC's and 123's too...but in a stamping sort of way!
The latest Friday Mashup challenge made me put on my thinking cap!  The challenge is to use elements in your project starting with the letters A, B, C and and 1-2-3 recipe (1 embellishment, 2 Stamp Sets, 3 Colors).
So, here are my ABC's & 123's...

A ~ Alphabet
B ~ Birthday
C ~ Circles
1 ~ Embossing Folder (Perfect Polka Dots)
2  ~ Stamp Sets ABC-123 Sketched Alphabet & Zoo Babies (Ok, I cheated and used 3, but I really needed to add the "st" from Memorable Moments after the 1)
3 Colors ~ Strawberry Slush, Pink Pirouette, Smoky Slate

I'm sure y'all are getting tired of seeing polka dots in so many of my creations, but I just can't stop using the Build a Banner polka dot stencil...I love it!

This cute little card is being sent to a sweet little "peanut" of a girl who will be celebrating her 1st birthday next week.  I bet she's well on her way to learning her ABC's & 123's!

Happy Stamping!

Bombs Away Birthday

Hello to all my stampin' friends and happy Saturday!  I hope your {long} weekend is off to a great start...I know mine is!  We just got home from our annual Walla Walla Fair and Frontier Days Parade...so much fun!  We may be avoiding the fair this year, but we can't miss the parade :-)  The kiddos are resting now and then we're off to the pool for one last swim day for the summer.  Back to school on Tuesday...I say YIPPEE, my boys say BOO!!!

I'm taking advantage of rest time and getting my September Club cards all ready.  I'm focusing on the fun photopolymer stamps this month and love the Bombs Away Birthday set...the sentiments are so sassy and fun!  I used this weeks sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches to get me started.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Smoky Slate, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White
Ink ~ Smoky Slate, Bermuda Bay, Basic Black
Stamp Set ~ Bombs Away Birthday, Tape It, Positively Chevron
Other Supplies ~ Witches Brew Washi Tape

I sponged my Positively Chevron stamp with the different inks and I love how it turned out!  And this Washi Tape...I've gone through two whole rolls of the skull and cross bones already :-)

Hoping all my Stamp Club members have as much fun creating this card as I did!

As much as I'd like to spend a few more hours in my craft room, I've gotta get all of our swim stuff and snacks packed up so we can hit the pool ASAP!

Wishing you all a great Labor Day weekend!!

Happy Stamping!
