Love You to the Beach & Back ~ #TGIFC325

It's FRIDAY and that means it's time for an all new TGIF Challenges.  This week we are feeling ALL of the vacation vibes!

Do you have a favorite vacation spot?  Mine is, hands down, the Oregon Coast.  Pacific City to be exact.  I have spent my entire life vacationing on the Washington and Oregon coast...the beach is my happy place!

With that being said, of course I had to create a beach themed vacation card.  I stamped and die cut some shells in some different colors, then layered them on a piece of Pool Party.  I stamped a few of the same seashells in Pool Party before embossing it with the awesome Painted Texture 3D embossing folder.  It kind of looks like you are looking at the seashells under water.

I layered the underwater shell scene on a piece of woodgrain In Good Taste DSP and Basic White, then attached it all to a Pool Party card base.  A couple Opal Rounds were added, which instantly reminded me of little baby jelly fish!
This sentiment may be one of my most favorite ever!  I have ideas for an anniversary card for my hubby brewing!

I hope you have a fantastic Friday!

Happy Stamping!

Beauty of Thankfulness

Hi friends!  Happy Thursday...right???  I had to stop and think about what day it really was.  During the summer, while I am off, I tend to lose track of what day it is.  And I'm okay with that!  I do know that no matter what day of the week it is, I can always find a new Freshly Made Sketches sketch to play along with!
I love the simplicity of this weeks sketch!  The Beauty of the Earth DSP has been sitting on my desk, just waiting to be used, and this weeks sketch was the perfect time to put it to use!
I love the colors in this pattern!  They remind me of fall...my second favorite season, after summer of course.  A simple strip of this DSP was all I needed!  Some Misty Moonlight, Night of Navy and Basic White stood in the background while the warm colors in the DSP stole the show.
I love this Night of Navy sentiment from the Best Year stamp set, which fit so nicely inside this Tasteful Labels die.  The sentiment alone was little sad, so I added some Misty Moonlight stamped-off leaves from tasteful touches.  These leaves pair up perfectly with the DSP!  A touch of texture was added with the Bark 3D embossing folder and I dressed things up just a bit with some Crumb Cake Bakers Twine and Genial Gems.  For a simple card, I felt like I had ALL the things out on my desk!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you have a fantastic day!

Growing Gratefulness ~ #HSSSC368

Hello stampers and happy Tuesday!  It's time for an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge.  I hope you'll join along in the fun!

I'm still loving the Bloom Where You're Planted DSP, especially when it comes to fussy cutting out all of the plants!  I have a pile of them sitting on my desk and they were perfect to go along with this weeks sketch challenge.

I had a few scraps of DSP left over from a class I had last weekend that I was able to put to use.  I love the dark Evening Evergreen pattern paired up with the white brick wall pattern.  The Brick and Mortar 3D embossing folder gave just the right amount of texture and is probably my favorite EF at the moment!
After stamping the sentiment, I couldn't figure out a placement that made me happy, so I set to work fussy cutting it.  This is such a fun way to change up any sentiment!  A few staples were added to go along with the sketch and I called it good.  I was going to add a few embellishments, but decided they weren't needed.

I hope you aren't tired of seeing so many plant cards yet.  I have so many more ideas floating around in my head!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Peekaboo Farm Friends ~ Monday Montage

Hello friends and welcome to another Monday Montage Blog Hop!  I love seeing all of the great ideas all of these talented stampers we have.  Make sure you don't miss a single stop along the way!

I've been eyeing the cute little Peekaboo Farm critters for quite some time and finally added them to my collections of stamps.  They are so stinkin' adorable and perfect for my love of coloring

Along with the Peekaboo Farm stamp set, I also added the Picture This dies. These two products go hand in hand!  After cutting out the Smoky Slate circle frames, I cut a second frame in Basic White and used the negative pieces to stamp and color the adorable little farm friends. I love that it looks like they are peeking through each hole.
A little texture was added with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder and a little pop of Petal Pink was brought in with the heat embossed sentiment and cute little flowers from the Peach Dies.

Next up is the friendly little cow..just popping over the wall to say "Life is better with you!".  I had die cut a bunch of frames using the Stitched Rectangle dies for another project and had all of the negative pieces left over, which came in quite handy for a stone background. I used the Bark 3D embossing folder for this card and a pop of Poppy Parade for the sentiment.  So sweet and simple...my favorite type of card!
Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to keep on hopping to see what everyone else has been working on.  I promise that you will love them all!

Happy Stamping!

Fine Art Thoughts ~ #TGIFC324

Happy Friday y'all!  We've got an all new sketch challenge for you over at TGIF Challenges to help you kick off your weekend!
I love the Pattern Party Host DSP!  It is full of bright, cheerful and colorful designs on one side and awesome black and white designs on the flip side.  I went with one of the black and white designs with some bright and cheerful Fine Art flowers for today's sketch.
I inked up the flowers in shades of Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia, Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green.  They were all die cut with the Floral Gallery dies, along with a few additional pieces snipped and tucked into places to fill the gaps.  Just like arranging real flowers!
To create the diagonal piece of the sketch, I tore the DSP and layered it on top of a torn piece of Basic Black.  After tucking the flowers in, I decided some Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon was just what the card needed.  A simple "I'm thinking of you" sentiment was heat embossed on Basic Black and a few Fresh Freesia In-Color Jewels completed the card!

I hope you will join along in the fun this week!  The team over at TGIF always loves to see what you create!

Happy Stamping!
