Sweet Baby Spencer

Today over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration we are CASEing projects from the catalog(s).  I fell in love with the baby announcement in the 2014 Occasions Catalog, and was so excited to show my friend Stacee, who was soon expecting her sweet baby Spencer.  She too fell in love with it and asked if I would help her make the announcements, which I happily agreed to do.
Stacee took on the task of punching out 70 of the adorable little owls...you go girl!  With a little help from MDS, I printed out Baby Spencer's info and the "Sweet Baby" sentiment...love me some MDS!  Once all of the pieces were cut out, Stacee put them all together and they turned out so stinkin' ca-YOOT!!!  But not as cute as that adorable baby of hers :-)
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding, Whisper White
Ink ~ Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana
Stamp Set ~ Baby We've Grown (MDS)
Other Supplies ~ Owl Punch, Small Heart Punch, Scallops Embossing Folder, Pistachio Pudding Ruffled Stretch Trim

Be sure to head on over and check out the rest of the CASE'ed creations from the design team and let us INKspire you to CREATE today!

Sweet Baby Owl

Happy {sunny} Sunday!  Spring has really sprung here and I am loving it!  It took all I had to come down to my craft room to write up this blog post instead of staying outside in the sun.  BUT, I did get to Skype with my good friend Cynthia, so that made it all worth it!
Some good friends of ours are expecting their first baby in a few months and are having their baby shower this afternoon.  They have decided not to find out the gender of the baby, so I found some pretty gender neutral colors to play with and made a cute little owl card.
Supplies Used:
Paper:  So Saffron, Whisper White, Baked Brown Sugar, Pear Pizzazz, 2013-2015 In-Color DSP, Neutrals DSP, Subtles DSP
Ink ~ Jet Black StazOn, So Saffron, White Gel Pen
Stamp Supplies ~ Baby, We've Grown
Other Supplies ~ Owl Builder Punch, Bird Builder Punch, Simply Scored Scoring Tool

When ever I have a baby shower gift to give, I love to make one of these cute little diaper motorcycles.  With just a small package of diapers, some cute receiving blankets and a few other baby items, I can whip one of these out in less than 30 minutes!

I used some of the Smoky Slate Chevron Ribbon to tie around the wheels and handle bars...it was a prefect match to the blankets.

I can't wait to give this gift to our friends and I really can't wait to meet their baby!

Time to head back out and enjoy more of our sun-shiny day!

Happy 7th Birthday A & H!!!

Happy 7th Birthday to my two amazing boys!  Seven years ago we were blessed with an awesome early Christmas gift...
It's hard to believe they were ever this tiny!  This is a picture of their first Christmas, spent in the hospital, inside their Christmas stockings :)  Where have the last 7 years gone???  It seems like just a couple years ago they came into this world...wow!  I cherish each and every day!

Today is their last day of school before Christmas break and their school day will be nothing but fun holiday celebrating!  How fun is that on your birthday?!?!  They asked me to make some Chex mix this year for school birthday treats instead of cupcakes.  I loved that idea!  But I can't just put that Chex mix in a baggie...it's got to go in a fun little treat bag with a cute topper!

This fun little reindeer was made using the Owl Punch...super easy and oh-so-cute!  His antlers were made using one of the snow flakes from the Snow Flurry Bigz die.  Add a little red Glimmer paper for the nose and voila!  The topper is made using the Top Note Bigz die, embossed with the new Honeycomb embossing folder.  I printed out the "Reindeer Snacks" in MDS 2 and punched them out with the Decorative Label punch.  Hope all of their school friends will love them!

And what's birthday without a handmade birthday card from Mom, right???
More fun with the Owl Punch!  Batman and Superman :)

I will post my supply list a bit later.  I'm redecorating A & H's bedroom for their birthday and have to get it done before they get home from school!!

Happy Birthday A & H...I love you!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween friends!
In our house, no school lunch on a holiday is complete without something fun made by Mom :)  I found a cute idea for Pumpkin Poo (I know, sounds more gross than cute, right?) on Pinterest and knew I had to include it in my boys' lunch.
The little poem reads:
I started to carve a pumpkin
With my carving knife and scoop
But the pumpkin got scared
He took a little poo!
It looked so cute and funny
Just like a tasty treat
So I'm sharing it with you
Because you are so sweet!
Happy Halloween!

All of my boys LOVE cheese balls, so I used those instead of candy for the poo.  I'm sure their teachers will appreciate that too :)
Thank you to my fellow Stampin' friend Charlotte for posting your cute picture of your Halloween treat bag.  It gave me the inspiration for this!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Tangerine Tango, Whisper White, Basic Black
Other Supplies Used:  Owl Punch, Top Note Die, Perfect Polka Dots Folder, 4x6 Cellophane Bags, Googlies

Here's a few other things that will be in their lunch box today.  Spider crackers and an Orange Scream yogurt drink.

Wishing you all a spooky, safe, fun-filled Halloween!
