Coffee...Thinking of You

Fall has finally made it's way here and it was CHILLY this morning!  I had one cup of coffee this morning and all I can think about is having another...trying to hold out for a bit longer so I don't have the crazy shakes the rest of the morning!  To help keep my mind off of MORE coffee, I turned to my craft room and worked on my card for my Stamp Club September Swaps.
I used the super fun new Circle Card Thinlits...LOVE it!  This the front of the card...
After a little break over the summer, a few of my stamping friends and myself are back to swapping cards each month.  We each take a turn creating or picking out a card sketch and color combo.  It's a lot of fun to see all the different takes on the sketch.  Once I get swaps from everyone else, I will post them with the sketch and color combo for the month :)

This is what is on the flip side of the circle. Cute, right?!?!?

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush, Whisper White, 2013-2015 In Colors DSP Stack
Ink ~ Coastal Cabana, Sharpie
Stamp Set ~ Kind and Cozy
Other Supplies ~ Circle Card Thinlits, Circle Framelits, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Rhinestones

Obviously this card was inspired by my need for more coffee :-)  I've given in and am heading up to get another cup!

Happy Wednesday and Happy Stamping!

Getting Creative

What do you do when you are on vacation and have limited stamping supplies on hand???  You get creative!
While my hubby and big boys are out trying to catch a few crab for dinner tonight and my parents are out for a walk, I snuck in a little bit of stamping time while my little one napped.  I can't go on vacation without bringing SOME of my stamping supplies!  I'm not the only one who does this, right?!?!?  I brought along the new Circle Card Thinlits, so I decided to play around with them a bit more.  And while I was at it, I thought I'd play along with the latest inspiration challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  I was inspired by the bold colors in this picture:
All of the cut out portions of this card are from dies that are included with the new Circle Thinlit Dies.  So much fun!  And of course I had to add a little Gorgeous Grunge to the card...pretty sure we are all adding some here there and there to a better part of our cards right now :-)
I did put a scallop circle on the back side of the circle with two hearts, but forgot to take a picture of it...oops!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Gumball Green, Summer Starfruit, Raspberry Ripple
Ink ~ VersaMark
Stamp Set ~ Gorgeous Grunge
Other Supplies ~ Circle Card Thinlits, Vintage Faceted Buttons, Summer Starfruit Button (Halloween Banner Accessory Kit), Linen Thread, Raspberry Ripple Stitched Satin Ribbon

Well, nap time is over, which means my crafting time is over...unless I want a busy little two year old "helping" me :-)

Don't forget to come back later today and check out Day One of the 2013 Artisan Finalist blog hop!

Happy Stamping!

Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop ~ Holiday Catalog Creations

Good morning and welcome to the Stylin' Stampin' Squad Holiday edition!  If you've just come from Jennifer's blog, I hope you enjoyed her creation as much as I did...she has amazing talent!  And a big congrats to Jennifer on making Founder's Circle this year! Way to go friend!!!

I held off on ordering many things from the holiday catalog, so I was a bit limited with what I could do this month, but I hope you like what I came up with.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Real Red, Eastern Elegance, Silver Foil Sheets
Ink ~ VersaMark
Stamp Set ~ Festive Flurry
Other Supplies ~ Expression Thinlits, Festive Flurry Framelits, Circle Card Thinlits Die, Frosted Finishes Embellishments, Real Red Taffeta Ribbon, Northern Flurry Embossing Folder, Whisper White Bakers Twin, Silver Embossing Powder, Red Sharpie

This is definitely not a mailable card, but it makes for a cute decoration.  I cut the circle out of the middle of the card and attached the snowflake using the Baker's Twine.  I wish I would have used fishing line to attach the snowflake to give it more of a floating look, but after fighting to get it just right with the Bakers's Twine, I wasn't about to take it all apart :-) The snowflake in the center is 3-D...3 snowflakes cut out, folded in half and glued together.  (I was having flashbacks of creating the ornament from last year's Holiday Catalog!)  I layered the two smallest snowflakes and added the Frosted Finishes embellishments in the center.  Even though I don't have any of the Winter Frost DSP yet, I made things work with the Eastern Elegance DSP.  And the new foil paper....LOVE IT!  I love how pretty it looks embossed and layering it behind the Real Red "Merry" was just what the card needed.

Now head on over to Diana's page and see what she has in store for us this month!
