Fruits and Flowers Friday

Happy Friday!  It's supposed to be close to 80 today and is supposed to be nice all weekend...spring is finally here!!!  I'm looking forward to spending some time out in my flower beds...that is if I can pull myself away from my new Stampin' goodies that will be delivered this afternoon!  I see some late nights and early mornings over the next few days :)
I pulled out another of my soon-to-be retired favorites and made a cute card using this weeks Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch.

I'm sad that you really can't see the score marks in each corner of the card...it looks kind of blah in this picture.  Sorry!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade, Floral District DSP
Ink ~ JetBlack StazOn, Tangerine Tango, Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade*
Stamp Sets ~ Fruits and Flowers*, Pursuit of Happiness*
Other Supplies ~ Wisteria Wonder Ruffled Ribbon*, 2 1/2" Circle Punch, Designer Frames Folder
*Retiring Items*

I forgot how cute this stamp set was...and the stamps used on this card are just two of nine adorable stamps!  Be sure to add this to your list and snag it before June 3rd!

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Happy Stamping!

Everything Will Be Ok...

Losing a loved one is never easy, no matter what the circumstances may be.  But when a loved one has been suffering, it is almost a blessing when their time with us is up.  One of my friends lost her mom last week after battling a long illness.  I am hoping my friend finds comfort in knowing that her mom is no longer suffering and is finally at peace.
I found a simple sketch over at Clean and Simple Stamping and I thought it would make for a perfect sympathy card.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Perfect Plum, Whisper White
Ink ~ Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum, Lucky Limeade, Always Artichoke
Stamp Sets ~ Stippled Blossoms, Pursuit of Happiness
Other Supplies ~ Simply Scored Scoring Tool
It's not very often that I create a card with no added embellishments (unless you count the scoring ;)) and I am really happy with how this turned out.  Very simple, but pretty...just what I wanted for this card.
This is the first time I've used a sketch from Clean and Simple Stamping, but I will be back for sure!
Be sure to check back on Thursday for the Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop!
Happy Stamping!

Blooming Birthday

Earlier this week my mom's friend Shanna had a birthday...and of course my mom asked me to make her a card.  The first thing I thought of was Blooming with Kindness and shades of pink!  When ever I think of Shanna, I think of beautiful flowers and simple class.  Here's a look at how I turned that into a card...

I just love the flower stamp from this set!  So beautiful! And I love how it turned out on the First Edition DSP...subtle beauty.

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Crumb Cake, Calypso Coral, First Edition Specialty DSP
Ink ~ Calypso Coral
Stamp Sets ~ Blooming with Kindness, Pursuit of Happiness
Other Supplies ~ Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon

And notice the stamped envelope...I never send out a naked envelope :)

I had started out stamping the flower on some Very Vanilla, but it didn't work for the card above. BUT...I made it work for this card:

Two card with two different looks just by using different paper...don't you love doing that?

Tonight is Stamp Club...yay!  Looking forward to seeing all of my stamping friends and enjoying some adult conversation!

Happy Stamping!
