Straight to my Heart ~ Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop

Thank you so much for joining us for our January Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop!  Love is in the air and our talented group of design team members have a Whole Lotta Love Goin' On as we are excited to be sharing some NEW Occasions Catalog goodies and some Valentine's Day projects with you this month!

As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog!  We are always excited to hear from our followers!

You should have just left stop number 11 on the Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad  blog hop – Darcy of DJ's Stamping Space. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn’t work or you get off track, you will find  the full blog hop lineup below.

If you haven't had the chance to get your hands on any of the fun new items from the Occasions Catalog, you surly will want to after our hop!  I haven't purchased any valentine sets from the new catalog yet, but I have some of the new DSP and the fun new Scallop Tag Topper Punch, which makes for a really cute treat holder.  If I get really wild and crazy hair, I may make these for one of my boys' Valentine's treats this year....maybe ;-)
This little guy was CASE'd from the latest Stampin' Success (demonstrators receive this every other month).  You simply cut your paper to the length you desire, punch both ends using the Tag Topper, fold around your treat(s) and embellish!  Super easy and super ca-YOOOT!!!

My Dad, My Anchor ~ Monday Montage

Hello and welcome back to Monday Montage!  Did you miss us?!?!  Our talented group took a short break to enjoy the holiday season with our families and friends, but we are back with some awesome projects to share with you today!

Today happens to be my Daddy's 60th Birthday and I am happy to say I am finally wrapping up a project I've been talking about making for him for the past 2, maybe 3 years.  I just kept putting it off...for no good reason.  But I set a goal for myself ('tis the season, right?) to use my silhouette more, and this project was the perfect one to break it out again.  Keep in mind this project isn't totally finished...
...I'm still waiting to get some pictures back to hang on the handle of the oar.  This oar came from our boat, which we lost last fall in our wreck :(  My dad, hubby and boys had lots of fun crabbing trips in that boat, so this oar is a bit more special now that it is gone.  I used my Silhouette to cut out the Crabbin' Crew letters as well as the anchor.  The other images were created in MDS and fussy cut.  As soon as I completely finish the project I will post a picture for you to see!

You can't give a birthday gift without a birthday card, right?  Keeping up with the anchor theme, which is fitting because my dad is my anchor, I cut out another anchor for his card.  I LOVE the new High Tide DSP, in case you didn't notice ;-)
Supplies Used:

Paper ~ Smoky Slate, Real Red, High Tide DSP, Fresh Prints DSP
Ink ~ VersaMark
Stamp Sets ~ Remembering Your Birthday
Other Supplies ~ Silver Bakers Twine, Whisper White Embossing Powder, Mini Silver Brads, Silhouette e-cutter

Happy Birthday to the best Daddy a girl could ever ask for!

Next up is the always creative Cathy with her project for today or if you prefer to hop backwards, you can head on back to the awesome creation by Amy ...either way, just make sure you make the whole loop and don't miss any of us.  And don't forget to leave us some love on our blogs...we love hearing from you!

Thanks for hopping along with us today!

All That Glitters...

...is not gold.  It's SILVER!

Happy New Year and welcome to 2014!  The fantastic design team over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration is ringing in the New Year in glittery ~ shimmery fashion!  No better way to kick off 2014, right?!?!?

I decided on some subtle glitter for my card..easy to do with the new Happenings Simply Created Card Kit, which you can add to your collection starting tomorrow!  The Silver glitter banners and Silver Bakers Twine give just the right amount of glitter to these cute little note cards.  I added just a touch more bling with some rhinestones :-)
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ All paper used is provided in Happenings Simply Created Card Kit
Ink ~ Pear Pizzazz, Strawberry Slush
Stamp Set ~ Geometrical
Other Supplies ~ Buttons and Bakers Twine included in Happenings Simply Created Card Kit, Rhinestone Basics

I love how quick and easy the Simply Created Kits are...no measurements to worry about, no paper to cut...all you have to do is figure out your layout, stamp, adhere and voila!

Be sure to check out the rest of the Design Team to see what Glittery & Shimmery projects they have for you.  They are sure to INKspire YOU to CREATE today!

Happy New Year and Happy Stamping!
