Awesome Otter Birthday Wishes

There aren't many critters that are as cute as otters are!  I don't know about you, but I love watching their playful nature and would totally have one as a pet if my husband would allow...LOL!

For now, I'll stick with the adorable Awesome Otters stamp set and send a rainbow of birthday wishes to a special birthday friend.
I stamped this cute little guy in Memento, then added a splash of Pool Party water and Crumb Cake for the otter.  You can have a birthday without a party hat, right?!?  Misty Moonlight, Granny Apple Green, Magenta Madness, So Saffron and Flirty Flamingo brought some happiness to this party hat!

I wanted to add even more cheerfulness...hello Sunshine & Rainbows DSP!  A little strip peeking out from the side was just right.  I stamped the Birthday sentiment from Biggest Wish in coordinating colors, then fussy cut each letter for the perfect rainbow placement.

The polka dots from the Checks & Dots embossing folder add just the right amount of texture to the Misty Moonlight card front.

Once again, I managed a card without embellishments or a heat embossed sentiment...shocking, right?!?!

Happy Stamping!

Make it Monochromatic ~ Control Freaks

Welcome to this months Control Freaks Blog hop!  We are sharing some of our favorite Stampin' Up! colors and some of us are even making monochromatic creations!  You may have arrived from the amazing Melissa Davies of Rubber Funatics or you may just be starting.  Either way, make sure you hop all the way through!

I chose to {kind of} go monochromatic with my creations.  Sometimes I just can't veer away from using black!

First up is a Valentine card that is sweet enough to eat!  I used the adorable Sweet Talk DSP, pulling the patterns in shades of Real Red and Petal Pink.  Then I selected some equally adorable candy and hearts in the same colors to fussy cut.  Yes, I know the dies coordinated with some of the hearts the DSP, but fussy cutting is my jam and I don't mind it one bit!
The DSP did most of the talking here...except for the simple Happy Valentine's Day sentiment stamped in Real Red.  I love it when that happens!

Next up is a Pool Party friendly hello.  I LOVE the Friendly Hello DSP and would love to see it make it's way into the next Annual Catalog...a girl can wish, right?!?  I cut a flagged strip of beautiful Pool Party and Basic Black floral DSP, then stamped my own piece of DSP using the Friendly Hello floral images.  The cute little bird was stamped in Memento and just a touch of Pool Party was added to the wings and flowers.
In true Craft-somnia Momma fashion, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment in white on Basic Black and fussy cut it...shocker, right?!?!  A few Artistry Blooms sequins were tucked in here and there and that was a wrap for this card!

Next up is the amazing Cindy Elam of Hearts Delights Cards

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Stamping!

Friendly Birthday Wishes

Hello stampers!

I had an extra day off today in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day and most of my day was spent in my craft room!   That always makes for a great day!

I love this weeks  Global Design Project sketch challenge.  It inspired me to give a little more love to the Sale-A-Bration Friendly Hello stamp set and coordinating Friendly Hello DSP.

I cut a square piece of the multi-color flower and bird DSP pattern, and layered it with a Fresh Freesia Shimmer Vellum die-cut circle. I love the you can still see the DSP beneath the vellum.

I stamped the flower image in Fresh Freesia, adding a few Granny Apple Green leaves and a few sprigs of Pale Papaya.  I fussy cut the stamped image, tucking a little polka dot strip underneath.

As always, I heat embossed the sentiment in white on Basic Black and finished the card off with a few Classic Matte Dots.

I love the simplify of this sketch...so much that I will likely use it again in the very near future!

I am grateful for the extra day off...last week was pure (COVID) craziness and I'm gearing up for this week to be just a crazy!  Time to rest up and get ready for the the week.

Happy Stampin!

Cactus Cuties and Rainbow's of Happiness

Happy new Mini and Sale-a-Bration Catalog day!!!

I don't know about you, but I love the feeling of the fresh start of the New Year.  Want to know what I love even more?!?!  Fresh, new Stampin' Up! products!  This years January-June Mini Catalog is packed FULL of so many amazing new products.  But wait...there's even more amazing news!  January-February Sale-a-Bration kicks off today as well.  You can earn SAB items for FREE with every $50 or $100 spent.

I thought I would share a couple of my favorites with you today.  Cactus Cuties and Rainbow of Happiness Bundles were MUST HAVE's for me!
I used the adorable Sunshine & Rainbow's DSP, which you can earn for free from Sale-a-Bration with a $50 purchase.  Trust me...this paper is worth it!

I paired this cute cactus up with the even cuter polka dot pattern of DSP.  The cactus came together quick and easy with the coordinating Cactus Builder Punch.  A bright Bermuda Bay card base, along with a little Mango Melody makes for a bright and cheerful little note.

Next up is "a little something to brighten your day".  I die-cut the rainbow using a rainbow of Sunshine & Rainbow's DSP.  Aren't these patterns all just the BEST?!?!

