High Tide Birthday ~ SSINK Blog Hop

I always seem to be short on masculine birthday cards, so I decided to use the beautiful new High Tide stamp set and create a card for my father-in-law's upcoming birthday.  I absolutely LOVE the lighthouse image in this set...it is amazing!

 

I created the plank background by inking up some watercolor paper with Soft Suede ink then running it through the Big Shot in the Woodgrain embossing folder while it was still a bit damp.

It's time for an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge.  Being that we are in the middle of a nasty winter storm in my neck of the woods, I was so happy to pull out some bright and cheerful spring colors! 

Sadly, spring is still quite a ways away, but I'm happy to be able to create a little flowery happiness with paper and ink!

Let's Taco' Bout...

Happy Monday friends and welcome to January's SSINK Skectch Challenge!  We have a fun sketch for you to play with and I can't wait to see what everyone creates!

I switched things up a little bit with my card, but not too much!  I stated out with the fun taco truck image from the Sale-a-Bration Tasty Trucks stamp set, but no matter what I did, I couldn't get it to work out the way I had pictured it in my head.  Does that ever happen to you?  I had to walk away for a bit and the idea of the llama popped in to my head!  What do you think?!?!

Sending Love Notes ~ Monday Montage



Welcome back to Monday Montage!!!  We are back with another fabulous hop!  Make sure you click on the links below so you don't miss any of the creations...you are sure to love them all!

We are back after a little break to celebrate Christmas and New Years!  I hope you all survived the holidays and are getting back into your normal routine.  I love the holiday season, but I am always happy when they are all over and our lives get back to normal...well, as normal as my family can be ;-)

Now that Christmas is over, it's time to jump right in to the next holiday...at least if you are in any of the stores!  Valentine's Day is still a little over a month away, but I am starting some of my crafting now as I know it will be here before I know it!

I really love the Sealed with Love stamp set and coordinating Love Notes Framelits.  There is a little bit of everything in this stamp set!  The cute little note that fit right into the adorable envelope is my favorite!

Let's Celebrate Party Animal

Happy Friday stampin' friends!  I don't know about you, but I am so happy it's Friday!  It may have been a short work week for me, but it has been a brutal one!  The first couple of weeks of the New Year are always crazy when it comes to my job.  Thankfully the first week is over and next week should be a little better.

I am loving all of the new stuff in the 2017 Occasions Catalog, especially the Party Animal Suite!  And since it's Friday Favorites over at SSINK, I thought I'd share a cute card from this suite today!
