Extraordinary Life Birthday Wishes

Today I’m sharing a sweet birthday card today inspired by the latest Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge! I always enjoy a good sketch challenge to help provide a great starting point while still allowing plenty of room for creativity.

For this card, I combined several favorite products to create a soft and cheerful floral design. The beautiful floral image from the Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper takes center stage and was colored with Stampin’ Blends in shades of Lost Lagoon, Pool Party, Lemon Lolly, Daffodil Delight, Petal Pink, and Calypso Coral. These colors create a fresh, garden-inspired palette that feels perfect for a birthday celebration.

The background layers feature patterns from the Beautiful Ordinary Life Designer Series Paper, which add just the right amount of texture and interest without overwhelming the focal image. I incorporated elements from the Extraordinary Life Bundle to follow the sketch design and create dimension throughout the card.

To finish the card, I added a birthday greeting from the Wild Bunch stamp set and scattered a few Earthy Matte Dots for a touch of embellishment and shine. The delicate butterflies help frame the floral arrangement and add movement to the overall design.

One of my favorite things about this card is the combination of soft florals with the bold geometric pattern in the background. The contrast keeps the design interesting while still maintaining a light and airy feel.

Thank you for stopping by today! Be sure to check out the latest Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge and join in the fun. Sketch challenges are a wonderful way to spark creativity and try new layout ideas. I'd love to hear what you think of this card in the comments below!

Party Animals

Happy Wednesday stampin' friends!  We're on the downhill slide to the weekend...YIPPEE!!!  And we are officially one week away from summer break for my kiddos!  Where in the world has time gone this school year?!?!  It feels like they just started a few weeks ago.  In years past I have half way dreaded summer break because I was always stuck at home working while my kids and hubby were having fun.  But that all changes this year because I get summer break off too :-)

We kicked off summer over Memorial Day weekend and the fun continued last weekend as we celebrated the 3rd Birthday of one of our little buddies from our fire family.  His family had a fun party that included a HUGE slip-n'-slide, which ALL of the kiddos loved!  I didn't have any birthday cards on hand that were appropriate for a 3 year little boy, so I whipped up this cute and cheerful card before we headed out to the party.  Can you tell that Animal Outings is one of my favorites from the new catalog?!?
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Real Red, Daffodil Delight
Ink ~ Memento Tuxedo Black, Stampin' Blends
Stamp Sets ~ Animal Outings, Hand Delivered (hostess set), Picture Perfect Birthday
Other Supplies ~ Polka Dot Basics Embossing Folder

I think one of the reasons I love the Animal Outings stamp set so much is because you can color the images.  Coloring and fussy cutting are two of my favorite crafting pastimes...it's so therapeutic!  And aren't the balloons from the Hand Delivered hostess set the perfect little addition?  They kind of remind me of the movie Up!

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you are having a great week and have some fun plans coming up for the weekend!

Happy Stamping!

A Berney Bulldog Thank You

Hello stampin' friends and happy Thursday!

This week has FLOWN by!!!  So quickly, that I almost didn't have time to get anything made for teacher appreciation week!  I had big plans of making something super cute for Owen to take to his teachers this week, along with a card.  Well, as you can see, I only managed a card.  But it's the thought that counts...right?!?

Thanks to the fun Lined Alphabet stamp set and the super cute book images from the Hand Delivered hostess set, I was able to make a quick card for both teachers and send them off to school this morning.  Just in time since there is no school tomorrow!  Oh...and of course I had to add a Berney Bulldog, the mascot for Owen's school. The Sitting Pretty stamp set will forever be called the Berney Bulldog set in our house.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Gorgeous Grape, Blueberry Bushel, Lovely Lipstick, Pineapple Punch
Ink ~ Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clover, Blueberry Bushel, Gorgeous Grape
Stamp Sets ~ Lined Alphabet, Hand Delivered, Labeler Alphabet, Sitting Pretty
Other Supplies ~ Pretty Park Framelits, Whisper White Bakers Twine

Okay, who else saw the new 2018-2020 In Colors and immediately thought of teachers???  These colors are so bright and cheerful and FUN!!!  I am loving ALL of them!

Don't forget to have your kiddos thank their teachers this week...even if it's just a simple thank you straight from their mouth.  A word of thanks goes a long ways, especially for our teachers and all that they do!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Stamping!