The new Cloud punch coordinates with the cloud pattern of DSP too...can this DSP get any better?!?

What's a rainbow without the sunshine?  This sunny sentiment was heat embossed in white on Mango Melody, which fits perfectly inside the sunburst die from Tasteful Labels dies.  The Painted Texture 3D embossing folder added just the right amount of texture to this card as well...and no embellishments were necessary!

These two bundles and FREE Sale-a-Bration items may be my favorites, but these catalogs are FULL of so many awesome projects that you are going to want to add to your collection.

Don't wait any longer...start your shopping HERE today!

Driving By To Say Thanks

Hello stampers and happy Monday!  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!  Ours was pretty quiet, which was really nice!

I still have this week off for Winter Break and have been enjoying some time in my craft room.  I've been on a mission to get all of my Christmas thank you cards made and hopefully sent out before the New Year.

Driving By is an adorable new stamp set available for FREE during the January-February 2022 Sale-A-Bration!  This is one you are going to want to earn for sure!

I colored the cute little bug in Real Red, along with the packages as well.  Some Granny Apple Green was added in to go along with the Gingerbread & Peppermint DSP peeking out of the Picture This Dies.

I heat embossed a couple different sentiments from the stamp set on Basic Black, fussy cutting them out for the perfect sentiment for this card.

A few Matte Decorative Dots were added and this card was complete!  It was super easy and fun to replicate too.

My goal is to create at least one card every day this week...fingers crossed it actually happens!

Friendly Hello Birthday Wishes

Happy Friday stampers!! I hope all that celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday had a wonderful day with family and friends.

TGIF Challenges has a fun Product Spotlight to play along with this week! We’re creating with the Soft Pastels and I can’t wait to see what everyone creates!

I’ll admit, these took come encouragement. It’s been a long time since I’ve used pastels! But I jumped in and gave them a try.

I scraped a little pastel dust in each color onto on of my stamp blocks, then sponged it on the images with the Sponge Daubers. So easy and not nearly as difficult as I thought it would be!
I fussy cut the pretty little bird and flowers from the upcoming Sale a Bration stamp set, Friendly Hello. I stamped a few flowers in Fresh Fresia, then tucked a piece of Friendly Hello behind this layer.  An Ornate Floral piece of Basic White added just right amount it of texture. The sentiment was heat embossed in white on Basic Black, of course.

This stamp set and coordinating Friendly Hello DSP are available for FREE when you purchase $100 in product January 4-February 28.

I will add my supply list soon! We traveled for the Thanksgiving holiday and I forgot to bring my laptop. Posting from your phone is a blessing, but not as easy as your computer!

Happy Stamping!

Rainbow of Happiness ~ Monday Montage

Hello friends and welcome back to another Monday Montage Blog Hop!  We're so happy to have you join us!

OnStage@Home was held last weekend and with that came a sneak peek of the upcoming January-June (JJ) 2022 and January-February Sale-a-Bration (SAB) catalogs.  You are going to LOVE these catalogs!!!

Along with those sneak peeks of the new catalogs, demonstrators who attended OnStage@Home were able to purchase select items from the Product Purchase Premier...say that 3 times fast!  My order was super quick to arrive and I could not wait to play with the new Rainbow of Happiness Bundle from the JJ catalog and coordinating Sunshine & Rainbows DSP from the SAB catalog!
This first card features the ADORABLE Sunshine & Rainbows DSP.  This cloud pattern is just so cute!  And guess what?!?  There is a coordinating cloud punch coming in the new JJ catalog that will be a must have for me!  But I was totally fine with fussy cutting a couple cute clouds to go with the cheerful rainbow stamped with the Rainbow of Happiness stamp set in shades of So Saffron, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Magenta Madness and Petal Pink.  A couple strips of some of the other cheerful patterns of DSP brought a bit more color in and the Iridescent Rhinestones offered just the right amount of bling.  Isn't this just the cutest?!?!

Next up is a subtle rainbow card with a sweet little sentiment...You make me happy.  The rainbow was created with the awesome Brilliant Rainbow Dies.  This die is what sold me on this bundle.  I LOVE this die!  I arranged the rainbow in shades of Petal Pink, So Saffron, Cinnamon Cider and Calypso Coral on a piece of Very Vanilla.  I used a piece of So Saffron from the Subtles 6x6 DSP to peek out from behind the rainbow...kind of like the sun peeing out!  I stamped the tiny little hearts and sun rays in Calypso Coral on a Calypso Coral card base.  The sweet sentiment was stamped in Cinnamon Cider on a strip of Calypso Coral, with a Very Vanilla bow tucked behind.  A bit of bling was added with the Iridescent Rhinestones again.  I can already tell these are going to be my new favorite embellishments!
These rainbows are going to bring all kinds of happiness!  I can not wait to share these and the rest of the amazing JJ and SAB catalog goodies with all of you!

Happy Stamping!
