Halloween Mash Up ~ #TGIFC340

We made to Friday and a faBOOlous new TGIF Challenges!  Since we have an extra Friday this month, we are mashing things up with a Mash Up Challenge.  We had to pick at least two challenges from this month to mash up and create something new...how fun is that?!?!  I went with 3 of the challenges...the sketch, the theme and the technique.
I once again inked up Cutest Halloween and fussy cut some of favorite Cute Halloween images along with a couple strips of torn DSP to go along with the sketch.  I just love this paper!
I've played around with the alcohol blending technique a bit, but not quite like this.  I colored an entire piece of vellum in shades of Basic Black, Misty Moonlight and Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Blends.

Next I used a Water Painter filled with rubbing alcohol to blend the shades of Stampin' Blends together, then added some drops and splatters to create a spooktabulous background!
This is such a fun technique, but one that I need some more practice on for sure!

I hope you will join us and share your own Mash Up creation!

Here's to a happy Friday and a Happy Halloween weekend!

Cutest Halloween EVER

Welcome to Friday and an all new TGIF Challenges! This week we're getting ready for Halloween and we hope you'll join along in the fun!

I'm back with another Cute Halloween {stamp set} card.  This fun stamp set coordinates with the super cute Halloween Punch.  These cute little Halloween critters were quickly punched out and added to some cute layers of DSP.  A quick Trick or Treat sentiment was stamped in Highland Heather and cut with the Layering Circles Dies.  A black and white gingham bow and a few little adhesive stars were all that were needed to create the Cutest Halloween card EVER!

You can't have Halloween without treats, right?  This adorable little tombstone treat box was cased from the catalog.  We made these at my stamp club this month and everyone loved them!

I hope you all have a fantastic Friday and a restful and relaxing weekend!  My hubby and boys are all away hunting this weekend, so I will certainly have a restful, relaxing and quite weekend.  Hopefully it will also include a LOT of stamping too!

Happy Stamping!

Fa(BOO)lous Freshly Made Halloween

Happy....Thursday?  I had to really think about what day it was!  Between it being a school conference week and having a sick kiddo at home, this week has been a blur.  The good news is that it really is Thursday, which means tomorrow is finally Friday!

If you've been following me for sometime, you may know that I am an early riser.  My early morning hours are spent working out and getting in a little stamp time before I head into whatever the work day may bring me.  I was super excited for this weeks Freshly Made Sketches sketch to guide me through my craft session this morning!

Halloween is quickly approaching and I've been working on some fun special request cards this week.  The Cute Halloween Suite has been well loved by me this year.  I love all of the adorable images in the Cute Halloween DSP and was happy to fussy cut some of the images that don't coordinate with the Halloween Punch.

Aren't these little skeleton heads just so cute?  I love all of their facial expressions!  I fussy cut a few to go along with the circles of the sketch, as well as a few little tombstones.  The sentiment was heat embossed in white on Pumpkin Pie and, you guess it, fussy cut for that perfect placement!  A few Pumpkin Pie Cute Star Sequins brough everything together.

Did you notice the fun stamped edges?  I finally inked up the Natural Textures host stamp set.  Why did I wait so long to do this?!?!  I love the brick pattern!

I hope you all have a Fa(BOO)lous day!

Happy Stamping!

Cute Halloween Critters ~ #GDP310

Hooray!  We made it to Friday!
It has been another insanely crazy week at work and stamping has kept me calm in the mornings.  This weeks Global Design Project Sketch Challenge was just what I needed to start my day today!
I've been working on a few Halloween cards and have been having so much fun fussy cutting the cute little ghosts and goblins from the Cute Halloween DSP.
These cuties were perfect for this weeks sketch!  I paired them up with some Halloween stripes and polkadots, also from the Cute Halloween DSP.
My sentiment was, once again, heat embossed in white on black and fussy cut for that perfect placement.
A little bit of Black & White Gingham Ribbon and a few Cute Stars Sequins were the final touch.  So cute!!!

I hope your weekend is off to a great start!  I have a busy weekend ahead of me, but I am certainly looking forward to a break from the craziness of the work week!

Happy Stamping!

Sketchy Control Freaks ~ Controls Freaks Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to Septembers Control Freaks Blog Hop!  You may have arrive here from Melissa Davies of Rubber Funatics or you may just be starting.  Either way, make sure you hop your way all the way through!
This month we have a fun sketch that we are all playing along with.  It is so much fun seeing all of the different creations with the same sketch!

Fall is here and I am loving all of the rich fall colors that are all around!  I was drawn to the Harvest Meadow suite again for my first card.  I love the Harvest Meadow DSP and I broke out the Cork DSP for the first time too.  This paper is AMAZING!
I colored the cone flowers in shades of Daffodil Delight and Cajun Craze, which were actually inspired by some Mums that I just recently planted.  I used the Diamond Weave Ribbon as part of the sketch, weaving some Linen Thread through the diamonds for a pretty added touch.   The Happy Birthday sentiment from Peaceful Moments was heat embossed on Cajun Craze and die cut with the Tasteful Labels Dies.  This card will certainly make for a wonderFALL birthday card!

With fall comes the excitement of Halloween and the fun of creating cute Halloween cards!  The Cute Halloween DSP is so stinking cute and perfect for some adorable Halloween cards for the littles.  I love the cute little bats and fussy cut a few to incorporate into the sketch.
I layered up some fun patterns of DSP and added a heat embossed sentiment from the Cutest Halloween stamp set.  A few of the Cute Stars were added and this card is ready to send out next month!

Next up on the hop is my friend Wendy Weixler of Wickedly Wonderful Creations.  You're going to love what she has to share with you today!
Happy Stamping!
